Joined with other historical characters and your own as the time machine takes you all back in time to the next era that needs to be fixed, your only a little lightheaded this time.

This time, you will be in the eras involving medieval times, which includes the Renaissance (1300 to 1600, which was a period of art and culture). The doors led you to several different medieval kingdoms and there are many to choose from. Pick a time period and a country that involves the Middle Ages, but please do your research.

Typically most medieval times focuses from about 1000 A.D. to 1400, but you may choose a period slightly before or after it if you pick a good one.

Whatever country you choose, they're on the verge of a breakthrough in technology that they shouldn't have. It's obvious that Kenneth's time-traveling agents revealed too much to someone and now you have to stop them from discovering technology hundreds of years before they should.

I'll be looking for creativity and how well you show culture. Entertain me, give me feels, show me your characters thoughts and emotions!

Remember: If you handed in on time for Task 2, then you are SAFE from elimination.

CLUE:

Why is the Middle Ages often called the Dark Ages? If you guess this correctly, along with the 5 Knowledge Points you gain, then your characters will find and keep an English longsword.

Due date:

December 20th, 6pm central (this gives all of us a week and one day).

I wanted to get this Task up and finished before Christmas, that way we can have a short break for Christmas while I read and update and get back into things on Task Four on the 26th-ish, with an extended deadline due to the New Year Holiday. If you're traveling or anything and won't be here between now and December 21st, please let me know and I'll give you an extension and we can talk about how long you'll need. Just keep in mind I would like Task Four up before the New Year!

Word count:

6,000 for the main body of your entry, 2000 extra for character interactions. You must have at least 1,000 words in your entry. Any less will take point loss for being under.

Awards:

Discord - Whoever wins this award will have two or more of their characters get into a fight (yelling, fist fight or otherwise) as long as it's not brief. Anyone who wins this award will be allowed to make another character from any time during the medieval times and have them join your grew (if you want).

Troublemaker - Whoever wins this award will have one of their characters get in trouble with the law, possibly even arrested. Anyone who wins this award will be allowed to have me ignore one aspect of the grading rubric for Task 4.

Renaissance - Whoever wins this award will show me the Renaissance with all of my senses, emerge me in this time. Anyone who wins this award will be allowed to skip Task 4 with an automatic score of 10! Only the best of the best will receive this award!

Filth - Whoever wins this award will show me the filth of medieval times and make me feel utterly disgusted and repulsed. Anyone who wins this award will be allowed to ignore one aspect of the rules in Task 4 (except for the deadline; due to the fact that I have to keep this going, that won't work, lol), any other rules apply, but ONLY ONE.

Culture - Whoever wins this award will really show me the cultures they're in, the voices, the accents, the people, what they do, wear, how they act, everything! Anyone who wins this award will receive 15 extra Knowledge Points!

If you win ANY award, you will receive unlimited word count for Task Four!

Deaths:

2 required, but you can kill up to 5 other writer's characters. THESE MUST BE OTHER WRITERS CHARACTERS AND NOT YOUR OWN

If one of your characters was killed by another writer last round then you are required to kill off one of your own characters, but it can be any of them and doesn't necesarily have to be the one other writers killed off.

If your characters wasn't killed off last round at all, then you don't have to follow this rule at all :p (LUCKY PEOPLE XD)

Ballots:

10 but one of them must be yourself xD (I'm being evil today) You can distribute them as you see fit (all 10 to one person and so on).

Ballot punishments:

ariel_paiment1, JesterheadJohnSnow, and jesusfreak202, because you were all balloted the most, at 4 times, you must somehow include a massacre, slaughter, or mass killing in your entry.

Several7s, because you were balloted second, with 3, you must have one of your characters be badly wounded in this entry (it can't be the one that you kill off, if you're doing that).

Sara_R_Stark, because you were balloted in the middle, with 2, you must include some sort of mean animal in your entry (dog, wolf, bear, etc) but it has to be historically accurate to where you're located).

ZSB2000 and MusicgirlXD, because you were balloted last, with only one, you must have your entries take place in winter

THERE WILL BE ELIMINATIONS THIS ROUND. So please don't drop out! Remember that the two lowest scorers will be going up for voting after Task 3 is scored. So please, don't drop out that way we can continue the Games as normal, especially if you think you might be low enough to be eliminated, rather than drop out, please just wait!

Remember if you're traveling and need an extension for the holidays, please PM me and we can talk about how long you'll need as long as I get Task Four up around the 26th-27th, or before the New Year if we have to wait that long.
