Neil left his cabin and ran to the corridor when he saw avni near the lift

Neil: avni he called out but she didnt listen and got into the lift.

Before the lift could close neil reached on time and got in

Neil was glad that it was only them two but seen avni in this state didnt do any good to him.

Neil : avni please hear me out he said but avni turned around.

Before the lift could reach to the ground floor neil pressed the button to stop the lift from moving.

Neil: avni whatever u saw wasnt the way it looked

Avni:, I dont want to hear anything neil...I saw what I had to see now please I dont want to talk about this she said remembering the scene and wiped away her tear turning toward the wall

Neil sighed

He took a step closer to avni and turned her around to see her looking at the floor...Neil after a pause cupped her face making her look at him

Neil:avni I'm telling the truth I had nothing going on with that girl...she thought with tactics like this she can get a job...please believe me I'm not that sort of person...please avni he said..

something in Neil's voice made avni look at him and was able to see the honesty in his eyes.

Neil: trust me avni... I wont lie to u...avni looked at him for few secs and then nodded and wiped her tears.

Avni: I'm sorry for doubting u. Seen that girl in your lap I thought that the girl and u had something going on..but neil I want to be Frank we both havent exactly said yes to this marriage but I believe we  should still be loyal as this  is y we  r  getting to know each other

Neil: I agree avni and I'm sorry for making u cry unknowingly

Avni smiled at neil.

Avni:ab we cant be stuck in the lift forever na...

Neil smiled and started the list

Neil:avni

Avni:hmm she said turning to look at him .

Neil: y did u come here ? I mean u didnt tell

Avni: woh actually I came here to surpise u as u always made the effort so I thought I should do too

Neil:avni seriously that doesnt matter it's not like just because I did something means u have to do.

Avni:, I know but still...

Once they reached the ground floor both got out of the lift

avni: ok then see ya she said and was about to leave

Neil:avni wait he said

Avni:what happened she said facing him

Neil: shall we go out for lunch

Avni: what about your work

Neil:that can be handled later on

Avni thought for a sec

Avni:ok then.

Neil: just wait here I'll get my keys

Avni: ok

Neil got into lift and after a while he came back down

Neil: sorry let's go...avni nodded and both headed out

In the car after few mins

Neil: so u literally didnt have my office address and searched it up online

Avni:yup she said chuckling

Neil:u r crazy he said smiling

Avni: that is for sure she said with a playful smile while Neil was happy seen her like that

As they were on their way to a restaurant avni had noticed a pani puri stall

Avni: neilllll! stopp the car she said quickly

Neil:what happened he said  stopping the car and looked at her

Avni: pani puri stall she said excitingly while turning to look at him

Neil stared at avni for a sec

Neil: avni do u know u scared me for a sec

Avni:, what??

Neil: your neil stop the car made me think something happened he said shaking his head and then chuckled

Avni: ab that is the effect of pani puri but lets go na she said getting out of the car 

neil smiled got out of the car as he didnt want to disappoint her as he saw how excited she was seen that stall

As they reached to the pani puri stall avni gave an order of what type of pani puri they want...

Avni placed one in her mouth and savoured the taste while neil watched her.

When neil got one avni gestured him to go ahead he after a deep breath placed it in his mouth and  actually enjoyed it.

They continued to have some more when neil choked avni gave him water and rubbed his back

Avni: u ok ?

Neil:yes..this was the best pani puri even better than the restaurants

Avni:u never had it at the stall ?

Neil :I did but then it slowly stopped as I would be eating with clients at the restaurant

Avni: well I did a good cause then..u should become my pani puri buddy next time we will compete she said placing a puri in her mouth

Neil: done he said forwarding his plate and as he placed the puri in his mouth it suddenly started raining heavily after few secs

Neil ran under the bus stop which stopped him from getting wet...neil wiped his face with his handkerchief and looked at the rain irritatingly

On the other side avni smiled feeling the rain and closed her eyes while lifting her face up allowing the droplet of rain to fall on her.

Neil: this rain had to start now he said irritated when suddenly he noticed avni still standing near the stall with a smile on her face and eyes closed with her head tilted upwards but he also knew her standing like that could make her catch a cold...

He recalled how avni loves rain and smiled seen her bubbly nature..his eyes moved to her hand which slowly spread as if embracing the rain

He looked at the rain and then at avni....after few secs he quickly ran to where avni was and held her hand pulling her with him while avni opened her eyes and ran with neil with a smile on her face

Once reaching under the bus stop neil looked at avni to see her soaking wet....he took of his blazer and wrapped it around her shoulder making her look at him

Avni: neil I'm fine this is not needed

Neil:just keep it on as u r soaking wet and can catch a cold he said.

Avni: rain is my friend even if I do my cold will go away after a while.

Neil: that's what u feel but for now keep it on u he said.

After few min luckily for neil the rain had lessened...

Neil: avni let's get into the car before it starts getting heavy again

Avni:ok

Neil saw the pani puri man standing near a building as he had covered his stall..

Neil:avni wait here I'll go and pay the pani puri man

Avni nodded and Neil gave him the money telling him to keep the change and went back to where avni was and both headed to the car.

Avni: that was seriously fun

Neil: fun for u but not me he said making the car warm.

Avni: dw one day for sure u will enjoy the rain

Neil:I dont think so he said with a smile

Avni: neil let's head to the office now.

Neil:I agree I'm kind of full with all those pani puri in my stomach

Avni:count me in too.

Neil: I'm sure we would have some more if it hadn't rain

Avni:well I can agree on that bit.

After a while avni made a call to her driver and told him to be back in 15 mins at khanna office

Neil: avni shall I tell u one thing

Avni:go ahead. ..

Neil:I actually enjoy been with u..whenever we talk or meet up it really makes me happy and makes my day go well...spending time with u is seriously a joy

Avni:shall I also tell u something

Neil: what ?

Avni:mutal feeling neil..even I enjoy spending time with u...sometimes we dont need  any convo but that doesnt make it awkward but comfortable she said

Neil: truth

After a while avneil finally reached to the khanna office

Avni:ok then see u later

Neil: bye and keep visiting like this

Avni: for sure and our pani puri competion is pending

Neil :we will do that soon

Both stood looking at each other not knowing if they should say a normal bye or give a hug

Avni: ok then bye she said

Neil: bye he said giving a warm smile

Neil watched as avni got onto the car and soon walked into his office

Later on at night at the khanna mansion after dinner

Shweta: Tillu.

Neil:haan mom he said while looking into some file

Shweta: have u come to a decision yet she said looking at bebe and prakash and then at neil

Neil: regarding what mom ?

Shweta: regarding u and avni

On the mention of avni he looked at shweta but then turned his attention to bebe when she spoke

Bebe: puttar we dont mind u and avni getting to know each other but in this short spam of time do u feel that u r ready to take this ahead..

Neil looked at his family for few mins

Shweta: Tullu speak y r u silent.

Neil:mom

Shweta:haan?

Neil: I like avni... she is different from other girls...I'm ready to marry her he said

The Khanna family were happy with that news and called neela

Neela: that is great shweta ji I will just ask avni and let u know

Shweta: ok neela ji bye

Neela told the metha family of neil decision and went to avni room who was busy writing new recipes

Avni:haan maa she said looking up at her

Neela: bacha shweta ji called...neil is ready to marry u

Avni looked at neela for a sec...she didn't know if she heard right...she didn't know y but that made her heart beat fast

Avni: neil Said yes ? She asked again to make sure

Neela: haan bacha now u tell us your decision.

Avni:its a yes from me too she said looking down not knowing y she was feeling shy.

Neela cupped her face and kissed her forehead and went down to tell rest of the family members and inform neil..

Shweta: that is really a great news shweta ji finally both of our kids agreed.

Neela:u r right now let's go to Pandit ji tommrow to fix the wedding date

Shweta:haan ji

Meanwhile avni was on the terrace on The phone to neil

Neil : so u had agreed to get married but didnt tell me he sald

Avnk:, even u didnt she said smiling.

Neil: well i thought I'll tell mom when she asks and despite it only been a while I couldn't say no

Avni: I didnt know I will say yes this soon

Neil:but u did

Avni:haan she said blushing

Suddenly Riya and aman ran to the terrace to congratulate avni

Riya:Aman look here we have come to congratulate avni but she is busy talking to her soon to by hubby she said teasingly  a bit loudly so that Neil can hear too

Avni:um neil got to go bye she said but was able to hear him chuckle on the other end

Riya: awww sad that we disturbed your moment

Aman:riya di let's go so that avni di can continue speaking to jiju he said and both him and Riya gave a hi fi

Avni:u both r gone she said making a run towards them while aman and riya ran away from avni

The next day at the mandir neela shweta bebe and dayawanti were at the mandir while the Pandit ji was was checking avneil kundali

Pandit ji: the auspicious day for engagement is after 4 days and wedding date is after a week.

The ladies folded their hands and  went outside the mandir

Neela: I cant believe we got this early date

Shweta: exactly neela ji

Dayawanti:  first of all we need to decide on many things for instance venue and all decoration

Neela: though engagement will happen at metha mansion

Bebe: that is fine

Shweta:how about u all come to khanna mansion and we can discuss about this then

Bebe:perfect idea shweta

Dayawanti : that is done then

Shweta:, so tonight dinner at our place
