it was exactly 24 hours and in this 24 hours Avni had asked for more than 24 times about her discharge. Generally in such cases, a doctor gets irritated and usually passes a sarcastic remark but for karan he handled her as his most cranky child patient.

He made sure to pass a proper treatment as well maintained a friendly atmosphere around as somewhere he got tensed vibes beside him.

Avni was no less rather than resting she was preparing for a list of excuses to exit the hospital.

listing some as
the bed being itchy...
smell being sick....
stinky clothes....
unease.....
dad's need.....

at last she was handed her mobile phone for a hour so as to keep her quiet. she quickly speed dailed none other than sun and got the updates about pandit. She had faith on sunheri but the same faith was on pandit that he would plan something and she had to go back asap. But only if the fellow doc allowed.

at last when all the family members went and she pushed Riya and Aman as well,she called doc to speak.

Karan- seems now the kiddo wants something....at ur maam...speak what do u want ? I have everything here except for discharge.
(with his charming smile)

Avni-(deep breathing to calm herself from yelling while Karan mentally laughed at her condition) oh..k look doctor karan...I understand that u r doing ur duty by letting me rest over here but do u think that me being at unrest would help me heal faster??

Karan-(turning a bit serious)  well If u know that by being this hyper u aren't helping urself than u should relax na?

Avni-(giving up on how to make this idiot understand but she would try once more) I cannot as the criminal whom we have caught is really dangerous and if he runs away then probably I would be in major trouble next time. Plus some personal accounts are still left to settle with him. Ohk I understand I need rest right?(Karan nods) I will but once I have to finalize the criminals punishment. I won't at rest until that but if u help me out then I will for sure be a good pateint.

Karan-(in a fact way) u have caught him and the courts will be giving him the punishment then from where do u think u would give him the punishment?

Avni-(feirce way) I am not the one to be blind when it comes to justice seeking, I have my ways to push the people towards their destiny. If he reaches court and gets lifetime imprisonment then he will for sure run away. This can't happen, he is a leech and a mighty one , he would destroy everything. please do let me go.

Karan -(impressed manner) the way u r ready to pull that leech makes me think that u are fit to be allowed ur own way. For the first time ever I would be mending my rules but that doesn't mean that u won't come here. I can give u only 4 hrs as I know the medicines would help u till 4 hrs then u have to be here or else I would be forced to take certain unpleasant steps. Is that clear officer??

Avni-(scowling look) as if I would have any other option!!

Karan quickly took the medicinal kit and started doing his work. Once done he detached all the wires and let her free. She quickly changed and left for the destination not before calling and explaining sunheri.

She knew that his case was taken on the fast track and hence today was his hearing. She had an idea of open and shut case but can't say anything as he was very smart.

She was directly meeting the team at court . after sometime she was standing outside the court. Pandit was brought by then by sun and others. She looked at him and he gave a lusty look in return making her uncomfortable.

pandit-sirf tujh mein itna himmat hai re jo hua uske baad bhi mere saamne khade hone ki. Chal koi baat nhi tujhe mein ek free ki advice deta hai ...... bach ke rehna re baba bach ke rehna re....vo kya hai na aaj agar mein nikla to tu nhi bachegi ya phir mein.

Avni gestured the team to cover him and her. The team did and she gave a tight slap to pandit .

Avni- ye meri taraf se jab bhi kisi ladki ko dekhne ka man kare to isko yaad karna. Aur aaj to tera band ,baja aur baraat mein hi nikalne vali hu re be ready. leke jao.

They all reached court room and settled themselves. Soon the judge came and along with pandit many of the ministers were exposed.
This being a high profile case , media too was allowed in the court room. It was a live telecast.

at the end all of them got the expected punishment and pandit was given life imprisonment.

Avni was satisfied with the hearing and smirked at sun.

The media asked Avni many questions to which she asked would be entertained later as the duty to put the criminals back at the place they desire was important.

she too sat with the havaldars in the van which had criminals in it with pandit.

She started with proper treatment of them until when the pandit took the gun out of Avni's uniform and pointed at her. All the havaldars pointed at him.

pandit- Maine kaha na aaj ya to tu bachegi ya mein. Par ab to mein tujhe chodega nhi , isiliye apni ulti ginti gin. He loaded the gun and was ready to shoot. Just as he pressed the trigger, the shot wasn't possible as the gun didn't had bullets. Avni smirked and remove the bullets fr her pocket while the pandit understood her game. The havaldars one by one started to shoot at pandit and soon he was lifeless. While the other criminals were shivering.

Avni- bata dena inko ki agar favour mein mu na khola to iske jaisa hi haal hoga.

She left and informed the incident about the same. The media came and saw the situation and registered all the facts. While one of the most senior media personel reached Avni and showed her the pics of her bullets.

personel- aakhir pandit ke liye the great ACP ne kanoon phirse tod hi diya

Avni- mere kaam karne ka yahi style hai. Ye aaj to jail chala jaata par baadme bhaag bhi jaata. Anyways agar aapko ye likhna hai to yehi likh...

personnel- to dekha aapne apne kiye ka koi bhi sharm nhi tha pandit ko aur ek baar phir desh ki beti par usne haath uchala. Lagta hai pandit ko is se bhi jyaada kadi milni chahiye thi. Jaisa aap dekh sakte hai ACP Avni ki kya haalat kiya tha usne phir bhi ek jaabaaz officer ki tarah usko saza dene aayi jabki unke doctor ne apne statement mein clearly bataya tha ki kaise unhone unse behas ki court aane ke liye. Desh ko aap pe garv hai ACP.

Avni looked shocked at the mention of doctor and all the more for her to cover for her.

Avni- Aapne....

personnel- jab tum nyay ke liye ye sab kar sakti ho to mein bhi ek chota sa yogdaan de sakti ho. rest Avni rest!!

she left and Avni too reached hospital where her family was waiting for her very happily. Ashish was the most elated one.

Avni-(, hugging Ashish) paa vo mujhe.

Ashish- tune jo kiya barabar kiya hai. Aaj sirf Shweta ya neela nhi balki har ek aurat ko justice mili hai. M proud of u rockstar.

avni then saw Karan looking at his watch.

Avni,-(rolling her eyes) oh...k fine I am 5 mins late not more and now I have to follow u as I promised.

Karan-(smirks) impressive ! the fisty cat is now a bhigi billi. I liked it. nurse get her to her room.
