//Jacob's POV //

"It's been a while since I've danced," I heard Blue say from inside the room. I just escaped from Grandma after her usual lecture every morning.

It was Saturday and I promised to take her out, I now wonder where to take her. But as I heard her last statement, I realized the best place to take her.

To the popular Abuja Stunners, they are having a dance concert today. But before that, I want to show her my favorite place in the city and a new book store I found to study a bit.

I knocked on the door and someone came to open, guess who?
Stacy everytime.

"Hey, you finally escaped," She laughed.

"Who told you about that?" I asked but I already knew the answer.

The door opened wider to Samuel who was already grinning at me.

"Not cool man. Funny but not cool." I said.

"What's not cool?" Blue came to the door, her hair was already loose but she bonded it and it looked a bit messy but it was beautiful.
I stared at her, she was putting on a sweatpants and a blue fitting top, with a slicked tennis shoe.

"You can take a picture of her, it would last long." Stacy commented.

"Her own way of saying that's enough staring." Blue said and that immediately made me take my eyes off her.

I stared at Jacob then at the floor and at her again. "Blue, I need to talk to you."

"About what?"

I looked at Stacy and Samuel, hoping they'll get the idea that I want them out of the room. Samuel immediately got it and dragged Stacy.

"Stacy, come I need to show you something." Stacy already super excited about whatever Samuel was going to show her, I hope it's a good thing though.

"What do you want to talk about?" Blue asked again.

"You remembered, I told you I was going to take you out today." I fumbled with my words but I still said it.

She raised her eyebrows at me and immediately I felt turned on. How does she raising her brow makes me feel this way?

"Don't you remember?" I groaned, I wish she would just answer me so I'll take care of my urge already. All thanks to my baggy trouser, if not I'd be exposed already and that would be embarrassing.

"I do," She sighed, "Where do you want to take me?"

"It might be a little surprise, so I'm not telling you, just get ready I'll take my bath and come back."

"Okay? Am I not fine like this, I can't go to look for another clothes today o." She said, frowning a bit.

"It's fine, I didn't know if you were okay going out in dance clothes."

"Whateves." She rolled her eyes and pushed me outside, "I want to change so get out."

"Okay okay, fine. I'm out!" I said and went to my room carefully avoiding grandma.

In less than fifteen minutes, I was through and I walked down to the guest room where Blue was staying. On my way, Grandma appeared in front of me.

"Jacob, are you avoiding me?" She asked and I was shocked.

"Er... Why would you think something like that?"

She looked peeringly into my eyes, "I asked you to come back but you didn't and I saw you a while ago looking around like you were running from something."

"Grandmaaa..." I called, "You know I don't like lying to you but your lecture these days is becoming too much."

"You very well know the reason why I give all those lectures, your mother--"

"Grandma!" I cut in, "Please, I'm never going back there and could you please let me go, I'm taking Blue out for a surprise."

"Uhm, do you love her?"

"Grandma?! I just like her and that's all, I can't love anyone yet except you though."

She laughed, "Oh well, tell her how much you love her, bye boy." She rubbed my hair even though she knows how much I hate it. I mean, I spent minutes trying to keep it slicked.

My Grandma was my best woman after my mother, immediately after my mother died she tried to get close to me several times. I pushed her away so many times but she never gave up on me even after the terrible things I did.

As I walked down the stairs, I heard my phone ring. "Ow!" I groaned and picked it up, it was an unknown number but it looks familiar.
"Hello?" I said into the receiver.

"Is this Mr Sanwo Jacob?"

"Yes, who's speaking please?"

"It's from Tay's pet store."

My eyes widened, it's been almost two years since I've been on the waiting list for pets in that store. "Yes, do you have the pet now?"

"Yes, in actual fact it is a failed police dog."

I furrowed my brows as if the man could see me, "Failed? Why?"

"She's just to playful, that's all."

She? I definitely know who this pet is for, I just hope she'll like it. "Okay, I'll transfer the money to your account and text the address too, just send me your bank details." I said. I had a really nice amount of money in my account, part of what I got from my bad dealings.

"Okay then, thank you very much for patronizing our store." The man said and ended the call.

"Yes! This would be the best date ever!" I voiced out. Wait, Date? I'm I really taking her on a date?

I shook that thought off, I wasn't taking her on a date, just friends going out together. But what does she think?

"I'm ready." Blue said immediately I got to her door, "I already heard your footsteps." She came out and closed the door. "Where is Stacy... and Samuel?"

"They're up in Samuel's room checking out his computer." It was after the statement I had the chance to check her out, she was putting on a white jeans trouser and a blue shirt with the same slick tennis shoes. "You look... Nice."

"Nice? That's all you could say? I wasted my time trying to find a perfect combination and now you're telling me 'Nice'." She continue to rant about. "Instead of you appreciating or looking for another good word, you're telling me..." She didn't finish as it was like she realized she's been talking too much.

"Sorry, I didn't know which word you'll be comfortable with." I said, truthfully.

"It's okay, I don't even know why I was ranting, maybe because I'm excited about where we're going." She paused, "Where are we going?"

"From what I still know, it wouldn't be a surprise anymore if I told you."

She frowned then she smiled again, "Fine! Let's go. Have you told your grandma?"

"Yes, I have."

"Are we taking the bicycles?"

"No."

"Is it a far place?"

"Maybe."

"What are--"

"Shh!" I placed a finger on her lips. "You're asking too much questions."

She raised her eyebrow at me and I immediately looked away, my finger still on her lips.

"Why did you look away?"

She noticed that?, "You're still asking questions."

She frowned and bite my finger that was placed on her lips.

"Ah!" I yelled. "Dog!"

She laughed at me, "Sorry."

I didn't say a word, I just pulled her and we ran to the nearest bus stop.
