Hey guys this is the sequel for an Unexpected Friendship, some of the chapters while be in Kilis Pov and some others in other characters pov, I have decided to start from where it left off, so enjoy.

Kilis pov

All I can feel is pain, even the littlest touch is painful no matter how gentle the healer was being, the one thing I didn't understand was that my wife wasn't by my side. "Abrax" I cried as the healer began to heal my wounds, my brother ran in and sat by my side and it looked like he had been crying.

"Brother...what's wrong?" I wheezed.

"Abrax... she's... she's gone Kili. I am so sorry" He told me, I just looked at him hoping he was kidding with me but I soon learnt he was telling the truth. I burst into tears my chest hurting from the wounds but I could feel my heart breaking, the only one I ever loved was now gone and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to her.

"How did she die?" I asked, trying to speak past the lump in my throat.

"There was a shard from the enchanted blade which was still in her body and travelled to her heart" He answered.

"An enchanted blade shard?" I quizzed him wiping the tears from my eyes. I was the only one who knew what to do if either of us was stabbed by an enchanted blade. If removed I get my Abrax left but the only complication would be how long she had been dead for. "How long has she been dead?" I quizzed him.

"About half an hour" Fili answered.

"Why?" A blood covered Thorin asked waltzing in with a dead wolf in his arms.

"Because if an enchanted blade is removed, like we did for her before when she was attacked by the Nazgul that time she will live, her healing and immortality will return" I explained, Thorin laid my wife down next to me so she was facing me and so I could reach Fili pushed her closer to me, I felt her freezing flesh against mine. "Ohl Abrax, hun" I said stroking her head making her ears twitch but I didn't excited thinking she was alive as it was just the muscle in her ears reacting to my touch. I would do anything to see those eyes of hers, to hear her loving voice once again, I kissed her cold paw and my tears continued to fall for her. 'If only I was there to comfort her' I thought.

"Where's Frerin?" I asked.

"Here" Tauriel answered walking in with my son in her arms. "You know, I could use my elven magic to remove the shard, because then we wont have to make it worse by cutting her open and then taking more time for her to heal" Tauriel suggested.

"As long as you can do it!" I exclaimed coughing and having to turn to the side as I was coughing up blood.

"Rest brother, we've got this" Fili told me as Tauriel handed my son over to him, so Abraxs left paw was moved gently so Tauriel could reach Abraxs heart, I kept her right paw locked in my hand it wasn't long till I fell asleep since I was still weak from blood loss. I woke up to someone shouting.

"Got it!" Tauriel exclaimed and I looked to her hand, there was the shining, fatal shard in her hand. I kept staring at Abrax's closed eyes hoping they would open and stare back at me, I was hoping to hear her breathe again, hoping to feel her grasp my hand back, hoping to hear her howl or at least a pine but she remained quiet, I was desperate to hold her in my arms like we used it when it was it was cold in the forest and I would hug her till she was warm and she no longer shivered, but not a single muscle flinched or moved, I just had to learn to accept defeat.

"I think we're too late" I said with tears dribbling down my cheeks.

"I am sorry" my brother said resting his hand on my shoulder.

"You tried your best and that's all I could ask for" I replied. I just smiled at Tauriel and nodded at her as a thank you for her trying, I looked at my uncle and he seemed to be as upset as I was.
