Just as we were about to give up on her, we heard a tapping sound we looked over and saw Abrax's tail wagging very gently, it was followed with a sigh and a pine. "Abrax?" I asked, her eyes opened slowly and she had to blink twice, I noticed her pupil dilating as it adjusted to the light, her ears twitching to every little sound, at first she clawed my hand but I didn't cry out because I knew she didn't know where she was and it was instinct for her to defend herself. I moved closer to her and put her left paw over my shoulder. "Ohl Abrax" I said kissing her snout. I could see the Fili and Thorin were joining me in crying tears of happiness, and Tauriel was just smiling.

'Kili?' She asked telepathically. 'Am I dead?' She added.

"Not anymore" I whispered only loud enough for her to hear and her ears twitched as she listened to me. She gently wrapped her paw around my hand and nuzzled my neck, I just tickled her behind her ears and she just smiled at me even though she showed me a jaw full of sharp teeth, she soon turned into human but she whimpered a little as she did, but I pulled her to my chest and I ignored the stinging pain as Abrax was more important to me than my wounds.

"We'll leave you two alone" Thorin said walking out. Abrax pulled herself closer to me and I wrapped her in my arms.

"Abrax if you're going to be a mercenary, then I am going to be a mercenary, we do this job together or not at all" I said to her, stroking her hair gently.

"What about Frerin, Thorin, Fili, Dis and the Blue Mountains?" She panicked.

"Abrax I love them all, but I hate being parted from you" I told her.

"And I you, but if you do become a mercenary we are going to have to new armour and you follow my instructions" She explained.

"Okay" I agreed.

Abrax soon fell asleep and it wasn't long till I joined her, I dreamt about the day we were married and how beautiful she looked, but I then dreamt about the war zones we had been in and how she was still beautiful caked in Orc blood, I was woken up to Abrax shifting in my arms and Oin was at our side. "You both look okay, so you can carry on with your journey soon" he said. Thorin had arranged for a cart for both my wife and I, as we were still to weak to walk.

"So what are we killing first?" I asked Abrax, as the cart pulled away.

"Let me see" She said pulling the letter out from her pocket.  "Well there is a troll and three Wargs plaguing the borders of the Shire" Abrax answered. "And I fight trolls in wolf form" She told me.

This was going to be fun, at least I know my wife was safe with me at her side.
