Kili lay his head on my shoulder, I just smiled and gently tapped his hand. "The Shire is the most peaceful place where I have spent my time," the hobbit said.

"And Rivendell?" I asked.

"That's a close second." He replied. He was right, the only sound we could hear were the birds.

"It's nice to get out of the mountain for a while," Kili said.

"It's nice not to be training or working in the forges." I told him.

"Forges?" the hobbit asked looking at me.

"Yes, Thorin realised her potential and decided to upgrade her." Kili said. "She also trains the troops, so she's tired most of the time." he added.

"Hows Thorin?" Bilbo asked.

"He's okay but we're still watching his dragon sickness." Kili said. My ears began to flick up and i sat up immediately.

"What's wrong?"" Bilbo inquired, but the noise soon revealed itself and it was just a deer and its fawn!Right, shall we go to the Prancing Pony and get some food?" he asked.

"Yes," Kili and I nodded and we all stood, Kili helping me off the ground like the gentleman he was, we walked in silence till we reached the town of hobbiton and everyone was glancing at us. I must have looked like an elf. We then entered into the prancing pony and sat at a corner table, he left me and Kili while he ordered food.

"Abrax are you okay?" Kili asked.

"Yes I'm fine." I said.

"It's just two more days and then we head home." he said and gently stroked my arm.

"It's okay I can wait a bit longer." I replied to him. The hobbit came back and placed three plates on the table, accompanoed with three mugs of ale.

"I wouldn't give her ale she can and will drink you under the table." KIli laughed.

"Those days are behind me, now that I'm a parent," she giggled.

"So I understand you have the beast under control?" Bilbo asked.

"Somewhat, but still likes to break free every now and then." i answered.

"And before you ask, no the shapeshifting ability doesn't pass on to the children thank goodness." Kili explained.

"We would have little wolves running all over the place." I giggled.

Kili and I began to eat as did the hobbit when we saw someone walk in and it was Gandalf. "It's great to see you both visitng an old friend." he said as he greeted us. "How long are you here for?"

"Another two days," Kili answered.

"Do you mind if I join you?" he asked.

"Not at all," I said. We all shuffled around so he could have a seat.

"I hear you fought well with the Nazgul when they attacked hobbiton." he said.

"Someone had to, no one else heard them except me." I replied.

"I envy your hearing Abrax." he said. "We could always use you for battle for the archers."

"How much you willing to pay me to hire my hearing?" i asked.

"What happened to fighting for honour?" he asked.

"When I started crafting armour." I replied.
