The next morning came. I phoned up Mary security to book an appointment to see her. I told the security it was about a incident at work and they referee me to Mary. I got one for midday. I decided I would get in contact with Nicole and tell her what I had found out.

We met at O'Leary's at nine. When I arrived she had already ordered out drinks. She ordered a mocha latte for herself and a a large double espresso from me.  "So why you rush off yesterday?" Nicole asked sipping her latte. I sighed knowing she decided a explanation. "Sorry about that I had to check Violet folder. Something you said yesterday reminded me of something I read in the file so I had to check" Nicole nodded understand my reasoning as she smiled enjoying her latte. "Well by the way you left with out saying anything I'm surprised Victor put up with you for 10 years as homicide investigator partners, but did you find anything?." Nicole chuckled teasing me and asked my seriously.

I cracked a smile at Nicole's reply we had only know each other a few year but we had the same relationship Victor and I had 16 years a go. Open, funny and could read me like a book. The funny truth is I when throw six partners before I met Victor Small. They all called me to laid back and not fit for the job but when things got serious so did I and that what you never saw because they would always leave before that. Nicole waved her hand in my face. I had day dreamed about my past "You done day dreaming and ready to tell me what you called me here for" she smiled.

"Yeah I'm doe day dreaming. I called you hear to tell you I found a box outside my flat last night and well here read this letter I found inside it." I handed Nicole the letter seeing her read it. Her face dropped as she read it. "What the hell. Ok that creepy what are you going to do G?" Nicole asked looking at me worried. I chuckled and took the letter back "What I usually do in a situation like this my job." I smirked I looked at my watch to see I had an hour and a half to get to the other side of the Brooklyn river to Mary Ashton's office and talk to her. "Ive got to go Nicole I'll keep you posted and don't tell anyone ok." I said getting up quickly finishing my drink and running out on her again. "You better and you owe me next time G that's twice I've pained for you here." I heard her chuckle as I left.
