Jasper was worried about Julie. She was already grounded for skipping three classes. He feared that she might be grounded even longer for sneaking out. He was currently going over his song he recently wrote. He was home alone (not a surprise there) because his parents were at work. They were always at work and the little time he got to spend with them was at night (if they didn't come home from work late) or in the mornings before school.

He knows that they really do love him, they just don't show it or tell him. He guessed they showed it by the way they give him everything he asks for and lets him do whatever he wants. It's not all that bad, but he doesn't want stuff. He just wants to spend time with them.

****

At school the next day, Jasper and Julie were at their lockers which happened to be near each other. She had been informing Jasper that with Flynn's help they're throwing a party at her house and they're gonna invite some people from school over. She added that her dad was even going to help record them to put them on YouTube so more people could see them perform. Jasper thought it was a great idea because they could grow popular with being on YouTube. The band had marketing (thanks to Flynn), but being on YouTube would help them a lot more.

"Oh, also, I was thinking of singing a song I wrote at our next gig." Jasper admits, closing his locker after he got the books out he needed. He smiles shyly and shrugs. "Is that okay?"

Julie smiles excitedly. She knew that he wrote songs, but he never showed them to anyone because he was worried they weren't good enough. "Of course it is! Do you want us to perform with you or do you want to try and perform by yourself?" She smiles softly at him, playfully elbowing him. "'Cause I know you would be amazing either way."

Jasper glances down shyly, feeling his face heat up, and he ignores the way butterflies swarm in his stomach. "I think I wanna try singing it by myself. I wanna prove to myself that I'm ready to do that." He looks back at Julie, the blush on his face growing redder upon seeing the proud expression on her face. "I mean, I sang a duet with you during 'Finally Free' and so I think that helped prepared me for singing by myself."

"That's awesome, Jas. I'm so proud of you." Julie complimented.

"Thank you." Jasper smiles brightly. "And, uh," He rubs the back of his neck nervously, bringing his gaze to the floor. "I also wanted to tell you that, I think-I think you make me better. I mean, with singing on stage." The blush on his face hadn't gone away yet and he felt like his heart was pounding out of his chest because of how nervous he was. He looks at her with a shy smile. "I just feel comfortable and not nervous when singing with you no matter where we are."

Julie looks at him with a bit of surprise, feeling her face heat up and she did her best to ignore the butterflies swarming in her stomach. She smiles widely and nods. "Yeah, um, I think we make each other better." Hearing her say that made the blush grow a shade deeper on Jasper's face and his smile widened. The two teens smiled at each other, looking at each other with adoration.

"Hey, guys." Their cute moment was ruined by one of the phantoms suddenly appearing beside them. They look away from each other to look over and see Luke smiling at them. He grimaces when he realizes something. "Oh, did I interrupt something?"

"No, um," Jasper and Julie glance a each other with shy smiles before they both look back at Luke. "You're fine." Julie assured Luke.

"So," Jasper holds onto the straps of his backpack, side glancing at Luke since he didn't want people to think he was talking to air. "What are you doing here?"

"We need to talk about what song we're gonna play tonight." Luke replies. "I was thinking 'Great'."

"Hey, Julie." A girl greets Julie as she walks by. "What's up?" Julie smiled awkwardly at her and nodded.

"Jasper, hey." Jasper glances at the end of the hallway upon seeing sone of the lacrosse guys he was friends with waves and smile at him. "Hey, guys." Jasper smiled at them, giving them a small wave.

Jasper gets his phone out of his pocket along with Julie and they both pretend to be on a call so they can talk to Luke and not have others thinking they're crazy. Luke looks at the two of them with offense. "You guys are just gonna take a call while we're talking? You know how rude that is?"

"Hey! Thanks for calling. Otherwise, people might think Jas and I are talking to ourselves." Julie said, pretending like she was on a phone call, but she was talking to Luke.

Luke nods in realization. "Right." He smiles. "Nice." Jasper chuckled and shook his head.

"No, but yeah, I think 'Great' is a great choice." Julie answered Luke's question about what song they should perform that night.

"Yeah," Jasper agrees, smiling at Luke. "That's a great song to sing for tonight."

"Sweet, well, I mean that's pretty much what I wanted to talk to you guys about." Luke glances at Jasper with a smile. "Oh, and also, Alex told me that you might be singing a song you wrote?"

Jasper smiles. "Thanks, Luke. Yeah, I'm planning on singing a song I wrote tonight at the party."

Luke grins. "That's awesome, man. You know what?" He glances between the two teens. "Why don't you guys just ditch school today? Let's go rehearse."

Jasper shakes his head. "We can't. I don't wanna miss anything for possible homework."

"Yeah," Julie agrees with Jasper. "I promised my dad, school first."

"Okay, well," Luke faces Jasper with a pleading look. "Jas, it wouldn't hurt to not do well on a couple homework assignments," He then faces Julie with that same pleading look. "And Julie, you're at school first, and now you're leaving to go rehearse."

Jasper nods, pressing his lips together as he mentally debates on what to do. Luke was starting to convince him to ditch school, but he knew that wouldn't be a good idea. "Good rhyme."

Luke smiles. "Thanks." He looks at the two teens with a pleading expression. "Guys, come on. You both know I can't do this without you."

Jasper bites his lower lip nervously, mentally debating with himself about what to do. He shares a glance with Julie and they both silently agree. "We can't." Julie answers for them both. She shrugs. "I told Nick I'd be his dance partner."

"And her dance class is next period." Jasper added.

"Hey, Julie!"

"And he's heading this way." Julie's eyes widen and Jasper glances behind him to see the blonde-haired boy walking over to them. He faces Julie as she pretends to end a call. "Gotta go. Bye."

"Yeah, bye." Jasper pretended to end a call a few moments after Julie did and put his phone into the pocket of his hoodie. He steps to the side as Nick got closer to them. He shares a smile with Nick while the blonde stands in front of Julie. "Okay," He drags out the word, awkwardly pointing over his shoulder. "This is my cue to leave."

He turns around and begins walking down the hallway, not missing the fact Luke follows him. "Wait, who was that guy?" Luke asked, gesturing with a nod of his head to Nick.

"Julie's crush." Jasper mumbled, rolling his eyes.

Luke's eyes widen in realization as he puts the pieces together. "You like Julie!"

Jasper stares at him with panic and glances around to see if anyone heard, but then mentally scolds himself for being stupid after remembering that Luke is a ghost and no one can see him. Jasper stops walking to lean against some lockers, getting his phone out and pretending to take a call again. "Okay, hey, what's up? But yeah, yeah." He glances at Luke, who stood in front of him. He nervously smiles. "I like Julie. And listen, if you like her then I'll back off because I think she might like you-"

"Wait, hold up." Luke raises his eyebrows at Jasper. "You think I like Julie?" Jasper looks at him with confusion and nods in response. "Jas, I don't like Julie, okay?" Luke assures him, smiling slightly at Jasper. "Trust me, we're just friends." He smirks at jasper. "So you should go for it with Julie."

A sigh of relief escapes Jasper's lips and he smiles. "Okay, good." His eyes widen when he realizes the last thing Luke said. "Wait, you think I have a shot with Julie?"

"Of course, man." Luke nods. "You guys are best friends. It's obvious you're perfect for each other." He nods and chuckles. "So, yeah, I think you have a shot with Julie." He grins when he thought of an idea. "Oh! If that song you wrote is about her then that would probably help her realize you like her." Jasper grows quiet, staring at the floor shyly as blush appears on his face. Luke smirks at him and crosses his arms. "It is about Julie! Okay, great. So just sing that song tonight and then confess your feelings to her after the party. I bet you that she feels the same way."

Jasper looks back at Luke with a smile. "Thank you, Luke. And I hope you're right 'cause I don't wanna ruin my friendship with her because of some stupid feelings."

****

Julie was feelings many different emotions. Confused was the main one. During her dance with Nick, she imagined Jasper in his place. Why? She's not for sure. lately, she had been staring to notice how different she had been acting around Jasper. How he managed to get her to blush and make butterflies swarm in her stomach. She knew she must have feelings for him and that scared her.

Flynn walks into the music room when she heard the sound of a piano playing, noticing Julie sitting at the piano. Unbeknownst to Flynn, Julie was playing a song she wrote called 'Perfect Harmony'. When she imagined her and Jasper dancing, they were also singing that song she wrote which was about Jasper. She thinks at the time when she wrote it she didn't want to admit to herself that she was starting to have feelings for her best friend, but now that she's for sure of her feelings she knows she can't ignore them to make them go away.

"There you are." Flynn sighs with relief, walking over to the piano. Julie stops playing and looks at her. "I've been looking all over for you. Why'd you run out of dance class so fast?"

"Sorry." Julie apologizes. "I just needed some air. It was a little intense in there."

Flynn sits down on a chair nearby the piano, facing Julie. She smirks. "Oh, I noticed. Dancing with a guy you've had a crush on for forever will do that to a girl."

"Yeah." Julie sheepishly smiles. "But the whole time we were dancing," She pushes a loose hair behind her ear shyly. "I was thinking about Jasper."

Flynn looks at her with surprise. "Seriously?" She grins. "First off, I always knew that you two would get together!" She points at Julie. "I've already thought a ship name for you guys, Jaslie. Second, I'm so happy that it might actually happen."

Julie giggles a bit, amused by her enthusiasm. "I'm kind of happy it might happen too. I mean, I think I've always liked him, but I'm just now admitting it to myself. I never wanted to admit it 'cause I didn't want to ruin our great friendship."

"Well, I didn't wanna say anything 'cause I didn't know how you felt, but I noticed the way Jasper had been acting around you recently and it was the clear signs of someone having a crush on someone." Flynn said excitedly. "So I think you wouldn't ruin your friendship if you told him how you really felt about him."

"The thing is," Julie frowns. "I think now Nick likes me." She chuckles in disbelief. "Nick!"

Flynn nods and she smiles. "He totally does."

Julie sighs, bringing her gaze to the floor. "Jasper and I are a lot closer than Nick and I though."

"Okay, here's what we're gonna do." Flynn reaches over to grab Julie's phone off the top of the piano and pulls up Julie's contacts. "Send Jasper a nice little friendly text, asking him to stay after the party. And, who knows, maybe you just think you have feelings for Jasper because of how close you've been getting recently."

Flynn shows Julie the text. Julie cringes, shaking her head. "I don't usually send that many smiley faces. And Jas knows that, he'll figure out that something is up."

"You do now." Flynn smiles. "I'm not going to let you get your heart broken." She shrugs. "If he does figure out something is different about you by how you're acting then who cares. And the thing with Nick, you'll just have to tell him nicely that you don't feel the same way if he tells you he likes you."

"Yeah," Julie sighs. "Okay." After she thinks for a few seconds, she smiles nervously. "So, the plan is I'm telling Jasper how I feel about him tonight after the party."

"Yes!" Flynn cheered.

****

That night the Molina's backyard was full of teens, talking amongst themselves as they waited for the performance to happen. Fairy lights surrounded the backyard, the video camera was set up in a place to get a good view of the performance, and there was also a snack table off to the side.

"What's up, everybody?" Flynn speaks into a microphone from off to the side. "Time to put your hands up, do a little dance, yup." Carlos, Julie's brother, and his friend walks over to the closed doors of the garage to open them. "Here's the new anthem from J.J. and the Phantoms." They open the decorated doors that had 'J.J. and the Phantoms' on it and inside the garage was decorated with different streamers and other party decorations. Jasper and Julie stood beside each other at the entrance of the doors, wearing coordinating outfits. They smiled at the crowd that cheered for them.

Jasper wore a music note black and white t-shirt, white ripped jeans with black lines on the sides, a black and white jacket with butterflies on it, and black converse for shoes.

(this is his outfit for the rest of the chapter)

Jasper sits at the piano while Julie stands at her microphone stand that was placed beside the right side of the piano. For this song they planned on Jasper playing piano and Julie just singing. Jasper looked out that the crowd with a nervous smile. He was nervous, but not as nervous as he was the first time he and Julie played in front of everyone at school. He realized he go more confident with each time he played with the band.

When he looked out at the crowd, he noticed Flynn was in front and center of the crowd, smiling proudly at him and Julie, causing him to smile. He also noticed Julie's dad recording them with his video camera for them to put the video on their YouTube channel which made him happy. He appreciated Ray for doing that for them.

"Thanks for coming, everyone." Julie smiled at the crowd. She then glances at Jasper with a smile and nods at him, quietly signaling him that she was ready to start. When she was talking Jasper had got ready to play, his hands lined up on the keys to play the right notes. He smiled back at Julie and nodded, glancing down at the keys as he began to play 'Edge of Great'.

"Running from the past." The crowd cheers a bit for Julie when she starts singing. "Tripping on the now. What is lost can be found it's obvious." While playing, Jasper glances up at Julie with a smile as she sings. "And like a rubber ball we come bouncing back. We all got a second act inside of us."

The drum beat kicks in just before the chorus and the phantoms appear, playing their instruments. The audience cheers loudly and some even got their phones out to film the performance. For the chorus, Jasper sings with Julie, singing into the microphone that was on its stand ."I believe, I believe that we're just one dream away from who we're meant to be. That we're standing on the edge of something big, something crazy. Our best is yet unknown. 'Cause we're standing on the edge of great."

The phantoms harmonize their voices to sing backup vocals while Jasper and Julie sings the lead. "(On the edge of great) Great. (On the edge of great) Great. (On the edge of great)" Then only Julie sings the last part of the chorus. 'Cause we're standing on the edge of great."

Julie picks up her microphone from off its stand, walking over to jam with Reggie while Luke sings the second verse and some of the crowd cheers for him. "We all make mistakes, but they're just stepping stones to take us where we wanna go. It's never straight, no."

Julie moves back to stand at her microphone stand, avoiding eye contact with Jasper when she glances at him with a smile before they sing together. A confused look forms on his face and he glances at the piano, singing the rest of the second verse with Julie and Luke. He wondered why Julie ignored him, did he do something wrong? No, Julie isn't mad or upset with Jasper. She just knows that if she smiled at Jasper or looked at those beautiful eyes of his that she would fall for him even more. So she did her best to ignore him, but it was really hard.

"Sometimes we gotta lean, lean on someone else to get a little help until we find a way."

"I believe, I believe that we're just one dream," Julie walks over to the right side of the crowd, smiling at them as she sings. While playing his bass, Reggie moves to stand by his brother since he had noticed the upset expression on his face when Julie ignored him. He sent Jasper a questioning look to make sure he was okay and Jasper shrugged in response, looking at him with a forced smile. "Away from who we're meant to be. That we're standing on the edge of," Reggie goes back to stand at his microphone stand while Julie moves to stand in front of the piano. "Something big, something crazy our best is yet unknown. That this moment is ours to own."

Julie takes ahold of Flynn's hand, sharing a smile with her. Jasper smiles a bit upon watching his best friend's interaction. He was still confused and upset as to why Julie ignored him. The last that he remembered he and Julie were fine and there wasn't a reason that he knew of for Julie to be upset with him. "'Cause we're standing on the edge of," For the last word of the chorus sonly Jasper and Julie sing. "Great."

"On the edge of great." The phantoms sing the backup vocals once again while Jasper and Julie sing lead. "Great. (On the edge of great) Great. (On the edge of great)"

Julie walks over to the piano, stepping on the part of the bench Jasper wasn't sitting on and carefully climbs on the piano. "'Cause we're standing on the edge of," Jasper watches with a bit of surprise, not expecting her to get on the piano. He hoped that she was careful since he didn't want her to fall off. He shakes his head with a small smile on his face and brings his gaze back to the piano he plays. "Shout, shout." The phantoms join Jasper and Julie for singing the bridge of the song and even some of the crowd sings along at the words 'shout, shout' and 'out, out'. "Come on and let it out, out.

Julie moves to sit on the edge of the piano towards the front of it with her legs dangling off the edge. "Don't gotta hide it. Let your colors blind their eyes, be who you are, no compromise." Jasper stops playing piano, stands up and walks to the garage where he had his electric guitar at. He puts the strap on his shoulder, walking back outside and connecting his guitar to the small amp that was set by the piano. "Shout, shout. Come on and let it out, out.

Julie had noticed what he was doing and was confused since she didn't think he was playing guitar during this song, but she looked back at the crowd and smiled as she sang. She knew about a guitar solo in the song, but she thought Luke was supposed to preform it. Before the party though and while the three best friends were setting things up, Julie kept ignoring Jasper or giving him vague responses. The phantoms had noticed this and so Jasper went home to change, the phantoms had come over to Jasper's house to talk about it and Luke suggested for him to play the solo since that would definitely get Julie's attention.

"What doesn't kill you makes you feel alive." Julie sang, moving to kneel on the middle of the piano as Luke joined her on singing the last word. Jasper glanced at Luke with a nervous expression and Luke nodded, smiling encouragingly at him. Jasper looked down at his electric guitar and took a shaky breath.

At the chorus this time, only Jasper was playing his guitar for the first part of it. "Oh, I believe." Julie looks to her left at Jasper with surprise, watching him walk over to her with a smile on his face as he plays the solo on his electric guitar. The crowd cheers when Jasper plays the solo which made his smile widen and feel more confident. "I believe that we're just one dream," Julie couldn't help herself from locking eyes with Jasper and smiling at him when he stands beside the piano and beside where she was kneeling on it. Jasper smiles widely, happy that Julie was finally not ignoring him. "Away from who we're meant to be." Alex started playing some cymbals during this part of the song, sharing a knowing smile with Luke and Reggie while the three phantoms watched their friends.

Julie couldn't help but grin at Jasper which causes him to grin back at her. "That we're standing on the edge of great." Julie got up, belting out the last word, earning a loud cheer from the crowd. Meanwhile, Jasper turned around as he stopped playing, unplugging his guitar from the amp and walked back to the garage to put the guitar on its stand while the phantoms played their instruments, singing backup vocals.

"Something big, something crazy. Our best is yet unknown." Jasper gets back to sit at the piano, continuing to play with the band and joins them on singing along with Julie. "That this moment is ours to own. 'Cause we're standing on the edge of great."

"Great, on the edge of great." The phantoms sang.

Julie gets off the piano, harmonizing her voice with Jasper's. "On the edge of great."

"Great, on the edge of great." While the phantoms sing, Julie moves to stand by the piano bench Jasper sits on, causing him to glance at her with a smile and she smiles back at him. "On the edge. Woah, oh, oh."

"Standing on the edge of," Just after the phantoms sings with Jasper and Julie, they poof away along with their instruments and equipment, gaining gasps from the crowd. Meanwhile, Julie sits beside Jasper on the piano bench and the two play piano together, Jasper played the left hand while Julie played the right hand. The two teens were close enough to each other that their shoulders and legs touch, but neither one minded being this close to each other. "Running from the past."

jasper and Julie stare into each other eyes as they play the piano and sing, smiling the whole time. Jasper just knew that his face was a bright red color, and he felt like his heart was pounding out of his chest, but he could care less about that. "Tripping on the now." The crowd cheers for them as they sing. "What is lost can be found it's obvious." Jasper and Julie both almost forgot they weren't the only ones there that was until they heard the crowd cheering loudly for them. They quickly looked away from each other at the crowd with shy smiles on their faces.

"Thank you." Jasper said. "We're J.J. and the Phantoms." He grins. "Tell your friends!"

Before Jasper realizes it, it was time for his performance. Flynn had informed the crowd there would be a small intermission while they got thing ready for the last act of the night. The piano was moved back into the garage and a chair and microphone was set in its place. Jasper stood behind the now closed doors of the garage with his acoustic guitar on and he was pacing. Saying that he was nervous was the understatement of the year.

"Hey." He stops pacing, turning in the direction he heard his brother's voice and saw him standing there with a grin on his face. "You ready to kill it?"

"I'm definitely gonna kill the performance as in be terrible." Jasper mumbled, glancing at the closed doors nervously.

Reggie rolls his eyes and smiles at him. "Bro, don't think like that. You were incredible during 'Edge of Great' and you're gonna be even more incredible by yourself." Jasper glances at Reggie with a nervous expression and Reggie went to put his hands on Jasper's shoulders to comfort him, but then frowns and pulls his hands back when he remembered he can't touch him. Shaking his head, Reggie smiles encouragingly at him. "You got this, Jasper. I believe in you. Alex and Luke believe in you. Flynn believes in you and Julie definitely believes in you." Jasper sighs, crossing his arms as he brings his nervous gaze to the floor. "You just have to believe in yourself."

Jasper knew Reggie was right. Wow, he never thought he would think that someone like Reggie would be right about something. But he does believe in himself. Thanks to the phantoms and his best friends, he can say that he believes in himself now. If you'd ask him if he believed in himself, ask that he thought he was good enough last year he would've said no. Jasper nods, looking at Reggie with a thankful smile. "Thank you, Reggie." Reggie smiles, happy that he could help. "You're the best brother I could ever ask for."

Reggie feels tears begin to from in his eyes and his smile widens. "Yeah, well, the same goes to you."

Jasper's smile widens at him and he raises his eyebrows, smiling teasingly at Reggie. "Are you crying?"

"What?" Reggie scoffs, wiping his eyes quickly and crosses his arms, pretending to play it cool. "No. I just..."

"And the closing act of the night is Jasper Peters from J.J. and the Phantom with his new anthem!" Flynn announced from outside the garage and the crowd cheered.

"You-You better go." Reggie stuttered, gesturing for Jasper to leave in hopes that Jasper wouldn't tease him about crying anymore.

Jasper chuckles and nods. "Yeah, okay." He turned around, closing his eyes and took a deep breath before he opened the double doors of the garage. He smiled at the cheering crowd, walking over to sit down on the chair.

When the cheering dies down, he smiles nervously, hating how quiet it was and how everyone stares at him. It was a lot more intimidating being in front of a crowd by yourself. His heart beat was pounding out of his chest, his hands felt sweaty, and his voice sounds shaky when he speaks. "Hi. Um, I'm Jasper Peters."

Jasper smiles a bit, noticing the three phantoms standing in the front of the crowd behind Julie and Flynn. "You got this!"  Luke encouraged and Alex and Reggie gave Jasper a thumbs up while they each smiled at the brunette-haired boy.

Jasper nods to himself, feeling a bit more confident. He turns his attention to the whole crowd, his voice sounding a bit stronger. "And I'll be singing a song I wrote called 'Being Around You'."

"I don't want to be a hero. Don't want to be a billionaire. I know it may sound crazy, but I wouldn't even care." Jasper keeps his gaze on his guitar, too nervous to stare out at the crowd. "'Cause the only thing that matters. The only thing that's true. The only thing I'd wish for is being around you."

He takes a shaky breath before he sings the chorus. "I love to hear your laughter. I love the way you smile." His voice sounds less shaky and nervous the more he sings. "I love you're so creative." He smiles to himself, thinking about when Julie first started decorating her white microphone with different designs. "Never going out of style." He chuckles lightly, daring to look out at the crowd, finding himself looking at Julie, who had been smiling at him this whole time. "I love so much about you. I don't know where to start. 'Cause every time I'm with you, you always win my heart. Being around you."

"Being around you." Jasper hits the hard part of his guitar three times for a drum beat then goes back to playing. "I never know the words to say. The words to make you stay."  This part was based on how nervous he had been lately after he had realized his feelings for Julie. He always didn't know what to say to her that wouldn't make him sound weird or like an idiot. "It wouldn't matter anyway. I always let you slip away." He remembered just the other day when he walked away after Nick showed up to talk with Julie. It always made him feel upset to know that he maybe didn't have a chance since at first he had thought Julie had a crush on Nick. And now that he knows he has a chance with one of his best friends he couldn't be more happy.

"But the only thing that matters." The phantoms smile proudly at him, the three boys happy that Jasper got the courage to sing in front of everyone by himself and that he was doing a great job. "The only thing that's true. The only thing I'd wish for is being around you."

Jasper glances back at his guitar to make sure he's playing the right notes. "I love to hear your laughter. I love the way you smile. I love your so creative." He looks at the crowd, smiling upon seeing they were enjoying his performance. "Never going out of style. I love so much about you. I don't know where to start." Julie could feel her face heat up by the way Jasper was looking at her with adoration and she couldn't help the wide smile that forms on her lips. "And every time I'm with you, you always win my heart. Being around you. Being around you."

"Being around me. I love being around you. Being around me. I love being around you." Jasper looked at the crowd with surprise when they cheered loudly for him  after he was done with the song and he smiled from ear to ear. He was so proud of himself for doing this and knowing that everyone liked his performance just told him that he was good at writing songs and performing.

"Yeah, that's my brother!" Reggie shouted excitedly as he and the other phantoms cheered loudly with the crowd. Jasper grinned at the phantoms and looked at the crowd with a wide smile.

"Thank you all for coming!" Jasper smiles widely at the crowd. "I hope you enjoyed the party and have a good night!"

Chatter filled the air after he said that while everyone started to leave. He picked up the foldable chair and the microphone and its stand to carry them inside. He had to admit it was a bit difficult to carry them both while having his guitar on, but he pretended it looked like it wasn't hard. He put the chair and microphone stand up before he went over to where both his guitar cases was set up. His puts his acoustic guitar in its case and then got his electric guitar and puts it in the case for the electric guitar. He closed them both, glancing to his left when he heard footsteps heading in his directions.

Jasper smiles nervously at her, fiddling with his hands that were folded in front of him. "So, uh, did you like it?"

Julie smiles softly at him, moving to stand only a few inches away from Jasper. Jasper watches her nervously, wondering what she would say. He glances down with wide eyes when she takes a hold of both of his hands with hers. He looks at her with a hopeful glint in his eyes, thinking maybe this meant she felt the same way about him. Julie glances at his lips then back into his eyes, beginning to lean forward. She ignored the way how fast her heart was beating and how she felt the blush appearing on her cheeks. Jasper's heart raced each second he saw her lean forward and he stared at her with wide eyes, frozen in shock. Julie closed her eyes as she kissed Jasper and he kissed her back just before she pulled away. She opened her eyes, looking at him with a shy smile.

"Did that answer your question?" Julie asked, intertwining her hands with Jasper's.

Jasper smiles widely and he chuckles, ignoring the blush creeping up his neck. "Yeah. Yeah, it did."

A/N luke being a great friend hyping up jasper, love that! also i made that outfit by using the website shoplook.io & im kind of proud of it, i like it. i tried making an outfit that matched julie's outfit during edge of great & that's the closest i could come up with. also if any of you watched andi mack before then you will notice some similarities of the ending of this chapter, i tried to do like a parallel thing to the episode jonah sings 'being around you' to andi. but anyway, jasper & julie are so cute, i love them
