OMEGAVERSE

Omegaverse is the world where males can get pregnant and give birth too. In this situation where males and females are further differentiated into α (Alpha), β (Beta) and Ω (Omega), the ability for male to get pregnant is a feature of an Omega.

Male omegas have reproductive organ (womb) inside their rectum and they can pregnant if they have mated with an alpha male or a beta male during their heat.

α [ALPHA]

By nature, alphas have attractive face and figure, intelligent and have traits of rare, charismatic leader. With superiority, there are many alphas holding executive positions in organizations.

β [BETA]

Making up of at least 70% of the population, both their physiques and behavior are no different from a normal human. In a typical marriage between betas, it is highly likely that their child will be a beta too.

Characters: Donghyuck

Ω [OMEGA]

A rare species where males can also get pregnant. While respected for their ability to give birth to alphas, they are considered an inferior species due to their heat. They often can't get high ranking jobs.

Characters: Ten, Taeyong

BETA'S HEAT

Like Alphas, they don't go through heats since they are still dominant over Omegas but they'll go through heat whenever they're near a heated Omega or get affected to anyone who got affected by the Omega's heated scent. (Meaning: It can also be an Alpha in a rut)

PAIRS/MATE

A bond that is only formed between alphas and omegas only which is stronger than those between family, married couples or lovers. Alphas complete this bond by biting the omega's nape during heat sex.

This means an Alpha cannot have a bond with a Beta. They can still have sex but an Alpha cannot mark a Beta. Even though the Alpha will bite the nape of the Beta, the bite mark won't stay and will eventually fade away. Also means that the Alpha can still mate an Omega and the Beta can still mate an Omega.

DIFFERENCE OF BETA-ALPHA AND OMEGA-ALPHA:

1. Betas are less fertile than Omegas, but they can still get impregnate by an Alpha.

2. Omega-Alpha is a common relationship in Omegaverse since Beta and Alpha are both always dominant to Omegas. In some stories, they can have a rivalry. (But Betas are always submissive to Alphas)

3. Betas don't undergo heats. Like Alphas, they can get affected by an Omega's heated scent but more composed than an Alpha, they can control themselves whenever they smell the scent of a heated Omega.

4. An Alpha cannot mark a Beta, unlike Omegas, so they don't need any collars.

ABOUT SCENTS

Everyone has a unique scent. Two cannot have the same scent. Some can have the same base of a scent but can be in different degrees. For example, a strong lemon scent is different to a creamy and soft lemon scent.

For an Alpha's scent, it's more stronger and manly. Examples are woodlands, firewood or the smell of rain.

For a Beta's scent, they lack scent glands but can be subtle--but not as subtle as an omega's.

For an Omega's scent, they have a soft and sweet scents. Examples are the scent of a flower or fruit.

THE IDEA BEING "SCENT CLAIMED"

An alpha can simply bond and claim an omega by biting their neck or nape. In that instance, they're relationship is much stronger than marriage. The bite mark cannot be removed.

An omega can claim an alpha by rubbing their noise against the alpha's neck, that's called Scent claiming. An alpha will have a subtle scent of an omega. But it isn't as strong and permanent as an alpha's bite mark. It is temporary and the scent can go away when the omega is gone.

(Not sure if this is applied to other relationship like ALPHA-BETA and BETA-OMEGA)

LIKE AN OMEGA, A BETA CAN USE BIRTH CONTROLS OR PILLS BEFORE AND AFTER SEX TO AVOID GETTING PREGNANT.

Additional information:

     Some stories with Omega-Beta relationship, Betas can impregnate an Omega, but in some doesn't. It's not a misconception that Betas can't or can impregnate Omegas. It just depends on the author.

     Omegas do nesting. It is an action where omegas collect clothing and things that are owned by the person they like. They put the belongings in their room and surrounds them with it to feel safe and comfort.

The characters' attitude, habits and status are only the product of the author's imagination. Any resemblance found in the story is pure coincidence.
