Sorry y'all, I was on the highway yesterday to visit my grandparents in Kentucky. They live in the little town where grace was hiding out btw. So I couldn't post my chapter, but I had to do it a day late. So here you guys go.

We all eat lunch and spend time together as a family. Jordyn goes home and we leave tonight to go back to New York after lunch. I am bringing ash, Casey, Tyler and Brooke.

I walk up to the Renaissance hotel. I get us two rooms. "Ash you can stay with me. You three will have the room beside us" I tell them in the elevator. I am putting two girls and a boy in a room together but I know they can't do anything since I will be in the room right beside them.

We get to the 5th floor and go to our rooms. Both rooms have two queen beds. "Alice should have given you your pay for working however long you have. You will also get paid for helping work at Herondale designs. Now, I'm going to take ash shopping for the afternoon. You guys can go do whatever. Here's your phone's and here's my phone number" I tell three three servants who came with me. I set their three phones Alice has held in her office on the dresser in their room. I write my phone number on a notepad the hotel puts in their room and set it next to their phones. I look to ash. "Are you ready to go shopping" I ask him. "Yeah" he says.

We leave the hotel. "Do you want to go get stuff for your bed first? We can still get you some other clothes and things. I just know you probably want more color to your room" I ask him. "Yes please" he says. We go to a place that sells bedding and ash picks out a blue and white plaid comforter.

I take ash different places and get him a lot of clothes and things for his new room. We go by Herondale designs before it closes. Tessa is here. She's the only one though. "Hey Tessa" I say. "Hey clary, whos this" she asks. "This is ash, Jonathan's long lost son" I tell her. "Oh cool. I'm about to close up. Logan is in the back. It was a half day for him" she says. "Cool. Do you guys want to come have dinner with us" I ask. "Sure. Did anyone else come with you two" she asks. "I brought three servants with me to help out over here since mom said you guys need help. Mom, Luke and Carson came back too" I tell her. "I'll text you where we can meet up for dinner" she says. "Okay" I say.

My phone starts ringing. It's a number I don't know. I hit answer. "Hello" I ask. "Hi Queen Clary, it's casey. When do you want us back at the hotel" she asks. "It's four o'clock now. Tessa when do you think we should go get dinner" I ask. "Let's just say six and I will text you where to meet when I talk to your mom" she says. "Be back at the hotel in an hour and a half or so. We will go to dinner with the carstairs and maybe my parents" I tell casey. "Alright. See you then" she says. "Okay, call me if you need me" I tell her. "Alright. Bye" she says and hangs up. "I'm going to go say hi to Logan and then we can leave" I tell ash. "Okay" he says.

I go to he back and see Logan in the break room. He is playing with a race track with 2 cars. "Hey Logan" I tell him. He looks at me and his face lights up. "Hi Clary!" "What are you doing" I ask. "Playing race cars." "I heard you are going to have another little brother or sister. Are you excited?" "I guess" he says. "I was excited to find out I going to be a big sister" I tell him. "You're not a big sister." "Yes I am. Carson is my little brother and Jonathan is my big brother." "Oh, so I will have another Emily" he asks. "Maybe" I answer.

"I'm going to dinner with you later" I tell Logan. "You are?" "Yep, I'm bringing ash and three other people with me too." "Did Grace come too?" "No she didn't come. She has to go to school on Monday." "Oh, who's ash" he asks. "Jonathan's long lost son. You will meet him tonight" I tell Logan. "Okay" Logan says. "I'm going to leave. I'll see you tonight Lo" I tell him. "Bye clary" he says.

I go out to the front where I see ash looking around and Tessa is doing something on the computer. "You ready to go ash" I ask him. "Yeah, who made all of these clothes" he asks. "I designed them but we have someone who sews them together and makes them" I tell him. "That's cool" he says. "Bye tessa. Just text me later" I say and Ash and I leave the store.

"What do Nana and Papa do?" "Mom works here at the store and Luke, your papa, owns a bookstore. I will show it to you eventually. Its probably closed right now or Maya is working it." "That's cool. I never thought of you being a designer. Janus described you of being the more artistic type" Ash says as we walk down the side walk. "I do that too but designing and having my own clothing line is more of a side job. I do love to draw and paint but I only do that for myself. I have my own art room at the castle and everything but nobody has seen the inside of it but me." "Thank you for all of this stuff aunt clary" Ash thanks me. "Of course Ash. When Olivia is finished sewing the clothes I told her to make for you, you will have your own clothes too before I send the designs off to be made for the store before they will be sold" I tell him. "That sounds cool" he says.

We keep walking towards the hotel when suddenly ash stops. "Ash" I ask. He looks off in the distance glaring. I look where he is and see someone who looks exactly like Jace. But Jace is in idris. Right? He motions us over.

Ash and I walk over. "Come here clary, I have missed you" Jace says. "We have only been gone for 3 and a half hours" I tell him. "But it is too long for me" he says. I take a step forward and Ash puts a hand out in front of me, stopping me. "Don't. Its not who you think it is" he tells me making me confused. "What do you want Janus" Ash asks. That explains a lot. Jace is okay with me being away from him for a short while. "I just want a chance to see my clary again. Is that so wrong" Janus asks. "Its not if that was all your intentions were. What is it you really want" Ash asks. "You know me too well ash. Why did you leave" Janus asks. "I couldn't stay any longer. I was not happy at that house where you would disappear. I wanted something nobody in faerie or you would ever give me. I did not want someone to leave so that is why I left Janus. Now go back to faerie" Ash tells Janus. "Come on Ash, you can't really want me to leave" Janus says. "Go" Ash commands. "Fine, I will go, but I want clary" Janus says. "Not a chance. Aunt Clary is staying with me" Ash says. "You want her? You will have to kill me first. I am pretty sure my mother does not want to hear the news of me dead. And by your hands nonetheless." Janus seems to think for a few minutes. "Fine" Janus says and walks away.

"Why did you use the seelie queen as your way out" I ask. "Janus has grown in her favor. He grew high in her kingdom while I was stuck in a house on the cliff. He would fall greatly if he killed me and she found out" ash explains. "If he is anything like Jace, falling down in your ranks is not an easy thing to live with and it would crush him. But why does she like Janus so much" I ask ash. "I wish I knew, I don't want you going anywhere I can't protect you. I know you are strong but Janus is smarter than people give him credit for. He trained me and taught me how to fight when Sebastian almost gave up on me. I don't trust him, especially since he knows you are out here in New York" ash says. He makes a point. He is the only one who knows Janus and what he is capable of. Ash is worth something to Janus and so am I. "We will protect each other while here in New York. We are both worth something to him. When we eventually go back home we will be safer. I won't tell jace now, I don't want to worry him, I will tell him when we get back to idris" I tell ash. He nods.

Ash and I walk back to the hotel. The other servants have not come back yet. They still have some time before I told them to be back. "Thank you ash" I say to him. "For what" ash asks looking confused. "For defending me like that. I was caught off guard and you saved me from Janus. He probably would have brought me somewhere no one would be able to find me." "You are welcome. Just keep in mind that Janus does not give up easily" Ash tells me.  "I will keep that in mind."

"I'm kinda tired" he says. "Take a nap, I will wake you up in time to go to dinner" I tell him. "Okay." I close the curtains. I sit on the bed and play on my phone while he takes a nap for a little while. I would draw in my sketch book but it's dark in here right now. The other three servants get here a little while later and they decide to rest too.

At 5:15 Tessa calls me. "Hey" I say answering the phone. "Hey clary, so your parents declined meeting with us saying they wanted a quiet night with carson. Which I understand. So I asked Alec and he, Magnus, Max and Rafe are going to come instead. Do you guys want to meet at DeStephanos" Tessa asks. "Yeah that's fine. We can take the subway over and meet you guys over there. Who is going to do reservations" I ask. "I will call. What time do you want to meet there" she asks. "Let's do 7:30 to give us some time since we have to walk all the way to the subway and ride over to the station closest to the restaurant and then walk all the way there" I tell her. "Alright, I will call the restaurant and we will see you guys soon" she says. "Okay bye Tessa" I say. "Bye Clary" she says and hangs up.

"We have 45 minutes until we need to be at the restaurant. Are all of you ready" I ask. "Yeah" Brooke says. "Alright, we are going to take the subway some of the way there. I'm going to wake Ash up and we can go" I tell them.

"Mrs. Clary" Tyler asks. "Yes Tyler?" "Who is he?" I crack the door to my room. "You guys know about Jonathan's past as Sebastian right" I ask. "Yes" casey says. "Well apparently while he was Sebastian he had a fling with the seelie Queen. Ash is a result of that. I know what you're thinking but it's not like that. Ash was taken from his mother at a young age by the unseelie king and at the age of 13 ash ran away from him to Thule. There he met Sebastian of Thule who by the sound of it wasn't good to him either. Ash ran back to his mother but his mother, the seelie Queen, made him stay at a house away from her on a cliff. Ash ran to Idris and jace and I decided to give Ash a chance since nobody really raised him and he seems like a good kid who just wants a family and home" I tell them. "What about the princess" Tyler asks. "They love each other. Grace thinks ash is awesome and loves him" I tell them.

"Another thing. While we are here in New York people wouldn't understand why you three are calling me Queen Clary. And although I am a queen and like being called it, but people won't understand since there is no Queen Clary in the mundane world. So therefore while we are here you three will call me Mrs Clary or just Clary" I tell them. "Okay" Brooke says.

I go in my room and see Ash still fast asleep. Poor ash is jet lagged. "Ash, you need to get up" I say. His eyes open and he looks at me. "We've got a little ways to walk to the stop. We are taking the subway some of the way" I tell them all.

Ash puts his shoes on and gets ready to go and when he is ready to go we leave the hotel and head to the subway station. "Did you have a good nap" I ask ash as we walk down the sidewalk. "Yes, I feel better now" he says. "Good" I say.

I pay for a subway card for the next few days and we get on the train. "I've never been on a subway train" casey says. "Me neither" Tyler adds. "I've taken the subway growing up. It's nothing special" I say.

"Where are we going to eat" brooke asks. "DeStephanos. It's a steakhouse" I answer. "Have you been there" she asks. "Once, I was on a date with Jace." "So is this a special place for you two" Tyler asks. "No, we just went on a date here, nothing special. Our favorite special place is inside the Institute" I tell them.

When the train stops we get off and walk to the restaurant. Alec, Magnus, rafe and max are here already waiting outside for us. "Biscuit" Magnus says. "Magnus" I say back. I give him a hug. "Aunt Clary" max says excited. He reaches out and Alec passes him to me. "You've met or seen casey, Tyler and Brooke at the castle" I tell them. "Yeah, whos that" Alec asks talking about ash. "This is ash. Jonathan's long lost son" I tell them. The nods in understanding that I don't want to go into detail right now about him. "Did uncle jace come too aunt clary" max asks. "No, he stayed in Idris with Grace and Braxton" I tell the little boy.

The carstairs and kit walk over. We go inside and get a long table to fit all of us. "How do you like having a family, kit" I ask. "It's... different. I like it" kit admits. "I'm glad. You are always welcome at the castle with me and jace if you want to come" I tell him. "Thanks" he says.

"What do you think of New York Ash" Tessa asks. "Its a lot bigger than I thought it was" Ash admits. "Yeah it is, you've got to know where you're going so you don't get lost" Alec says. "Its definitely changed a lot from when I was growing up" Tessa tells us. "You grew up here" I ask. "Yes, until I was sixteen, then I moved to London" she tells us. "How long ago was that" Casey asks. I see tyler elbow her. "That was many years ago Casey, I will tell you though that it was long before you think, but not too long" Tessa says. I know Magnus has been friends with Tessa and Jem for a long time. He knows how old she is.

"I'm hungry momma" Logan says a little
while after we order. "It will be here in a little bit lo" Tessa says.

"Have you met Grace and Braton, Kit" I ask. I don't know if he has or not. "I have seen them, but I have not spoke to them" Kit says. "Grace is a daddys girl. Always has been" Alec says. "I can tell by the way she talks about uncle jace" ash says. "Have you talked to Grace a lot" Magnus asks. "Yeah, you can say that" ash says. "What do you mean" jem asks. "Well, I would sneak my way to the castle and up to her room at the tower. I would wake her up and we would talk and get a long" ash explains.

We all have a good time at dinner before going our separate ways. When I get back to the hotel I sit in the bed and turn on the tv. I see the New York Red Bull's are playing and I turn the game on. "Hey mrs Clary, who was- You watch soccer" Tyler asks. "Yeah I watch soccer. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that I got any interest in sports" I tell him. "Why the sudden interest" he asks. "Our senior year Isabelle wanted to go to sports games just to socialize. She wanted to bring the rest of us along and I didn't have any desire to go really. I started to get bored because on the weekends Isabelle would be gone and Simon would go with her. When it got closer to soccer season I convinced jace to try out for the team. He made it and I went to the games when Isabelle did. I had a reason to go and eventually got into the game when I had a messy, dirty soccer playing boyfriend. He hasn't played in years though" I tell Tyler. "Did he like it" Tyler asks.

"Jace loved it, I only wish he could have played more than one season. What is it you were going to ask me before" I ask. "Oh yeah, who is that little boy that was with Alec and Magnus? He only spoke Spanish?" "Rafael. They adopted him from Argentina. I noticed how you were able to talk to him. What did you think" I ask. "My uncle lives in Spain so I know plenty of Spanish. He said he goes by rafe, he talked about Magnus and his he thinks he's very cool. He said he's learning English but it's hard for him but he's trying. He likes to be independent" Tyler tells me of his and Rafael's conversation. "I'm sure he does. Alec told me about how much he has always liked Magnus even before he met him" I say.

I watch tv while ash seems to try and figure out his new phone. When the game is over I look at ash. "Can I Then the lights out? You can still stay on your phone if you want but I'm going to bed" I ask him. "That's fine" he says and I turn the light out and crack the door between ours and the servants. I lie down and close my eyes and fall asleep.
