He has to wake up.

He just has to.

I'm sitting next to Wally he's been in a coma for a week. The doctor says that because the brain is such a delicate organ his super healing might never heal it right. If he wakes up he'll probably have brain damage.

If he wakes up.

Batman walks in "You need to go get some sleep you haven't left his side since he got here... We're worried, I'm worried" He comes over and puts his hand on my shoulder "I'll watch him for you go get some sleep." I shake my head furiously taking his hand.

"I-I can't leave him. I'm his best friend I'm going to be here when he wakes up!!!" Batman gives me a sad look

"If he wakes up I will come get you... Please we are worried about you?" I look at my mentors face... My father's face. I can see how concerned he is but I need to stay with Wally.

"Just give me one more day. If he's not awake by this time tomorrow than I'll go get some sleep." Batman sighs

"You said that two days ago... Fine stay with him, I know how much he means to you." I get a shiver up my spine at this.

Could he know?

Does he know?

How much I love him.

M'gann comes in a minute later with a bowl of oatmeal "He's not awake yet M'gann he can't eat anything." She sighs walking in

"So you're still not eating than?" She sets the bowl down. "At least try to eat a little we're worried about you Robin" I look at the bowl and then to her.

"Alright I'll try" I give her a smile "You should be worried about Wally not me. I'm fine" She shakes her head

"Robin you are NOT fine I can sense the torment you are in... Please at least try to eat. Please?" I nod and she walks out.

I pick up the bowl and have one, two... Five bites before giving up. I sigh and put the bowl down.

Conner comes in half an hour later.

"Eat." Is all he says and I shake my head.

"Already did" I smile at him so he'll leave.

"I'm not leaving till you do." I scowl at this and pick up the bowl and start eating. I get half way through and I'm about to ask him to leave when he says again

"Eat!" With a little more force than last time. So I keep eating until the bowl is empty. Superboy takes the bowl and smiles.

"You need to keep eating I'll be back for dinner." I sigh so I'm going to have to eat three meals a day again? I was gonna blow up like a balloon!!!

I sigh and take Wally's hand "You have to wake up Wally... You're my best friend. You're the one who protected me from Joker when he captured me when I was eight. You're the one who showed me the world still has light and happiness in it without my parents. You're the one who saw through my happy little facade to see the real me... That I was hurting and you helped me heal... " I start tearing up. He starts moving at my words. Maybe he'll wake up if I keep going.

"You're the one who protected me from myself when I wanted so badly to hurt myself. You're the one who saved me from myself and from the darkness of Gotham." He looks so close to waking up right now.

"You're the one I love... With all my heart, The one I will always love" He stirs fully and gives me a smile.

"I love you too Baby Bird" I cry and pull him into a hug. He pushes back like he's uncomfortable

"I'm sorry are you in... Mmph!!!" He kissed me hard I hold him close and kiss him back tears running down my face.

We pull back and I say "I didn't know you felt that way... I thought you would have rejected me... "Tears still running down my face.

"I felt the same way... I was so scared of losing you Birdy I never made a move. I never imagined you felt the same way... I love you Baby Bird"

I love you Kid Cutie."
