Scene 1

A young girl (Natalia) is singing 'Insy Winsy Spider' as she contently watches a Black Widow spider crawl across the window frame. It's raining outside, we hear a ripple of thunder. Her eyes flick upwards as men in suits, behind her led by her father enter the room. There's an air of restrained mystery. The men have come for Natalia.

Natalia, VO: Insy Winsy Spider climbed up the water spout.

The singing continues as young Natalia walks through the silver halls of an institution. She's being led by the men in black suits. For a second the world slows as she catches the attention of a young boy passing by (Alexi Shostakov). The moment breaks when she's pushed into line, the smallest of the girls there.

Natalia, VO: Down came the rain and washed poor Insy out.

A tight-knit woman walks back and forth, her voice echoing through the hall. The girls are trained to fight, several times Natalia is pushed to the ground painfully. The duo begin sparring again and instead of falling to the ground or being beaten, Natalia blocks the punch, renewed vigour in her eyes.

Beat.

Trainer: Good. Again.

The girls begin sparring again, faster, harder, Natalia somehow manages to keep up with the other girl whose clearly superior. She begins to fight the other girls, becoming better. Eventually, gun in hand, she towers over her opponent.

Trainer: Wait.

Natalia doesn't wait, she pulls the trigger.

To Be Decided:
Language
-Should the Nursery rhyme be in English or Russian, is there a Russian version of Insy Winsy Spider?
-Should commands from the trainers be in English or Russian? In Age of Ultron they're English but that could possibly be because Natasha sees herself as English-speaking and therefore her memories are like so? Then again, I intend for this scene to be a past opening (a bit like Civil War which opened with non-English speaking, Russian? German?)
