Melody's POV

"Melody!" Ash said surprised.

"If it isn't Ash Ketchum the chosen one," I smirked.

"The chosen one," Plumeria murmured. "So this boy is a hero huh." She then grabs me a holds me on the window sill. "You move she drops." I start panicking and try to scream but she puts a cloth in my mouth.

Ash just smirks, is he still an idiot? "Lapras," he yelled. In a reflex motion Plumeria pushed me off and I started screaming as the rag fell out of my mouth. I closed my eyes bracing for impact but it didn't hurt that much. It was kind of cold so I opened my eyes and I realized I was slowly sliding down an ice slide.

At the end there was a Lapras that I recognized as the one Ash and his friends travelled through the Orange Islands on. "Thanks Lapras," I say and get up.

I was expecting a nice reply but I got a a, "laaaa." I look up and there was a thick purple smog coming out of the hotel room. Plumeria came flying out holding on her Crobat. Where's Ash? Pikachu came flying out and soon followed Greninja with frubbles in its mouth.

They both realized Ash wasn't behind them on the ice. I could tell the smog was thinning out and so did Greninja. He stealthily got back up and was carrying Ash's limp body in his arms...

Lillie's POV

"Please wake up," I whisper twirling his raven hair with my fingers. I didn't even know Pokémon Centers had extra space for people. I hear the door open and I look over.

"You know it's been about 12 hours," the auburn haired girl said as she walked in. "Aren't you hungry or want to move or something like that?"

"No I'm fine," I reply quietly. "I just want him to wake up."

"He always has had to be the hero," Melody said while sitting down across the room in a chair.

"Why can't he just be a regular guy!" I yell out in frustration. "He's always risking his life for others and never thinks about what could happen or the people who care about him!"

"Sounds like you care about him a lot," She smirked.

"I guess I do," I mumble. I didn't say that out loud right? I look up and see the look on her face, I blush so red it might be lighting up the room even more.

"You've already fallen in love with him," Melody laughed. I don't think you guys have known each other for long."

"No we haven't but how did you know?" I asked confused by how much this girl knows.

"Because I saw on the news that he won his first grand trial not too long ago," She cleared up. "And Ash has an effect that can get a girl to fall for him instantly."

"Well I fell because of him instantly," I laughed at when met. "I'm guessing you fell for him at some point."

"I did but it was more just to tick off his friend Misty," She replied shrugging. I decide not to bring up the betrayal because I'm tired. "But I wasn't close to doing what you are right now after he saved the world."

"Do you think it's a crush or do I love him?" I asked.

She looked up for a moment, "Only you can figure that out but I think I know." Before I could speak she left.

I felt movement and Ash's eyes slowly opened. "Hey Lillie," he said weakly.

"How are you feeling?" I asked still playing with his hair.

"Ready to go win my first trial here," He said giving a small smile. "How long have you been here playing with my hair?"

"About 12 hours," I replied blushing. "Why do you always have to put yourself in danger?"

"I feel like it's my duty," He closed his eyes and sighed. "And do people always need a reason to help?" I guess I was kind of selfish to think there always has to be a reason to help.

"Can you try not to hurt yourself at least?" I asked.

"Just for you," He replied putting his hand over the one I was resting on the bed. We looked into each other's eyes for the second time in this island. I want to-

"Ash you're up!" Bonnie exclaimed and jumped onto the bed carefully but not really.

"Yep good as new," he laughed.

"Not really," I corrected giggling. "Bonnie is Melody still around?"

"No she said she has some business to take care of," Bonnie answered.

"I don't know why Plumeria would target Melody," Ash thought out loud.

"Maybe she's hiding something," I said. She probably isn't but I've learned recently that Alola isn't as peaceful as we thought.

"I don't know," Ash said.

Tapu Fini POV

I finally see what I was told is Ash's house. "Hey," I said to Z2 as he was the only one I know.

"His name is Blobby now," A Charizard came over laughing.

"Really?" I smirked at the legendary Pokémon.

"Whatever," Blobby said. "Why are you here?"

"I came looking for Greninja," I said looking around. "Where is he?"

"There was a problem in HeaHea city involving Team Skull," Meowth said coming from inside. "Ash was badly poisoned and Greninja and Pikachu are recovering too."

"Of course Tapu Lele didn't do her job," I said angrily. Ash must be a pretty good person to risk his life for others. "We'll see you later then." I flew off quickly not allowing them to question my Tapu Lele statement. I turned so I was headed towards...Akala island.

Lillie's POV

"If I can be dragged to a mall I can be dragged towards my next trial," Ash said mad we are taking him to the mall. Bonnie and I were both holding one of his hands sprinting because he was struggling to keep up.

"We're going to find more information for you two," I said.

"I'm sure that's all we're going to do," Ash rolled his eyes. I gave him a stern look and he stopped complaining. Pikachu was laughing from my shoulder while Zorua was on my other one and Pichu was running with us.

"We'll go to the information hub first," I said and we slowly walked into the mall. I felt the warmth leave my hand and Ash went to the trial board.

"Brooklet Hill is our next stop," Ash announced pointing to a blue poster. "It's a water type trial."

"Pikachu should be able to fly through it then," I said petting behind his ear.

Ash started laughing, "I just imagined Pikachu flying." Pikachu face palmed and fell off my shoulder.

"Rua," Zorua laughed as I picked up the mouse.

"There's a festival here," Bonnie said excitedly. "We can probably go do Ash's trial first."

"I have lots of experience with water Pokémon so the trial will be easy," Ash said arrogantly.

"Speaking of your water types," I started. "Meowth received one from a certain police force."

"Squirtle," Ash said happily. "It will be nice to see my coolest Pokémon again."

Pikachu shot a thunderbolt and Zorua shot a shadow ball nailing two direct hits on Ash's head. Part of me what's to make sure he's alright but the other part of me wanted to, "haha good job." I hi-fived the two. I helped Ash back up and brushed the soot off his jacket.

"And because of that comment we're going shopping," I say and Ash sighs.

We start walking towards the PokeMart store because we need more supplies. "Look there's a fishing rod sale," Bonnie says as we enter the store. "Can we please get some?"

I look at Ash and he nods. "I want the yellow one," Bonnie stated and grabbed it from the holder. Ash took an orange one and then motioned at me to grab one.

"I don't need one," I said. Ash gave me the look of stop worrying. I smile and pick a whitish grey one.

We take them to the counter where Bonnie already rung hers in. Ash handed ours to the worker. "The sun rod and the moon rod, interesting." He said smirking at us.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"There's a local legend that the sun and the moon represent Alola. Both of them stay together forever and work together to sustain Earth," He explained. "A part that I added is that they work together to lead everyone during the day and night."

"That's why it's funny these two love pidgeys picked them by accident," Bonnie teased. I saw Ash's cheeks redden and I turned away because mine were probably the same.

"Bonnie stop it," I whined. The worker laughed and gave us a knowing look. Ash scanned his Pokédex to pay for the rods and other odd things I picked up for our journey.

"Are we going to stay here or leave before supper?" Ash asked me. He wants me to pick, that's new.

"You could probably use some rest and if we leave early tomorrow we can make it there by lunch," I say and we walk back to the Pokémon Center.

"I'm going to do some training," Ash says as we get back.

"Can I help you?" I ask.

"Of course," Ash said with his goofy smile. Based on Bonnie's evil smile I'm going to be hearing about this later.

"My goal is to get Oshawott to evolve," Ash said letting him out. "A battle should work."

"Pikachu I choose you," I say giggling as he jumps into the battle. I wanted to pick Zorua but I think Pikachu will help more. Zorua transformed into a referee and initiated the start of the battle.

"Pikachu thunderbolt,"I say sticking my arm out. This is actually kind of fun.

"Use your scalchop to defend," Ash said but I don't know what that means. Oshawott grabbed the shell from his stomach and deflected part of the thunderbolt but was still shocked. "You good bud?" Oshawott nodded and got up.

"Quick attack," Pikachu reacted instantly and was like a bullet as he ran at Oshawott.

"Aqua Jet head on," Ash commands. Oshawott shrouded himself in water and hovered over the ground. The two Pokémon met and both of them were knocked back still standing.

"Iron tail," I say keeping on the offensive. Pikachu's tail hardened into steel and he jumped in the air. Oshawott looked up and glowed bright. I covered my eyes and when the light dies down a taller otter was there.

New Oshawott was a little bit taller and was in a stalemate with Pikachu. He was holding two blades that were shining bright blue into an x that was holding Pikachu's tail from hitting him. They end up back where the started, both of them panting.

I take out my Pokédex and scan the new Pokémon. "Dewott the discipline Pokemon. Strict training is how it learns its flowing double-scalchop technique. As a result of strict training, each Dewott learns different forms for using the scalchops." I read from the device. Dewott was slicing the air with his new scalchops.

"Awesome," Ash said and fist bumped his newly evolved Dewott.

"It's not over yet Ash," I smirked with Pikachu giving a cheer of approval.

"Like I would lose to a new trainer," He said arrogantly. I rolled my eyes as did Pikachu.

"Electro ball for the win," I cheered.

"Defend with razor shell," Ash ordered. Pikachu jumped and flipped throwing the ball of electricity towards Dewott. Dewott went to grab his scalchop from his stomach but forgot they were on his sides now.

A look of terror came on his and Ash's face as the electro ball nailed him. "We won," I cheered and hugged Pikachu. Ash returned Dewott with thanks and came over. "Looks like the Pokémon master Ash Ketchum lost to a girl." I teased.

"Looks like a certain girl is a pretty good battler," He said sighing.

"Cmon don't be sad," I continued to tease him. "We can battle again later."

"And I'll win," he said back to his usual self.

"Probably not but good enthusiasm," I laughed while Zorua took his hat and ran.

"Ash you don't look so good," Bonnie said as she walked over.

He sighed and glared at me because I couldn't stop laughing at his childish reaction. "Did I miss something?" She asked.

Gladion's POV

My mom said she has some good news for me. Hopefully she found Lillie but she's been busy in her office so probably not. I knock a few times and Ms.Wicke opened the door for me.

"If it isn't my wonderful son," Lusamine said coming over and hugging me. I don't like how this is going. "I have wonderful news."

"Life really is wonderful right now isn't it," I said sarcastically. "Lillie is missing, Team Skull is becoming a more violent threat and we are getting an Alola League."

"What's so bad about the new league?" My Mom asked.

"I don't know why we need more ways to connect us with the other regions," I said simply.

"But it will be exciting for us Alolans who have never got much of a taste of competition," she argued and ended the discussion there.

"I'm sending you to Sinnoh." What! Why would she do that? "I know your probably thinking I'm crazy but it's important."

"What can be more important than having me here looking for Lillie?" I argue getting mad at her.

"Professor Kukui contacted the Sinnoh Festival committee and they are going to send the winner here," She said happily.

"You didn't," I sighed.

"She did," Ms.Wocke said giving me an I'm sorry smile.

"My boy is going to Sinnoh for the grand festival and will bring the winner home," She said giggling at my despair.

"Moooooommm."

It's about to get more and more exciting as we get closer to the end of the team Skull arc. Especially these next few chapters...
