BLITZ'S POV:

Eggman:........THE EGG SCARAB!!!

The giant metal bug had a giant spikey ball being rolled with it's hind legs. The front legs moving the bug along.

Eggman: Let's see how you handle THIS!

He began moving the giant insectoid mech.......or is it something else? It can't be an insect since it only has four legs so-

Blaze: BLITZ, WATCH OUT!!

I was immediately kicked outta my thoughts as Robotnik nearly steamrolled me with the giant ball of spikes. Fortunately I had dashed away from him in time to prevent such a thing from happening. Cream and Cheese were watching the scene, cheering Blaze and I on.

Cream: Go Blitz! Go Blaze!

Cheese: Chao Chao!!

I eventually caught a glimpse of the spikes on the ball Robotnik was rolling around retract for a set amount of time. I then calculated how long It'd stay that way as I kept avoiding the Scarab.

Blitz: One.

The spikes hadn't reappeared.

Blitz: Two.

Not yet.

Blaze: What are you counting for?

Blitz: Three.

Still hasn't reappeared.

Blitz: Four-

The spikes jumped back out of the ball. I ran next to Blaze with Robotnik and the Scarab behind us.

Blitz: Blaze! When the spikes on the Scarab's ball retract, I want you to kick it within four seconds of it retracting, got it?

Blaze: What're you talking abou- ooooohhhh. Now I know why you were counting. Got it.

Blitz: Let's do this.

We both kept running until the spikes retracted once more.

Blitz: Blaze, NOW!

Blaze: On it!

Blaze charged towards the ball and gave it a powerful kick in just two seconds, giving her a chance to kick once more.

Blitz: Quick! Back away!

Blaze jumped away just in time to NOT get impaled.

Eggman: Ha! You can't hope to damage my Egg Scarab! It's unstoppable!

That's what they always say. Robotnik then rolled the giant ball away from his Scarab as it came tumbling towards us as the Scarab turned around to grab it once it comes back to him (Note that they're fighting in circles for those who haven't played Sonic Rush) I then got an idea.

Blitz: Blaze, you and I will force the ball to roll the opposite direction when the spikes retract, forcing the ball to tumble towards the Egg Scarab's cockpit, therefore damaging the mech entirely.

Blaze nodded as the ball rolled towards us, spikes retracted. Blaze and I prepped our strongest punch/kick.

Blitz/Blaze: HYAAA!!!

Blaze kicked while I punched the ball as it charged towards our target. It slammed right into the back of the mech as the ball went flying away from where we were as the Scarab was upside down. Unfortunately.....

Eggman: Grrrr! You really think I only brought ONE ball? OHOHOHO!!! You're sadly mistaken!

Suddenly, he flipped the Scarab back into position and out the back of the mech, another ball launched out.

Blitz: Ahhhhh crap.

Blaze: You said it.

Cream and Cheese: Oh no!/Chao!

Robotnik then made the Scarab fly up, carrying the ball with him to the center of the chamber, and began launching the ball towards us. We dodged it as it exploded.

Blitz: SHOOT! They're bombs, too!

Blaze: As if I didn't notice!

Eggman: Get ready to be schooled!

Robotnik continued raining the giant bombs down on us as Blaze and I narrowly, and nimbly dodged each one.

Blitz: Hmph. As if a bunch of bombs will stop me, Doctor. You know me better than that.

Robotnik flew back down with another ball at the ready.

Eggman: Come here!

The chase was back on as the ball Robotnik's Scarab was rolling kept retracting and bringing back out it's spikes. With every time they retracted, either I punched or Blaze kicked. Eventually he flew back up and once again attempted to throw the seemingly endless barrage of bombs.

Blitz: Blaze, I have an idea!

Blaze looked over at me as we kept avoiding the deadly, flying, oversized bombs being tossed at us.

Blaze: What?

Blitz: I'm gonna throw you at Robotnik. If timed correctly, you should be able to jump onto and off of one of the bombs midair, jump over the Scarab and gain the opportunity to deal some serious damage.

Blaze: Got it! Just tell me when.

We kept avoiding the many bombs as we stayed close to each other, with me searching for the perfect timing.

Blitz: Wait for it.....

We continuously dodged each bomb as I kept looking.

Blitz: Waiiit for iiit......

As we continually dodge and avoid each bomb, I had finally found an opening.

Blitz: NOW!!

With Blaze next to me, I grab her by the arms and spin around rapidly.

Eggman: What're you doing? Some little dance with your girl?

Blitz: For the hundredth time.....

Blaze: We!

Blitz: Are!

Blaze: Not!

I threw Blaze with all my might as she jumped into one of the bombs in midair, jumped off, landed on the back of the Scarab and gave a powerful kick as I punched the bomb back to Robotnik.

Blitz/Blaze: TOGETHER!!!!

The bomb exploded as the Scarab crashed and Blaze landed safely onto the ground.

Blaze: Hmph. Serves you right.

Suddenly the Scarab got back up, damaged, but albeit still intact.

Eggman: I wasn't expecting that.......but I expected not to expect it so it doesn't count.

(A/n: heheh....References.)

Blitz: Ugh. You never change, do you Doctor?

Eggman: Not a chance!

He said as he once again charged at me with the ball rolling in font of him. I then noticed Blaze right behind him as I smirked.

Blitz: All I gotta say is. Have a nice flight.

Eggman: Huh?

Blaze: Give me back....

Blaze began to charge up a very powerful kick directed at the Scarab's weak spot as she then released all the energy in her kick.

Blaze: THE SOL EMERALDS!!!

As she hit the Scarab, it blew up and sent Robotnik flying.....again......through the roof, quite literally.

Eggman: LOOKS LIKE ROBOTNIK'S BLASTING OFF AGAIIIIiiinnn..... *Blinnnnng*

As Blaze landed from her powerful kick, another Sol Emerald fell into her hand.

Blaze: Three down. Four to go.

Blitz: Wait, three?

She then pulled out two more Sol Emeralds. Each with a different color.

Blaze: The first one from Carnival City, the Second from the Leaf Storm zone, and the third from just now.

Blitz: Oh. Ok then.

Suddenly the two heard cheering from Cream and Cheese.

Cream: That was amazing, Blaze! You too Blitz!

Cheese: *happy Chao noises*

Blaze: Oh. Ummm.......thanks, I guess.

I looked towards Blaze and saw a faint smile on her face. I didn't notice before but it was rather........ enlightening to look at. Wait, what am I thinking!? Shut up you super intelligent genius brain!!!

Blitz: Alright, judging by the trajectory of Robotnik's little flight, he should've landed neaaarrr........

I immediately winced at the thought of where he went.

Blitz: Oh no.

Blaze: What?

Blitz: Ugh. Of all places, you kicked him towards the Water Palace zone!?

Blaze: What's wrong about tha- Waiiit. Do you not like water?

Blitz: "Not like" would be an understatement. I DESPISE getting myself wet.

Blaze: Wow.......just........wow

Blaze began walking the wrong direction.

Blitz: Hey! You're going the wrong way! It's this way!

I point to the opposite direction she's walking as she walks in that very direction with an unamused face.

Blitz: By the Master Emerald, I am not gonna live this down, am I?

Then me, Blaze, Cream, and Cheese began trekking towards out next, and probably most hated by yours truly, destination.
