"Christine, how come I'm only allowed to use my powers when you and Jeremy work in conjunction?" Michael asked innocently, his rainbow cape flowing behind him as he followed one of his mentors.

"Oh, well it's cause Jeremy really wants to make people happy. Rain alone can't do that, so you using your power after rain makes Jeremy happy, because he thinks he's made something beautiful for people...because he thinks you're beautiful really." Michael's cheeks were rapidly glowing brighter, the rainbow streaks under his eyes the cause of that. "Michael? Are you alright?"

"Y-Yeah! I'm fine, do you umm...know where Jeremy's at right now?"

"He's in his room, off duty today since we aren't in any need for rain or precipitation." Christine smiled sweetly, her entire persona practically glowing...that's probably because she was the Sun but still. Michael nodded, making his way to Jeremy's room, which everybody knew always had some water coming out of it, since Jeremy had one singular rainclohd outside of the door.

Michael knocked, tapping his cloud like boots on the ground.

"Jeremy?" He called, and the door opened. He seen Jeremy sitting on the bed with his 'pets', which were tiny animal like clouds.

"M-Michael? What are you doing here?" Jeremy asked awkwardly and Michael made his way over to the eternally crying male, leaning on his bed.

"I wanted to talk to you since we're both off duty. And ya know...and we don't really get to talk much since I'm hardly on duty."

"Oh okay. Here lemme get you a chair." Jeremy snapped and a cloud chair manifested next to the bed. "It's solid, see?" He knocked on it to prove Michael wouldn't fall through. "So...W-What did you wanna talk about exactly?"

"Do you think I'm beautiful?" Michael's voice was very curious when he asked. Jeremy turned blue in the face, feeling his rain like ears turning to steam before they fell off his face. "Jeremy?"

"Mmhm..." Jeremy mumbled, the clouds around his head circling slower than usual.

"Why?"

"Because...y-you can make people happy..." Jeremy wiped the steamy tears from his eyes and blinked a few times. Michael grabbed Jeremy's hands in his own, removing the gloves and realizing how cold and wet the brunette's hands were. "You can make people smile...I can't..."

"That's not true Jeremy."

"Who actually likes rain Michael? Who likes me? All I do is cause schedule delays and shit like that and...and I just hate that I have to cause people to be upset..."

"But you're not just rain. You also produce hail, snow, flurries. And people love snow. They love playing in it, you should know that."

"But the hail and rain...what good comes out of that?"

"People play in the rain. Splashing around in puddles, cute couples take strolls through the rain while holding umbrellas for each other." Michael was trying his best to cheer Jeremy up, which almost nobody could do...nobody ever had..."Hey, quit crying please..."

"I can't...you know that..." Michael sighed before having an idea.

"Hold out your wrist."

"Okay?" Michael gently drew a circle around Jeremy's wrist, multiple times, each time creating a new strand of color. Jeremy stared in awe at the rainbow bracelet, holding it close to himself and smiling.

"Now if you get sad, just look at that and think hey, I help make these. Only when I combine with Christine can I make these." Michael smiled and Jeremy pulled a tuft of cloud from around his head.

"Gimme your wrist." Michael nodded, and Jeremy wrapped the puffy cloud around Michael's wrist. "It's not much but I-"

"I love it..." Michael smiled wide as he admired the cloud bracelet. "I really love it."

"You know...you're r-r-really beautiful..." Jeremy mumbled under his breath and Michael's cheeks were glowing again.

"So are you... with you long, curly hair, your blue freckles that dot your face like stars dot Jenna's sky, to your eyes, oh I love your eyes so much...I...I love you..." Michael intertwined their hands, specifically the ones with the bracelets on them.

"I...love you too." Jeremy whispered softly and Michael moved closed, looking down at Jeremy's lips and giving him a face that asked permission. "Yes, yes we can kiss."

Jeremy and Michael finally kissed, Jeremy's tears ceasing for the first time in his eternal life(he's like 2000 years old y'all he's so old). He finally stopped being genuinely sad...and happiness let itself into his heart and he liked it...no...no he loved it.

They released gently, their foreheads now resting against each other, and both of them were smiling.

"You know...I've...never really s-smiled like this before..." Jeremy couldn't help but think the feeling was an absolute blessing upon him, even though he was literally an immortal "ruler" over the human world.

"I mean...I've always felt this bubbling joy inside, on the opposite end I felt the worst sadness bearable... but...I never truly felt love before..." Michael admitted and he seen his cheeks glowing again, but not because he was blushing.

"M-Michael, you have pink now..."

"What?" Michael couldn't see the rainbows as he pulled away, hands still on Jeremy's arms.

"Quick, make a rainbow." Michael did as told and stared at the new color. It was beautiful. Jeremy gently removed more tufts of clouds and placed them under the rainbow so it wouldn't move.(Jeremy's clouds reform quickly) "Our rainbow..." Jeremy grabbed Michael's hand and gently moved the rainbow under the lamp in the room. "Look at this."

He turned the lights off, except the lamp, and the rainbow glowed brilliantly, causing both boys to smile as they began cuddling.

***

Jeremy had just finished making some light rain, and Christine was about to rise the sun, and Michael, as usual, used his powers to make the rainbow appear.

When they finished, Christine noticed Jeremy smiling for once...which was strange.

"You look happy today...you feeling alright?" She asked and Jeremy nodded. She looked back up at the sky and noticed the pink in the rainbow. "Is that pink?"

"Yeah...Michael sure makes beautiful creations doesn't he?"

"You're freaking me out, you're never this optimistic." Jeremy chuckled and spotted Michael leaving his room.

"Michael!" He ran over to his boyfriend, who picked him up and spun him happily before bringing him down and kissing him.

"Wait you two are a thing now?" Christine asked, and both turned to her and nodded. She smiled softly before heading back to her room.

She truly had created the one person able to make Jeremy smile...truly.
