Some jerk just beat up Evan after school when everybody left but Connor just had after school detention and Zoe came to pick him up. They found Evan crying in the middle of the hall way...

Evan shook violently, whimpering softly as his knees gave way

"oh,no.. no Evan don't cry!" Connor said crouching down and putting his hands on his shoulders

Evan collapse in his arms and sobbed into his hoodie as Connor wrapped one arm around his waist and slid his other in his hair

"I swear to fucking god, I'm gonna murder that discussing son of a bitch That did this to you" Connor muttered under her breath looking at the cuts and bruises on his friend

"Connor. Your not helping..." Zoe said softly, crouching down next to the pair, rubbing Evans back

"He can't stay at school, it's getting late," Connor said gazing around the quite hallway that was bathed in golden light

"i'm gonna stay at his house tonight because his mom is working late and I don't want his being alone"

Zoe nodded and left

Connor picked Evan up bridal stile and carried him out of the school and into his PT curser and carried him into his house and placed him on the couch

Evan was on Connors lap, still breathing shakily as big tears rolled down his face.

"hey... it's ok, everything is going to be ok.." he whispered in his ear

"can... c-can you sing for me?" Evan whimpered

"wha- b- but I'm a terrible singer!" Connor stuttered, taken aback

Evan simply looked into his eyes and softly run his fingers down the side of Connors face, making him blush

"w-well.. ok." Connor sighed.

Evan smiled and shifted him self so his legs where either side of Connor and Evan's head rested on his chest with his arms wrapped around his waist.

Connor had one of his hands in his hair and the other rubbing his back as he started to softly sing,

"Let's go in the garden, you'll find something waiting, right there where you left it, lying upside down" Connor softly sung rocking back and forth

"when you finally find it, you'll see how it's faded, the under side is lighter, when you turn it around" Evans breathing slowed as he sung but tears still fell from his closed eyes

Evan joined inane sung, "everything stays, right where you left it,"

his voice was so overwhelmingly gorgeous that tears started to form in Connors eyes as he gazed down at Evan

"everything stay," they sung in unison "but it still changes, ever so slightly, daily and nightly," Connors husky singing voice paired perfectly with Evans soft warm voice

"in little ways, everything stays"

as the song ended, Evan lifted his head so there faces were only inches apart. Connor wiped a tear from her face which had now gone red.

Connor slid his hand (that he used to wipe the tear) on the back of his neck gently pulling him closer, there hart beats and breathing falling in sync as heat grew in both of their faces,

When the logging for the others lips grew to strong, Evans warm, soft lips met with Connors.

Connor breathed in Evans familiar smell of lavender, feeling the heat from his face.

As they kissed, Evan noticed that Connors lips tasted like coffee and cinnamon, they fell into a pattern as they kissed as if this wasn't the first time they had done this.

when they finally pulled away for air, Evan giggled and rested his head on Connors shoulder as they fell into content and comfortable silence which eventually, became sleep.
