Hali was furious.

She'd been barely getting on with her life even with that job, and now that blasted police had to take the sole thing that was allowing her to live like she had.

"I chose that job," Hali hissed furiously. "I was happy with it."

"You're just brainwashed, child," was the calm reply. "I could arrange some therapy sessions for you. Free of charge, of course."

"I am not brainswashed, you dolt," she furiously retorted. "I fucking chose to be a prostitute. It's the only way I can earn money to survive."

Solar waved a dismissive hand away. "There's plenty of other legal jobs out there. You can apply to any of them."

"I'm still sixteen, you idiot," Hali snapped at him. "I'm not even old enough to buy cigarettes, let alone get a job."

"More reason to not get involved in this situation then." Solar adjusted his visor and looked over the raging teenage girl that was standing over his desk. "Look, kid. You're too young for this. Go outside. Live your life to the fullest. Don't get coped up with all of this."

Yes, Hali was furious indeed.

I have good news and bad news.

Good news is that this is my 50th oneshot entry in this book. There's more to come as I have seven oneshots I'm currently writing.

Bad news is that my soon-to-be uncle-in-law just died today and I'm crying. He was quite looking forward to my cousin's marriage, and now he's gone.

But anyway, I hope you liked this short drabble prompt.

Lovelots,

Glace, the Queen of Angst
