I woke the next morning to a still frozen camp, the fresh kill pile was no more and we were starving. If the snow kept up we would all starve, I knew I had to go hunting even if it killed me. I got up and padded out into the snow, soon I found my way out of camp. I went deeper into the blizzard and soon found a mouse hole, I dug down and grabbed the mice from within. I kept them with me and took them with me to the next mouse hole, I dug it out and found more mice. I took them back to camp, I put a mouse at each cat even Thislestar and it left me with one. I ate it quickly and knew we would not survive on this, Thislestar was loosing lives and fast. She was down to 3 lives, she lost 6 because of the blizzard. The blizzard soon stopped and we all went out of the den, Foxtrot came out of Thislestars den. His eyes sad as he jumped up onto high rock, I knew he had terrible news.
"Sadly Thislestar is now down to her last life, we must hunt and quick while I try to get her back up to health quickly!" He yowled heading back into Thislestars den, I ordered a few patrols for hunting and a few for border. Me and HollyWhisp went on a hunting patrol with Swiftflight, Scourgewhisker, Petalvenom, and Oakpelt. All the others went on border patrol, i sighed as I found a few holes but one I didn't know wasn't a mouse hole I dug up. Underneath we I found a very hungry fox, I hissed as it lunged for me. I dodged but narrowly, I lunged at it and I got it's neck in my grip. Firepoppy soon arrived and he helped me, the fox had a hold of him moments later. I tried to help him but when I got the fox to let go he was already dead, the fox bolted and Scarletclaw arrived her claws out. As soon as she saw Firepoppy dead she froze in place, she ran up to his body.
"No no you can't go what about our kits, our kits will be born in new leaf why why!" She yowled, I gave her a sharp look.
"How long have you been expecting his kits?" I asked, she looked up.
"A moon before we stopped being mates," she said her voice sad, this made me snap.
"Your saying you were expecting his kits, you cheated on me!" I spat, she looked up at me again.
"I am so sorry Shatteredfang," she burst into even more tears.
"If I were leader you would be exiled!" I spat, she lay down crying harder.
"It's not my fault it was an accident!" I yowled crying.
"Oh yeah an accident is when I you miss some prey, trip over but expecting another toms kits has crossed the line!" I spat.
"Shatteredfang please......." She said but I cut her off.
"You are a traitor to my life, I am glad we are no longer mates you traitor!" I spat running back to camp with my kill but before I ran off she said.
"Please forgive me," she cried.
"I am glad he is dead," I spat running off, the look on her face was that of shock. I put the fresh kill on the fresh kill pile and went straight to my den, HollyWhisp lay beside me trying to comfort me. I fell asleep later on, she too fell asleep.
