"As-salaam-alaikum" Inayat said as soon as she picked up Veer's call and he greeted her back with salaam.

"How are you, Inayat?" Veer asked but before she could answer for the first one he popped up yet another question. "You are comfortable at your new home nah? You don't have any issues, right? If Arjun troubles you then tell me. I will warn him..."

"Veer, I told you to stop worrying. I am perfectly fine here. How many more times will you ask me the same set of questions and piss me off?" She snapped.

Veer was surprised when his wife's snapped at him. She was always sweet and soft-spoken but today she was snapping, somewhat yelling at him. Well, it really thrilled him and he wished he was right in front of her now to see her reaction. He knew for sure she would look cute with her pale pink cheeks turning red with anger.

"Is it that time of the month, Inayaa?" He asked chuckling

Inayat crunched her eyes in mortification. "How do you know?" She asked in a whisper.

"You have never snapped at me or anyone..." He drawled.

"Hmm..."

"But just now you did snap at me so I figured it out that you are not in your best mood... You are probably irritated..." He had noticed his sister getting irritated and irrationally angry even before a week she gets her periods.

"Yes, I am... But it could be you, the reason behind my irritation, right?" Not necessarily me having my periods.

"Ouch! You wound me, Inayat" he faked sadness. She giggled.

"Do I really irritate you by calling frequently, Inayat?" Now he asked in a serious tone.

"No, you don't. I am sorry. I was just kidding. Please don't cut down your calls. I will miss you more otherwise." She said softly realizing how badly she missed her husband.

"Alright, I will call whenever I find time. Now tell me what are you doing? Is my family around you?"

"No, I am lying on our bed in our room and talking with you"

"Are you having cramps?" He asked in concern. Why because she never had the habit of resting or taking nap at day time but now she was in bed which worried him that she was not feeling well.

"Yes, I do but nothing unbearable so you don't start worrying, Veer" she told him calmly.

"If you need help don't hesitate to ask maa"

"I know but I am not going to disturb her today. She is already busy helping Naira pack her things for her Goa trip"

"I don't know why she is going with the boys"

"What's wrong in that Veer? She knows them and they are like family, right?"

"Yeah, that's true but..." He drawled not knowing how to explain.

"But?"

"Roshan would have loved to have some time alone and try to forget my sister but now that she is tagging along... It will be hard for him to relax, let alone to move on in his life. He will keep worrying for her and forget his own happiness..."

"Just like you" Inayat interrupted.

"What?"

"You worry for me and lose your happiness, Veer"

"I agree I worry for you and I will keep worrying for you. That's not going to change, ever, but that doesn't mean I am unhappy. Even at the moment, I am talking with my happiness. You get that, right, Inayat?"

"Veer, I..."

"Captain!" Someone called from the troop.

"Inayat, I have to go now. I will call you later. Take care. Bye" he said and quickly ended the call.

Inayat sighed in disappointment as she wanted to tell him something which she knew he would love to hear.

She threw her phone up in the air when it suddenly vibrated in her hand but thank goodness, it safely landed on the bed. She grabbed her phone and checked the caller Id. It was Veer calling again.

"Were you about to tell me 'I love you', Inayaa? If so, I love you too. Take care. Bye" he hurriedly said and cut the call leaving her bewildered for a moment before her face broke into a smile.

"Thanks Allah for creating such a sweet soul for me"

"Mom, what are you doing? Are you helping me pack or trying to make me do double work? Why are you throwing my clothes out of my bag?" Naira asked. Today, she was going to Goa with Roshan and his brothers as they planned a week ago. Yeah, they were supposed to go last weekend but the trip got postponed for a week as Roshan got some urgent case to deal with.

"You are not taking any bikinis, swimsuits, shorts, crop tops and low cut blouses with you, Naira"

"Why? What will I wear in beach then?"

"I will get you Arjun's shorts. They will reach below your knees and you can wear them along with his T-shirt"

"You gotta be kidding me, mom"

"No, I am serious"

"Then its better you let me alone to pack my tour bag"

"Naira! You are going with boys so you have to dress decently." Why tempt the boy who already has feelings for you by dressing sexy and alluring?

"That's ridiculous, Madhu" Rishab commented from behind. He was standing by the door way and listening to the ladies' convo.

"Rishab, you don't interfere in this matter. It's between mom and daughter so you leave the room" she turned to his side and said in a no nonsense tone.

"Even if she goes Goa with her girl friends and wear those skimpy dresses, there will be hundreds of men out there in the beach ogling at her so tell her never to wear any revealing clothes, not only when she goes with the boys she already knows."

"Rishab, after a long time, only today I am hearing something sensible from you. Very good" Madhu appreciated him and patted his back. "You heard what your dad said Naira. No revealing clothes you are going to wear!"

"Mom, I have always worn clothes appropriately so please don't teach me what to wear and where to wear what. And you should stop making a fuss about me going on this trip with Roshan and his brothers. This is not the first time I am going with them..."

"But this is the first time you are going on a trip without your brothers. They won't be there to protect you this time..." Madhu always worried to send Naira on vacations because she was the only girl among the bunch of boys.

Both Rishab and Madhu's close friends had only sons, no daughters at all. They were the only lucky couple to be blessed with a baby girl and that gave an extra reason for Rishab to pamper his daughter more.

"I don't need protection from Roe." She said getting offended though her mother didn't mean protection from Roe but from other rogues.

"And she can protect herself, Madhu, if someone tries to mess with her" Rishab added. He was not that worried about her safety because he had trained her well in all defense areas.

Madhu sighed and hunched down on the bed. "Don't roam alone at night times and don't leave your hotel room unlocked" Madhu advised. Usually she would insist Naira to share a room with her brothers when they stay in hotels or resorts so that she would be safe but this time she couldn't insist on that. She can't share a room with Roshan and his brothers, can she?

"Stop worrying, mom. I will be fine" Naira said and gave a comforting hug to her mother.

"Don't forget to ring me at least thrice a day, okay?"

"Hmm"

"Enough of worrying, Madhu. Let her pack her things and get ready. There is hardly an hour left before she starts from here" he said and pulled his wife up to her feet, urging her to go with him. "Honey bee, I will ask Arjun to drop you at the Airport and from there the boys will give you company. Eat well. Enjoy well." he quickly pressed a kiss on Naira's temple before dragging his wife out of her room.

"You are not going to the Airport to see off her?" Madhu asked him when they stepped out of her room.

"Um... No, I have to be somewhere else in another two and half hours so I am not going to drop her now as it will be too much of driving for me"

"Where?" Madhu asked curiously.

"Just going to meet a friend of mine" he said evasively.

"Oh okay" Madhu didn't bother to press him to tell her who this friend was, at least for now.

After dropping his sister at the Airport, Arjun headed to Kathryn's house. Their exams got over yesterday but still he hadn't got the chance to meet her and talk. She was literally running away from him which he didn't like at all. He was determined to confront her today. He wanted to know what went wrong between them. Of course, he knew she was mad at him for shouting at her when she came to his home and spoiled their family dinner but that was ages ago right? He wanted to know how long will she be like this? Mad and rude? How long will she keep avoiding him? Will she ever forgive him for his pea size mistake? Will they ever be back to normalcy?

"Ah, I am going crazy here" he groaned as he pressed his foot on the accelerator. He couldn't wait to see Kathy. He missed her so much.

He would have gone to Goa with his sister as his exams got over now but he didn't just because he wanted to sort out things between him and his girlfriend. He wished if things went smoothly between them then he would take his girl and join the Goa gang by tonight or the latest by tomorrow.

Arjun rang the calling bell and impatiently waited for someone to open. When the door flung open he hoped it to one of Kathy's maids but to his surprise it was Kathy herself.

"Hi" he smiled but she didn't return his hi or the smile. She just gaped at him, blocking his way.

"Won't you invite me into your house?" He asked hesitantly. Or going to kick me from here?

"Are you going out?" He asked seeing her all dressed up in a skinny white jeans and pale blue shirt. She looked lovely. "I think I came at the wrong time. It's okay, I will come around later" he said and waited for a second for her to say something but she didn't. He sighed and turned around to leave, dejectedly.

"Arjun" she finally spoke. He swiftly turned back with a huge smile on his face.

"Yes?"

"Come with me" Kathy held his wrist and dragged him into her house and to her room, upstairs.

She literally pushed him into her room and shut the door rather noisily. Arjun was utterly surprised by her strange move and what more surprised him was her kissing him, almost knocking him off balance.

Did she miss me as badly as I missed her?

Oh baby! Slow down. Let's first talk. Let me apologize and then we will do what we always used to do! Fuck! He thought but couldn't utter a word as his mouth was tightly sealed by her. She kissed him ferociously and passionately as if that was their last kiss.

Kathryn pulled apart from kissing him but still held his head between her hands and rested her forehead against him and they fanned their breaths on each other's face.

"Whoa! What was that for?" he exclaimed as he securely held her in his arms, her legs dangling in the air.

Kathy wiggled in Arjun's arms silently insisting him to set her down on the floor.

He loved to lift her in his arms and kiss her and now he reluctantly set her down and waited for her to say something, something at all but she was behaving strangely with him. She was so quiet but her beautiful eyes were trying to convey something which he couldn't read.

"Kathy, are we okay now?" he asked hopefully. She kissed her, didn't she? So that meant they were okay, right?

"Arjun..."

"Yes" he wanted her to spit whatever was choking her.

"Arjun, will you make love to me?" she asked looking straight at his eyes with her eyes full of hope.

He didn't like how it sounded at all though she was asking him to do something really nice and sweet to her.

She wanted him to make love to her? Wow! He was hearing that from her for the first time and it worried him. Why, because, that wasn't his Kathy at all. She wouldn't ask him to make love. She just pounces on him and then they fuck hard. Even when he tried to make sweet love to her many times, she insisted on rough sex, then what'd changed now? What'd changed between them? And why the fuck she looked so upset?

"Baby, are you okay?" Arjun asked as he cupped her cheeks.

"Don't ask me anything, Arjun. Just make love to me" she ordered rather arrogantly. She took few steps in backwards till she hits the wooden post of the bed and then crawled to the mid of the bed and sat there. "Come" she mouthed. He slowly walked to the edge of the bed without taking his eyes of her. "Take your shirt off" she commanded. He did what she told like a robot. He quickly discarded his shirt and stood in front of her naked up waist. She licked her lips as she thought of licking every inch of his torso.

"Now, remove my jeans" she instructed as she stretched her legs out, balancing her upper body with her elbows and placed her feet on his bare chest. He held her ankles and tried to bend her legs so that he can reach over and unbutton and unzip before pulling her jeans off.

"I will" she stopped him and quickly unbuttoned and unzipped making it easy for him to take off her jeans.

He took a step back letting her legs lose contact from his chest but he held them with his hands before they could fall down on the bed and bending down he kissed her toes one by one and ended the Toe-kissing session after giving a sharp bit to her little toe of her left foot making her yelp.

Then he held the hem of her pants and swiftly pulled them but she came sliding on the bed along with her pants. He wrapped her legs around his waist and looking down at her he asked "Can I fuck you this way? You partially lying on the bed and me standing with your lifted ass in my hands?"

"No, I want you to make love but it should be quick. I don't have time. Now get undressed and get on the bed." She untangled her legs from his waist and quickly removed her pants, shirt and under garments before stretching on the bed like a nude model.

Arjun stared at her with a frown. "Where are you going, Kathryn?" he wanted to know that, first thing.

Where the hell she is going that she has no time for him, for them to make love? He wondered.

"I said no questions" she snapped and crawled closer to the edge of the bed so that she could unbuckle his belts.

"Your hand. How is it? Is it healing?" He asked finally noticing her bandage.

"It has healed. Just I have to remove the crepe bandage" she said and in one swift move she yanked down his pants and boxers, letting his thing spring free.

"Now, I want you to put that thing in me" she tutored as if he was a baby with no knowledge about sex life.

"Why are you behaving strange, today?" Arjun asked out of his wits end.

"Arjun, for the first and the last time make love to me. I want to savour you."

"What?" He asked horrified. "Are you going to break up with me again? Kathy, I told... It just can't happen. Whatever it is... We will talk and sort it out but please don't break what we have beautifully built so far. I can't bear that. I have told you and I am telling you again... I love you. I truly love you."

"Arjun stop." She showed her palm to his face. "Don't go there now and don't make me beg. Just come and fuck me quick" she didn't have enough time to have a good time with him so she resorted to something quick.

"You tell me we are okay and only then I will make love to you" he said like an adamant child.

"Do I look beautiful to you, Arjun?" she asked warily. He frowned in confusion. What he asked her to tell and what she was asking him in return?

"What a stupid question, Kathryn. Of course, you do look beautiful to me because are so fucking beautiful. If you weren't beautiful, I wouldn't have even bothered to take a look at you" he said irately as he didn't get why she was asking something so irrelevant.

He fell for her looks first before he fell for her character so he honestly admitted that her looks played a huge part in their lives and he also believed she let him in her life only because he was equally good looking.

"Like I thought" she smirked and combed her hair with her fingers.

This boy is clearly using me. She thought. Well, then I will use him and throw him once and for all.

"Come here" she held her hand out and once he took it, she yanked it making him fall on the bed and she quickly rolled him to lie on his back and then she straddled him.

She sat her ass on his thing and felt his bulge. "Are you aching for me?" She asked. He nodded. "Good" she smirked.

After taking the much needed shower, Arjun walked back into Kathy's room to find her combing her hair.

"Your hair is wet. Blow dry it." He suggested.

"I don't have time for all that. I am already late"

"Where are you going? I have been asking this since I came here but you are not answer me. And your skirt is too short. It's almost indecent. Are you going to go out wearing that little piece of nothing? Why don't you change into something nice?"

She looked herself at the mirror before saying "I like it and I am going to US"

"What? You are leaving to America? But you didn't bother to tell me before?"

"I am telling you now"

"Why?"

"My parents need me there"

"For what?"

"None of your business"

"Kathy, are you running away from me?"

"You don't scare me so yeah, I am not running away from you."

He sighed in relief. "When will you be coming back to India? Coming back to me?" He asked in a low voice.

"I will be back to India in a month" she didn't answer to his other question because she wasn't sure whether she will ever be back to him.

"Will you be meeting that friend of yours?" Asshole Alex. He meant.

"Who?" Kathy asked. He gave her look that clearly says 'Don't act. You know about whom I am talking about'

"Alex"

"I will be staying at his place"

"What? Why you wanna stay at his place when you have a home there?"

"You know very well about my strained relationship with my parents... So obviously I am not going to stay with them."

"Then why are you visiting them in the first place? Please stay with me" he literally begged.

"Commitments. I have given my word to do something which I don't want to do..."

"Baby, don't let them force you to do shits. By the way, what they want from you?"

"Arjun, I am getting late." She said quickly glancing at her wrist watch. "Bye." She gave him a bear hug as she had a fix of his pure male scent. Her favorite scent in this world.

"Kathy, just tell me 'we are okay' for once." He asked as he hugged her tightly. "Please." He pleaded. He felt like she was saying good bye to him.

"Bye, Arjun" That's all she said before releasing herself from his grip.

She doesn't love me! She is leaving me! We are over! And that's so fucking clear! Those were the thoughts running in his mind.

Kathryn collected her handbag and trolley and walked out of the room. She didn't mind to ask him to leave.

A second later he snapped out of his shock and ran behind her but stopped when she entered into her grandfather's study room leaving her bags outside.

Two minutes later she walked out after saying goodbye to her old man and collecting her bags again, she marched to the door way.

"Your grandfather is in town?" He thought he was in Germany on business.

"He came last night."

"Who will take care of him if you go to US?" He looked for reasons to stop her from going away from him.

"I wasn't the one taking care of him all this while" she said as she dumped her luggage in the trunk.

"I will drop you in the Airport?" Please let me drop you, at least then I will get little more time to spend with you. Please.

"No, thanks. I will drive myself." She turned his offer down and walled around to the driver's side.

"Who will bring your car back?" He asked holding her hand.

"My drive."

"Why are you behaving like this, Kathryn?" He asked exasperately.

"Like what?"

"So cold and distant"

"No, I am not"

"Kathy, please don't go leaving things unsettled between us"

Without replying anything, she got into her car and started the engine. Arjun ran around and got into the passenger side.

I will come and collect my car later. He thought.

"I am coming with you" he said stubbornly as he folded his arms over his chest.

"I suppose you are coming with me till the Airport?"

"No, till eternity" he said taking hold of her hand. She roled her eyes and withdrew her hand from his hold and placed it on the gear shift.

Once they reached the Airport, Arjun helped her to the luggage down.

"Thanks" she muttered.

"Kathy, I am sorry" he said sincerely. She frowned not getting for what he was apologizing.

"For shouting at you at my home" he clarified.

"Ah its fine. I totally forgot about the event" she brushed his apology as she looked around for someone close to her.

"Kathy, I will miss you and I will be waiting for you." He said refusing to let her hand go.

"Let me go, Arjun."

He let her hand go and she turned around to walk away but he held her hand again and pulled her into his arms.

"Darling, I love you" he whispered as he hugged her tightly and pressed a quick kiss on her cheek.

"Please don't leave me"

"I have to go now, Arjun" she gently shoved him away from her.

He saw her walk away from him with heavy heart.

He wished she had said something assuring to him to indicate that they were still together but she didn't. She didn't even say she would miss him. She didn't even promise to come back to him. She didn't even turn and look at him... Oh wait. She stopped. She turned. She looked. She smiled. And she ran towards his direction.

Is she going to come and say we are not over and she loves me madly?

Is she going to come and hug me?

Is she not going to US at all?

Has she realized that she can't stay away from me for that long?

Is this some kind of a movie scene? Two lovers uniting in the Airport?

With all that pleasing thought and with a wide smile, Arjun slightly opened his arms to take his girl in her but she went into someone's arms who was standing right next to him.

He turned to side and found his dad hugging his girlfriend.

"Hey baby girl" Rishab pinched Kathy's cheek affectionately.

"I thought you wouldn't come"

"I promised you I will come and here I am. I never break my promise."

"Thanks for coming, uncle. I was looking for you only. I would have felt bad if I had gone without seeing you."

"You know what? I didn't even go to see off my daughter who has left to Goa just a couple of hours back. I made sure I will come to see you off."

"Aww sweet" Kathy pecked on Rishab's cheek.

Arjun watched everything in stunned shock.

What the fuck is happening here? She was showing cold shoulder to me but with my dad, she is all smiling and giggling and hugging and kissing?

And dad? You know about her US trip but you didn't bother to tell me?

"Time to board dear"

"I will miss you, uncle. Oh and thanks once again for helping me with my exams."

"Oh that reminds me. Take care of your hand and don't do anything crazy like this ever again" he warned her pointing to her now almost healed hand. "And I will miss you too but we can facetime, anytime" he said with a casual shrug.

Enough of your flirting old man. She is my girl. Arjun thought as he burned in jealousy.

"Bye, uncle. Love you" Kathy said and hugged him once again.

"Bye, love you too, Kitten" Rishab said as he hugged her back.
