Spirit's POV

Spirit, Conor, and Star were on a hunting patrol. Once they were away from the pack Conor broke the silence.

"So where have you been?" Conor asked, "I can tell you've been with another wolf."

Spirit sighed, "Just promise me you won't get mad."

"Spirit, what did you do?" Star asked.

Then she started explaining from the beginning where she went to the mountain. Conor and Star knew all about her background story. Then she told them when she met Griffin and how he slid off, spraining his ankle that she had to heal it. Then the bison chase and the deal they made. Once she was finished, both of their mouths were wide open with shock.

"So what you're saying is that you made a deal with my brother to teach you all about rogue life because you wanted to prove him that pack life is better?" Conor exclaimed, "Are you flea-brain?"

"It wasn't because of that," Spirit snapped, "I just wanted to know how it feels like."

"And then you're going to leave us just like how Griffin did?" Star asked.

"What?" Spirit exclaimed, "Of course not. Whatever happens I would never leave you guys. It's just for three days, I promise."

"But seriously," Conor said, shaking his head, "With my brother?"

"You don't trust him?" Spirit replied.

"Of course we do," Star said, "It's just...it's been so long and he's changed...a lot."

"Plus, you've only met him for only two days," Conor added, "You know nothing about him."

"And you're afraid that he'll maybe hurt me?" Spirit asked.

Conor and Star exchanged a look, "Well, not exactly."

Spirit started, "What are you-"

"Oh hey there," Spirit spotted Griffin padding towards them, "What a surprise to see you three."

Griffin flashed his siblings a look that she couldn't quite put. Conor and Star lowered their heads in guilt.

"Okay what was that all about?" Spirit asked, growing curious.

"Something that's only between us," Griffin replied curtly.

Spirit studied his expression but he gave nothing away.

"Well enough about that," Spirit said, "I still need to figure out how I can get away for three days."

"It's impossible," Conor replied, "Knowing Jackson he'll keep sending patrols to look for you. Maybe even fight packs thinking that they stole you."

"Oh well," Griffin yawned as if it's no big deal, "Luckily you have the chance to escape tomorrow night."

"Why is that?" Spirit asked.

"I heard a couple of rogues that the Mountain Wolves were planning to meet with the Guardian, Alphas and Deltas for a few days," Griffin answered, "Then the Mountain Wolves are going to set an ambush since there aren't any Alphas and Deltas. To be more specific, they'll be attacking in three days in the dead of night."

"How do you know that's true?" Spirit asked.

"Just a feeling?" Griffin shrugged.

"But we'll need you here, Spirit," Conor said, "We need you to fight with us."

"Yes and we need to warn them," Star added.

"I'm not sure they'll believe the word of a rogue," Griffin said, "And it's your only chance, Spirit."

Spirit glanced at Conor and Star then at Griffin. She sighed, "Okay, i'll make sure I come back for the fight. I promise."

"What? So you're still going to leave us?" Star exclaimed.

"Please guys, I need to do this," Spirit pleaded, "Something tells me, my heart tells me that I have to do this. Please let me do this."

Star and Conor hesitated before sighing in defeat. "There's no way to change your mind, is there?" Conor asked.

Star looked at Griffin, "You better take care of her cause if you don't bring her back, face the consequences."

"No promises," Griffin replied, "And i'm pretty sure she doesn't need a third wolf acting like her dad."

Spirit growled, "You better not cause I can take care of myself."

"Like that tiger attack," Griffin said, sarcastically.

"That was just one time," she retorted.

"And most probably the last if I hadn't saved you," Griffin replied.

"I'm not used to fighting things on my own," Spirit growled.

"Well since i'm going to be showing you rogue life," Griffin said, "Then you'll have to learn how to defend yourself. Anyways, why were you alone in the forest that time?"

Spirit looked down, "Because Jackson and Dex are the most annoying wolves in the pack."

Griffin snorted, "Why am I not surprised?"

Spirit was about to say something when Conor cut in, "Okay, we need to get hunting and get going back to camp."

"Aw but I already sense a beginning of a wonderful friendship," Griffin said, sarcastically.

"Yeah I look forward to know how annoying you are," Spirit snorted.

Griffin have out a mysterious smile, "You have no idea."

Sorry it took so long to update. I was busy writing my other story in my real account.
