Taeyong stood on the stage beside Doyoung. He never felt special and never will while standing beside an arrogant man. He was keeping his head low and always will, he avoided eye contact and always will, and he was ashamed to be marrying a lord of his kingdom and always will. He suddenly blamed himself for being like this.

Everything should've been different if he was an alpha or beta.

A strong arm was wrapped around his shoulders and he would always be disgusted. He kept his tears since he wouldn't want to make a scene or get Doyoung mad. As much as he wanted the lord to hate him, he didn't want him to get beaten up when they're alone. Doyoung was still talking about their upcoming ceremony and Taeyong was cutting his attention to him, never wanted to even listen about their wedding.

He was making himself busy by looking at the crowd and he was disgusted by their smiles, thinking that it was a good idea about the marriage. Switching his eyes to others until he found someone at the corner, looking at him straight with a stern expression.

Taeyong suddenly felt cold.

The omega wanted to run and explain everything to him, but they're nothing but acquaintances. There's nothing to explain and no reason to even try. He thought Jaehyun wouldn't mind letting Taeyong marry someone else.

Jaehyun won't even allow it.

"Thank you and please look forward to our ceremony!"

After the announcement, people slowly walked out of the castle as well as Doyoung and his guards. Taeyong was left standing there, looking at Jaehyun from afar but he got upset as he saw Jaehyun walking away.

"Taeyong."

The omega snapped and turned his head to look at the alpha who called him.

"Let's go. We still need to make changes for the ceremony," Doyoung said.

Taeyong nodded and timidly walked closer to Doyoung.

Jaehyun stormed himself out of the castle. Without even thinking, he let his feet take him to wherever they wanted. He wasn't really good at dealing with his emotions and it really shows to his actions. He was just about to leave the castle until someone called him.

"Jae, where are you going?" Johnny asked.

The man didn't turn his back, he just stopped in his tracks, "Somewhere but here."

"Why don't you just have fun with me?"

Jaehyun finally turned himself with furrowed eyebrows, "Have fun? You don't even know why I'm like this right now."

"Then let me. I'm your friend, remember?"

The alpha looked at him for a second and thought about telling him about Taeyong and everything. There are reasons why Jaehyun doesn't want to let Johnny know about his life and one is him being too talkative that he might tell about it someday to the wrong person.

"I have a thing for Taeyong, alright? He's the only reason behind every single day I wake up and go out of the castle--"

"Wait, wait, Lee Taeyong? Doyoung's partner?"

Jaehyun growled, "To beginning with everything, the relationship wasn't mutual. I hate seeing him with that man! He looked so devastated...He never deserve that, John. I can't just let the ceremony happen."

"You look really jealous--"

"Because I am, Johnny!"

Johnny sighed, "You aren't in the position to be. What are you even to him? No offence but you're just a mere acquaintance."

The man wanted to break, throw and burn something. Anger was an understatement and he hated that the picture of Doyoung makes his blood boil. He just closes his eyes and heavily sighed. As much as he wanted to calm down, he just can't at this state.

"Jae, forget about everything, forget Taeyong. I don't want you to get in trouble. You don't want to mess with Doyoung."

"Johnny, it's not easy..." Jaehyun faked a cry, "You're making me cry."

The prince chuckled, "But I'm serious. Let the omega go."

Jaehyun sighed and looked at his side to see someone coming into the castle. He looked back at Johnny with a serious look.

"What if it happened to you and Ten, and I'll be the one telling you to forget him?"

Johnny's look deepened and turned his head to see Ten coming towards their direction.

"Yeah, I though so."

Jaehyun walked pass Johnny to go back into his room. The prince followed him with his eyes, obviously worried about what will he do. Arms slowly wrapped around his waist, making him look at his mate who was already beside him. Ten smiled sweetly at him and somehow made Johnny feel better. He wrapped his arm around his omega's shoulder.

"What happened?" Ten asked.

Johnny furrowed his eyebrows, "What do you mean?"

"Jaehyun seemed upset?"

The alpha just kissed Ten's forehead, "Don't worry about it."

For once, he appreciates how important peace was. Taeyong didn't expect him to desperately want it. The Lord Kim he knew was different now he is his "fiancee".

"Are you okay?" Taeyong turned his head to the side to see Yuta. His brother looked worried. Why wouldn't he if Taeyong just stood infront of their entrance door for a minute?

"Are you joking with me, Yuta?" Taeyong chuckled bitterly.

"Hyung, I'm really sorry--"

"It's not your fault, it's not anyone's fault," the omega said, "Isn't it nice? Look at the bright side, we'll be having better lives after the ceremony. Lord Kim told me he'll give us a new home and support Mark in his studies. Father won't have borrowed money from someone else anymore. You could give your child a better future. You guys will finally be happy, right?"

"Then what about you?"

Taeyong closed his eyes, trying his best not to get emotional. He never wanted people see him as an omega--vulnerable and fragile. He was selfless and he has been thinking about his family all this years. All he wanted was to bring happiness to his family.

The omega sighed, "As long as you guys get want you always dreamt of, I'll be happy."

"Hyung--"

"I'll see you tomorrow, Yuta. Good night."

Taeyong walked upstairs and into his room. He slowly closed the door behind him and silently cried at how difficult his life has become. How did he even come up to this?
