"Jae, I want you to stay here in your quarters," Johnny said.

Jaehyun furrowed his eyebrows, "Why? Who are you to me again?"

The prince rolled his eyes at his friend for being so sassy this early morning, "Lord Kim is going to announce his mate today and for sure, people from the other kingdoms will come as well to witness the announcement."

"Oh, that bunny got a mate? Who is that unlucky one?" Jaehyun scoffed, "I can't believe this is happening."

"Well, you know him for being controlling."

The other just shook his head at how pathetic the announcement would be if everybody knows that the relationship won't go so well. Doyoung is probably going to hurt the omega and how unlucky would it be.

Jaehyun couldn't help but click his tongue while fixing himself infront of a mirror.

"Are you still seeing the omega?" Johnny chuckled.

"Of course," the prince said, "Also, I don't want to see your mate. He's too feisty."

"He's born with it."

"Well, I'm going now, John."

Johnny waved his hand, "Okay. Come back early if you want to know the announcement."

"Will do."

Jaehyun walked out of the room and strode his way into the empty hallways. He stepped out of the gates and saw people cleaning the place where the announcement would be held. Despite the place being a disaster currently, he walked towards to where the bakery is.

Not noticing, he has a smile on his face so early in the morning. He didn't want to deny it, he is excited to see the omega again. Every day, he looked forward to Taeyong's tea and small chitchats before he works. He acts like they've known for each other for quite some time when in reality, it's almost been a week.

Jaehyun was nearing to the bakery and he has his eyebrows meet on the middle as he saw the bakery closed again.

"He slept late again?"

The alpha walked to the direction where Taeyong was living. He found himself in peace as he walked on the road with fields of rice on both of his sides. He saw farmers on the land and thought if Taeyong does this things.

"Yoonoh? Right?"

Jaehyun turned around to see Taeyong's brother, Yuta. He smiled at the other and nodded. The man was wearing something a farmer would be wearing. Aren't they going to open the bakery?

"Yes."

"What are you doing here?" Yuta asked.

"Is...Taeyong here?"

The other nodded, "He's tired so I don't think you can stay at the bakery today."

"Did he sleep late again?"

"You don't have to know things about him. You can lea--"

"But I am here to make sure he's alright," Jaehyun said, cutting the other's words.

Yuta furrowed his eyebrows at the man, "He's alright. Now, can you leave our place? He doesn't need anyone right now."

"I will but can you please tell him that I came here?"

The brother nodded, "Alright."

Jaehyun bowed, "Thank you. I'll get going now."

The man walked back to his tracks. His mood got sadder by not seeing Taeyong today. Maybe he worked too hard yesterday and felt tiredness the next day. Jaehyun really want to check if he's alright but he's afraid that his brother might fight him to the ground. Also, if he wants to court the omega, he needs to court his family first.

The things he does for love.

Jaehyun was back at the noisy market. He somehow kept his head down, not wanting to draw any attention. Instead of hearing them shout and laugh, there were gossips about the mate of Kim Doyoung. But he doesn't seem to care about the rumors. The heck he care about Doyoung and his life? He probably doesn't care about his mate as well--He got Taeyong to worry about.

Going back at the castle, Jaehyun was ran pass by maids. They were obviously busy and seemed like the venue was almost finished. They really make this event important, huh? Jaehyun shrugged and walked inside to see Johnny. To his surprise, people filled the castle for the announcement. He furrowed his eyebrows at how crowded it was. He tried excusing himself from the people until he finally got into hallway where he could walk freely.

"Jaehyun."

"Oh, Johnny. Is it about to start?" Jaehyun asked.

The prince nodded, "It was quite early because Lord Kim requested it."

"What a spoiled brat."

"Come with me. Let's meet the mate of Doyoung," Johnny said.

"I'll stand in the crowd and blend with them. Doyoung might find out if I'm with you."

"Alright. See you later, Jae."

Both men split their ways to go to wherever they should go. Jaehyun go back into his room to change his clothing and try finding for a hat he could wear to hide his face. Doyoung might see him in the crowd and no one wants to see a scene.

After changing, Jaehyun goes back to the crowd and stood at the far end of the room. He waited for a few more minutes before the crowd went quiet and the ceremony finally started.

"Thank you for everyone who came here to see my mate that I have been waiting for a year. I, Kim Doyoung the lord of your humble kingdom, will be proud and happy to present my partner."

A boy walked up to the stage where Doyoung was and it was something Jaehyun couldn't accept ever. The prince was frozen on his place as the boy walked timidly closer to the lord and the sorrow in his eyes is something that was too evident. The boy was close to tears but he knew no one should see him cry.

"My partner, Lee Taeyong, will soon be my wedded mate at due time."
