"Look its some kind of cloak?" you hear Mono say as you look back seeing what he was holding, a gasp is cut on your throat.
It's the symbol of The Hope.

The little girl presses her hands up against the window of the cart watching the two figures that had run behind her. She now realizes the mistake she has made, however there is no turning back. She got off the suitcases and walked down the isle, the shaking of the cart made her rather dizzy, she jumps on one of the seats and tries to cozy herself against the armrest. She thought of the latest words from The Hope.

The broadcast had been shot that weekend and had been playing during the last 2 weeks:

We have achieved to turn the power back on in the train station of the pale city.
The train will take you towards the entrance of the city.
Once you reach the entrance we will be meeting in the salt mines outside of the city.
You will know how to find your way towards there.

Good luck
The Hope

The little girl's slumber was interrupted by a loud thunk in the distance. The cart was bathed in darkness, the windows paved the path in the cart. The brave little girl decided to investigate and find the source the reason behind the darkness. Only accompanied by a flashlight to light her way.

She walked towards the moving platform. The wind raced by her furiously brushing her hair in front of her eyes, If she hadn't been holding on to the railing she would have blown of like a kite. She brushed the hair from her face, accessing the situation, she studies the platform ahead of her. The cart shook violently as if it could tell her intentions, she desperately hung on to the railing, slowly making her way to the end of the platform. She takes a leap of faith.

Her fingers grip the ledge of the platform desperately finding a grip, the little girl pulls herself up on the platform resting on her back. She takes a breather, she gets up walking towards the door, it was suddenly pulled open.
A tall figure, the ticking of a clock and multitude of hands was the last thing she saw.

A flashlight drops to the ground.

Mono paced back and forth the room for what was probably the hundreds time.
You both had come back around an hour ago after the incident in the train station, you once again sat in front of the TV with a new determination to turn it on. You took a glance at Mono "could you just" you take a deep breath in "STAY STILL FOR A MINUTE?!" A startled Mono is left staring back at you only breaking his gaze when he ears something fall over, you merely respond by keeping your gaze on him before going back to work. "Are you really gonna fix that thing?" Mono turns over to you crossing his arms,"after what happened at the train station it gives me more reason to want to put this damn thing to work" you respond plugging in some wires "yes but isnt their a more, you know, traditional way to-" you cut him off for what seems the eleventh time today, "No, I've been following them ever since they grouped the first time" you take a pause putting your hands on the sides of the tv, "trust me if their was a more simple way I would have gone with it a long time ago" you look at mono seeing him rub his arm "remember how you had asked me why I was at the signal tower yesterday?" he looks up at you nodding "I went to find this" you get up grabbing your bag from across the floor where you had thrown it when you entered the room hours ago, you grab your bag pulling out a green plastic handing it to Mono. " what is this?" he holds the plastic turning it and studying it "come on lets sit by the window I need a new place to think" you walk out of the room Mono following behind you.

You sit up by the window Mono following after you. He sits down next to you still staring at tthe plastic he meets your gaze. Studying your eyes he swore he could see the gears moving inside your head, suddenly he got interrupted by your voice "how much do you remember?" Mono could feel a shiver run up his spine his face had darken looking at you directly your gaze was still caught on the green plastic "what?" he simply muttered "I mean before all of this!" he watched you stand up you seemed to address the whole city "don't you remember how everything was before? before we had to fear for our lives whenever we went down the wrong corner, or having to worry over if you had eaten or not, when adults didn't see us like pests?" you knelt down to mono's height again taking the plastic from his hand putting it aside you take both of his hand forcing his gaze and attention completely on you "don't you remember the time before we were forced to grow up? to have to fend for ourselves? when our only worry was whether we would have time to play to with other kids or having to worry over not tying our shoes or worrying over homework not being done?" Mono could see how your eyes desperately looked into his he could almost see a glimmer of hope in yours. You sigh letting go of his hands you hold on to your arms "cause I do, I remember when I was a kid not having a worry in the world" you pause looking out the window Mono could see how your eyes lost the small glimmer however he didnt notice the figure outside. "ugh I strayed off" you growled under your breath and turn back to were you had put the green plastic you turn back to Mono " The viewers always run towards the tv's and just become glued to them right?" Mono nodded "ok, this is a TV card usually TVs have this green ones their in charge of presenting channels" you point towards the card and then point out the window "those have a blue card and they only allow a selected few channels to play, but with this I can reach the channel that The Hope uses to communicate"
"So your plan is to fix that TV to use that" he points towards the tv card "ding ding ding! We have a winner ladies and gentlemen!" You jokingly answer you get down from the window seal making your way back down the hall hearing footsteps behind you "anyways I think I'm gonna give the TV a break, I just need to put in the card and I'm do-" you turn around seeing a tall figure.

You let out a yell and dash down to the TV room shutting the door behind you. Mono jumped from his spot on the window seal not having moved since you had left. He quickly jumps down from the chest dashing towards the hall halting when he sees the tall figure he sees that the door to the TV room was locked and the figure was banging on the door. He looked around for a way to help you. He spots a empty can.

You start dragging all the furniture in the room into the door. You take a step back when suddenly the door starts to jiggle and banging comes from it you quickly dash towards the TV you needed to find the message before they got in and get the hell out of their with Mono.

MONO!

"Shit shit shit shit" you cursed under your breath installing the card. The door kept banging and banging.

Mono grabbed the can and dashed over to the hall he threw the can at the figure waiting for it to turn around and see him. Once the figure saw him he quickly dashed back down to the main area and looked around for a place to hide. The fireplace? Under the bed? Inside a chest? Mono could hear the footsteps approaching towards him.

You where so busy surfing threw the channels trying to find channel 306 that you failed to notice that the banging on the door had stopped. "289, 290, 294, 297," you kept counting the channels eventually you heard frantic knocking, " Hey!" Your eyes shot to the door "Mono?!" You ran over "Open the door! That things isn't gonna be distracted for long!" You look at all the bookcases, their were to many things, and you didn't have much time to move everything you yell one thing at Mono.

The figure had rounded the corner of the hall not finding the small figure it once was chasing eventually it got back to the door it once was working on, deciding brute force was gonna be needed.

You pushed open the window, Mono jumped in soaking wet you "What are we gonna do? That thing is blocking our only exit" you were back on the TV flicking through the channels '303, 304, 305,' "306!" You yell, Mono quickly shot you a glare "are you kidding me?!" you ignored him quickly reading the message, you started jotting it down on your notebook when suddenly the sound of a CLICK stopped you and mono on your tracks "COME ON!" You felt Mono pull you by your coat dragging you towards the window, you both desperately pulled it open only being interrupted by a loud BANG coming in the room.
