Anika dragged him towards their room and opened his blindfold after opening the door. Shivaay opened his eyes slowly and noticed his room is decorated with flowers and balloons. He turned and noticed there were many pictures of him from his childhood till now. He noticed there were many pictures of his mother as well. He smiled when Omru and Priyanka hugged him and wished him a happy birthday

"Thank you", Shivaay said and hugged them back with a smile. Anika walked out of the room and came inside with a cake after a minute. Omru and Priyanka gave him his gift which looked very expensive. Shivaay asked them why they brought it so they told him that it was their wish. Anika looked down as her gift will be free according to them. She looked at them with a fake smile and asked him to cut the cake. Just then Janvi, Tej and dadi too entered the room which bring a smile to his face. She is happy that even Tej came to wish him. Hope he doesn't create any scene here

"I think I should confirm it first", Anika thought and walked towards Tej

"Thank you so much bade papa for staying awake", Anika thanked him with a smile. Tej just hummed and moved aside with an attitude like he just came here to show his face. Anika was hurt but covered her face with a smile again. She know she should not ruin his birthday when she asked him to celebrate.

Shivaay called Anika to cut the cake with him but she denied

"Bhaiya why are you asking us to help you? Cake cutting is not that much difficult just move your knife softly", Rudra said gesturing to him through his finger showing how to cut the cake. Everyone laughed hearing him as Shivaay acted like a child who doesn't know how to cut a cake. Shivaay glared at him and cut the cake himself. Everyone cheered for him and wished him happy birthday again

Shivaay made Priyanka eat cake first and then Omru as the trio were standing near him. Then he turned towards Anika and made her eat cake. Anika passed a smile towards him as his smile and happiness is very precious. No one knows how emotional he is when it comes to his mother and past. She wants to make his future bright with no sad moments especially because of her

After that, he feeds cake to other family members. After 10 minutes everyone left to sleep. Anika locked the door and started cleaning the mess created by Rudra in excitement to put the cake on his face but Shivaay saved himself as well as the cake. She noticed Shivaay picking gifts from the table and realised she didn't show him her gift yet

"I...I will give you a gift till afternoon or evening", Anika told and stand up after cleaning the room. Shivaay placed gifts inside the cupboard without opening any and sat back on the bed

"To be honest I am not a person who likes gifts, Anika. I earn enough to buy what I want. I care for people, not gifts. People may like their birthdays and gifts but I just want their time not anything else. Sometimes you reach that place where you hate a few things but can't say it a loud because of your love for family. I already asked you not to waste money on something which I can buy ", Shivaay said and closed his eyes remembering his mother who used to make his favourite dish on his birthday, rather than gifting him expensive things she used to take him out for rides. He doesn't remember many birthdays but one where he enjoyed his life to the fullest. She gave him one handmade tiny shoe as well as a sweater which he loved

Anika noticed his expression which changed into sad again. She turned his face towards her and wiped his tears

"If you will get emotional then how will I show you my gift? I was going to gift you something free because I made it and something I wanted to buy but seems like you will not like what I will buy so one gift is left. To see that first smile", Anika demanded. Shivaay smiled and nodded. He is loving her childish and talkative attitude as well. In the initial days, she was not much comfortable here, so she talked up to the point but now he is discovering her real self

"What is that? ", He asked. Anika passed a smile towards him and opened one drawer. She took something out which was wrapped in a pink coloured cloth. It was tied with a ribbon which looked easy to open. Anika placed it in his hands and stand near him being nervous. He guessed it to be a frame. He rolled his eyes as he can buy these frames as much as he want but when he opened it his eyes popped out in shock as it was not a simple frame but a sketch of him and his mother dancing together. He felt like he just saw his mother in front of him because of this beautiful sketch

"This is your art or someone else?", he asked controlling his giggle by seeing his mother with him. He can feel that his mother saw him grow up. Anika nodded and wiped his tears. She won't know if those were because of happiness or because his mother is not near him but she doesn't like his tears

Shivaay pulled Anika in a hug and kissed her hairs

"Thank you so much it means a lot to me, Anika. A lot", Shivaay said in a hug. Anika rubbed his back softly. She is very glad that he is happy because of her gift otherwise she would have cried thinking that she gifted something free to her husband on his first birthday with her. She is happy that he liked her hard work. Drawing these was not difficult as she is a designer but taking time out hiding from him was

"This is priceless... This is going to be very precious to me now. Can you draw more paintings?", asked Shivaay after breaking the hug. Anika nodded with a smile. She already has one incomplete drawing which she thought she will complete soon but never got some time alone. She helped him to sit and walked towards the cupboard to take some time when she felt two hands wrapping her waist. She knows it is Shivaay as only they both are present in this room but she is shocked as he never hugged her like this

"Are you fine?", asked Anika and placed her hand on his softly to assure him that nothing bad is going to happen. She can understand what he is going through. Even if she never loved her parents like him but she still misses them. She won't know how her father was and regarding her mother so she won't want to think anything about her but from the corner of her heart, she wants to meet her. She needs answers from her mother, she wants to ask her mother why she left them.

"Yes, I just want to stay with you. Not as a friend but as a husband. The way to take care of my every need is too much. I also want to do something for you. Like I want to complete your wish. Do you have any dreams from this marriage? ", He asked. Anika turned towards him with a jerk. She can't believe what he just said

"What.?...repeat it ", Anika demanded with a smile and jumped in excitement. At first, he thought she don't want anything and took his hug the wrong way but Anika proved him wrong by showing her excitement because of his words

"Do you have any dreams from this marriage?", he asked. Anika shooked her head and intertwined thier hands. Shivaay sighed in relief as it was difficult for him to hug her suddenly without asking. Moreover, they were never close to each other like this but now when he tried he felt peace. He never thought he will do something like this but this girl is driving him crazy.

"No, you already completed them unknowingly. Shivaay I never thought about love and affection. I just wanted trust and respect from marriage which you gave me and I respect you for this. Just enjoy this today. Tell me if you want me to do something for you as I don't know what else you want rather than these sketches. This was the best gift I thought for you. And I forgot to buy something else for you because of arrangements", Anika said in Reget and looked down. Shivaay smiled and both sat on the bed beside each other

"Everything happens for good. Please don't buy anything for me as I don't like wasting money on useless things. If you want to do something then can we move out for a day if possible whole family? Then we can continue office", Shivaay asked. Anika nodded happily and asked him to sleep. She knows how much he loves his family. She will try her best to give him some time for his family. She doesn't know why she doesn't want him to stay away from her now but she has to as they have their personal life as well. She should understand he has his whole family to spend his time with.

"What do you want to do then? Want to stay awake ?", Asked Shivaay sarcastically. Anika looked towards him and then herself. She still didn't change into a night suit because of arrangements. She excused herself from him and after some time she came out after changing into something comfortable. Shivaay smiled as at least she is a woman who hears him and respects him rather than making fun. He gave her space and turned towards another side to hide his smile. He is now getting attracted to her, he won't know if it is good or bad but he just wants to be with her and hug her tightly to feel her near him. Slowly they both dozed off to sleep♥️
