The whole college was going about the masquerade party this evening and apparently everyone was going except me, which didn't bother me at all to be honest. All you could see were people chatting about who they were going with and what they were wearing, it was actually getting on my nerves so much I had to rush to get through the crowd. From rushing to get through crowd me being me again I crashed into someone and fell to the floor with them on top of me.

They quickly got off me and helped me to my feet again "Sorry about that didn't see where I was-," I paused while I brushing myself down because when I looked up it was Hayden. "Oh right just sorry," I barged past him while he grabbed me back by the wrist. I turned around to face him and shook my head "Why you dodging me?" he asked "You know why and to be frank I can't stand what has happened lately so give me some time to think about being friendly to you again and I shall get back to you." I gave a sarcastic smile at him and he let me go.

"So you not going tonight for sure right?" he asked with sadness written in his eyes "Indeed, not my thing and I don't want more bad comments about me so it's best if I stick to what I do best.......staying out of the way," I was about to walk away until he said "You know Ally, I'm sorry for everything, I shouldn't have said what I said maybe this would never have happened if so," I smiled at him "Don't let Jay get to you, he's an ass and we all know it, he likes people to break and feel pain he wants them to feel what he felt so if anyone hurts the ones he cares about then he will break them until they aren't worth anything anymore."

I gave out another smile but this time it was small "Thanks Hayden I appreciate you telling me," and with that I walked away. I walked to my dorm with that sharp pain striking my heart again, the pain telling me to go back and grab him and don't let go. No what am I thinking I don't want that, but the pain dug deeper and deeper. I swing open my door and see Kerri on her bed reading. "Hey you alright, you don't look to good." I looked deep towards her and just nodded and jumped onto my bed.

"Okay I need your help?" she jumped up and faced me. I turned my head instead of my whole body because I was being lazy and I was tired. "What you need help with Ker?" I asked her. "I need help with my hair and make-up," she exclaimed. I rolled my eyes at her and sat up at full speed "But Kerri, you are like the master at doing all that why'd you need me?" I questioned. "I'm good at party make-up and normal day to day make-up you on the other hand I have seen in those pictures you showed me brilliant make-up and hairstyles for this type of occasion."

She had a point. "Okay fine when are you getting ready?"

<getting ready>

I sat Kerri down in a chair in the bathroom and spun her around to face the mirror. "Okay what do you want? Do you have a certain style or should I just wing it?" I questioned her. "Just wing it, but this is for James remember so make it good," I laughed "Okay here goes," I exclaimed. I took out some curling tongs and heated them up parted Kerri's hair in half and began curly each straight hair bit by bit.

Some were little, some were big, some were springy and some were lose but that just added to the affect. Once I was done with her whole hair she moaned "Is that it?" I laughed at her "I'm not finished yet just be patient will ya?" she shook her head and laughed along with me. I headed back into the main to find some fancy hairclips to tie her hair up in. I grabbed the crocodile clip I used in my hair for the beach party and ran back to the bathroom along with my grips.

I twisted some of the curls into a bun but made sure that the rest were hanging out of the bun and clipped it with crocodile clip and let the rest of the hair fall so you couldn't see it. I pulled some of the baby curls to the front of her face so they would handy down by her ears and spring up. She looked beautiful. I spun the chair back around so she faced the mirror when I turned around before I began and she clasped her hands to her mouth. "Like or don't like?" I wondered. She nodded and wouldn't stop so I started laughing again.

"Now for the make-up I guess," I asked her. I spun the chair back around and started to add light blue eye shadow on her eye lids, black pencil liner but not too thick to make her look like a slut, just the right thickness, a dark lipstick and some blusher. I turned her back around so she when she looked she didn't have loads on just a subtle look to make her stand out. "Now go get changed and then your be more pretty then you are now," I shoved her out her seat and went back and sat on my bed.

She came back out looking like someone in a movie which is a good thing. "Kerri you look amazing," she smiled and there was a knock at the door "Right now you stand in the middle of the room I bet its James so I shall get it," I ran to the door and opened it to see James standing there in a black suit looking handsome. "Hey Ally is Kerri here?" he asked. I smiled and opened the door wide so he could see her standing with the moon shining against her making her glow like a million stars in the midnight sky.

James mouth dropped to floor and while flopped back onto my bed and switching my laptop on. Kerri walked over to James and took his hand ready to leave, but they turned back to me "You know if you came, you could show Jay Frost who you want people to see you as, rub it in his face that you're not what he thinks you are," and with that she left with James arm in arm. I heard the door lock and thought to myself about what she said, I played it over and over and then said to myself.....

"Maybe your right Kerri."
