Day after day, night after night, the neglect and abuse would get even worse but... I always hoped that they would treat me like I was their flesh and blood. I'm Y/N Rose Xiao-Long or Branwen, Summer Rose adopted me when I was 1 year old, and they neglected me when I was 4 years old then... That's when the abuse started, I don't know my real parents' names, what they look like, or if they're even alive. But right now I'm praying the abuse stops so I can have... A normal life with my "Family".

Tai: WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT LYING YOU PIECE OF SHIT?!

Y/N: P-please *Sniff* stop, I'm n-not ly... *SMACK*

Summer: *Angrily* DON'T LIE TO US, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!

As a slap marked on my face, I began to cry.

Summer: You're such a DISAPPOINTMENT to THIS FAMILY!! Why did we ever get you out of the forest when we found you in the first place!?

Qrow: *Scoffs* You're just a pathetic kid.

Raven: What a weakling you are.

Y/N: W-why a-are yo-you doing *Sniffs* this to me?

Yang: 'Cause you're nothing to us but a slave and a punching bag to keep on using.

Ruby: Yeah, you're not even our real brother. *Laughs*

They all look at me with DISGUST AND HATE in their eyes, Tai grabs me and throws me down the basement, and while I try to get up Qrow kicks me into my cage where I sleep like the dog I am.

Summer: YOU KNOW WHAT NO FOOD FOR ANOTHER MONTH AND NO BIRTHDAY FOR YOU, YOU WEAK PIECE, I WISH I LEFT YOU IN THE WOODS TO DIE!!

With that, I gave up those last words broke me I was crying more than I ever did. I thought I could try and see if they'll love me but no I guess that will never happen... I don't care what happens to me tomorrow, I... I lost all hope.

Timeskip 8 Years old Location: Basement in the cage

As I woke up from my cage, I began to weep softly.

Y/N: *Mentally* Why, WHY?! WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO ME?! WHAT DID I EVER DO TO THEM...TELL ME!?! Just... Why?

As I sniffed, I heard the door open, it was Tai who opened it and he looked mad, then again what's new?

Tai: Get up now and make us breakfast.

I just nodded but that just made him mad.

Tai: DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!

Y/N: *Weakly* Y-yes sir.

Tai: Good.

As I go up the stairs he kicks me out of the way. I see the whole family there on the table waiting for me to make them breakfast. I finally make them all food as they all eat, I was about to leave but noticed Summer wince in pain from the coffee I made for her.

Summer: Agh! *Growls* Y/N!! *Angrily*

Y/N: Y-yes ma-.

She smacked me across the right cheek.

Summer: MY COFFEE IS TOO HOT!! WHAT IN THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!!! CAUSE OF YOU I BURNED MYSELF!! *Angry*

Y/N: I-I'm sorry, I didn't kn-know.

Summer: SORRY!!! YOU'RE SORRY!? YOU KNOW JUST FOR THAT YOU'RE GETTING A PUNISHMENT!!

She threw her coffee at me, it burned my right eye I couldn't see. I was screaming cause of the pain in my right eye.

Summer: THAT'S WHAT YOU GET!!!! ENJOY THE PAIN YOU BRAT!!!

As she was done, I started to sob as much pain as I was in. I then saw Ruby and Yang as they were smirking evilly. I knew what they were up to as they dropped a few plates.

Yang/Ruby: DAD!! Y/N BROKE A PLATE!!!

As I heard stomping and it was from Tai, of course you guessed it, he was mad as holy hell.

Tai: YOU LITTLE SHITHEAD!!!!!

*SMACK* *PUNCH* *KICK*

As he repeated the process again and again, he grabbed me and took me back to my cafe.

Tai: YOU ARE STAYING DOWN HERE WITH NO FOOD FOR 3 MONTHS, YOU SHOULD JUST DIE YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF TRASH.

I stayed there weak, broken, and crying. The only thing that was coming to my head was...

Y/N: *Mentally* Why... Today is my birthday and all I got was the beating of a lifetime, why me... I wish... I was dead to end this pain.

I then blacked out.

3RD POV

???: *Muffled* Our union was not finished. The X-Blade shouldn't stay broken like this. Join me now and we can complete the X-Blade!

Y/N opened his eyes and they were now yellow. He got up and a strange key-shaped weapon appeared in his hand.

Y/N went up the stairs and entered the living room where the family was and they were not happy to see him.

Tai: Why are you here?

Y/N didn't answer instead pointing his weapon at the family before speaking.

Y/N?: What's yours is mine!

Suddenly, in a split second, the family was damaged.  Y/N smiled at this walked up to Ruby and spoke out.

Y/N?: I must say, I wasn't expecting the family to be THIS weak. Wouldn't you agree...sister?

Ruby didn't answer, this only brought a smile to Y/N as he walked to the door of the house.

Y/N?: Well, this will be the last time you might be able to see me. So consider this a warning... Don't come after me.

Y/N walked a far distance from the house before his eyes went back to their normal blue. And right when that happened, a portal opened up right next to the boy as he fainted.

Location: Avalice Dragon Valley

The portal reappeared in a different world known as Avalice and left Y/N asleep while two figures appeared.

???: Hey Lilac, look at this.

??? 2: Who is that?

???: I don't know.

??? 2: We should bring him inside. He looks injured.

???: You can't be serious.

Small Timeskip

Y/N woke up and noticed he had bandages on his body. He looked around and was confused until someone opened the door revealing a purple dragon that seemed to be around his age.

Lilac: Hi there.

Y/N: Uh, hi?

Lilac: I'm Sash Lilac, but please call me Lilac, what's your name?

Y/N: ...Y/N.

Lilac: Y/N? That's a strange name.

Y/N: What type of faunus are you?

Lilac: "Faunus"? What's that?

Y/N: You...don't know? Wait, where even am I?

Lilac: You're in a treehouse that I share with my best friend near the Dragon Valley.

Y/N: No, I mean, what planet am I on?

Lilac: Avalice.

Y/N's POV

I don't believe it, I'm in a different world. But...how?

Lilac: Judging by that look on your face, you're from a different world, aren't you?

Y/N: Yeah, I am.

???: Really? That's cool!

Another person was next to Lilac who looked like a cat.

Cat: Tell me what's your world like, please!!

Y/N: Uhh. Maybe some other time.

Cat: Aw man.

Lilac: Carol, show some manners! *To Y/N* I'm so sorry about her Y/N.

Y/N: Nah, it's ok.... Hey, is it okay if I stay here?

Lilac: Of course, we'll show you around the treehouse so you can get comfortable if you'd like.

Y/N: I'd like that. Thank you.

Lilac and Carol leave while I think to myself.

Y/N: *Mentally* This could be a new start for me...a new dawn.
