So this just randomly came into my mind like 5 seconds ago so here I am.This takes place in the camping scene in the first movie.I keep doing ones when Branch is grey.😂Ok enjoyʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Poppy saw her banjo burst into flames.She looked over at Branch and sighed.Branch,please tell me why you cant be happy.I wanna help.She thought to herself.She turned her head,her eyes were full of sadness and disappointment.She really cared about Branch,she really did!But,Poppy wished she could tell him exactly HOW much he meant to her.Branch didn't know about how much she cared for him.But everytime Poppy thought about that she felt a wave sadness crush into her.He probably HATES me.And he has every reason to hate me.She thought.

She tried to hold back tears than walked over to her sleeping bag.She pulled the leaf blanket over herself and drifted off to bed.

Branch felt bad for destroying Poppy's banjo.I'll make her a new one once we get back.He thought.Branch enjoyed Poppy's singing,that was no lie.But he only stopped her so that Poppy wouldn't think of him as a softie.Branch felt guilt rush over him."Why did I do that?"he whispered to himslef quietly.He ran his finger through the grass infront of him then looked over his shoulder.He looked at Poppy one last time before falling asleep yet again.

~Later that night~

*sniff*

*sniff*

Branch sleepily opened one of his eyes.It was dark out still,but he swore he heard someone.He got up on his elbows and looked over at Poppy.He saw her slightly shaking and tiny little whimpers escape her lips.Branch got worried and crawled out of his sleeping bag.He got out and tip-toed over to Poppy.

He leaned down beside her sleeping bag."Poppy."He whispered.Branch hated it when a troll cried.It made him upset.But seeing Poppy cry made his heart shatter like glass.Poppy didn't move.She just continued sobbing and sobbing.She cried and sniffed and let her tears fall onto the grass."I-I'm so s-s-sorry."Branch couldnt take this anymore."Poppy!"He said he shook her.Poppy got up on her arms as tears fell down her cheeks.

"Its all my fault Branch.Its all my fault."She attempted to say.She choked on her sobs and buried her face into her hands,tears streaming down her rosy pink cheeks.

Branch put a hand on her shoulder.Poppy turned around to face him."Shh,its okay.Its not your fault."He spoke quietly.Poppy slowly wrapped her arms around him,crying on his shoulder.Branch was shocked.He could feel the purple tint on his face grow and grow.He hugged her back.

Branch rubbed her back saying things like "Its okay." and "its not your fault".Branch closed his eyes as he hugged her.Poppy hugged him,not wanting to let go.Branch had never felt this close to Poppy.He liked Poppy but didn't know if she felt the same.It would just make things even more awkward between them.I love you Poppy. He thought in his mind.

After a while Poppy stopped and all Branch could here were tiny little sniffs.Poppy then let go and stared at Branch."I'm sorry Branch."He looked at her confused."Sorry for what?"He responded."I dragged you along on this crazy quest and what if I can't do it.What if I get not only my friends captured but us too?!It'll be all my fault."Poppy hung her head down.

Branch looked at her and smiled.He reached his hand under Poppy's chin to make her turn towards him."Poppy,don't blame it on yourself.We'll be fine.And our friends will be fine,cause we're gonna save them.You're gonna save them."

Poppy jumped into Branch's arms."Thank you."She spoke softly.

"What are friends for?"He chuckled softly.

"Sorry I got your vest a little wet."She said.

"Eh,doesn't matter."He smiled.

Poppy giggled a little.

Poppy let out a small yawn and strecthed her arms."I'm tired too."Branch said rubbing his eyes.

"Now lets go to sleep."He spoke soflty.(AN/I already know what you're gonna comment Mia.)

"We've got friends to save."

Eww I hated this.Its so short! I made it to like 700 words.This sucks.And like I said this was made all in one day.Or night.I passed out writing this.Ok,Bye!
