You know that moment, when the lights suddenly goes out and everything goes dark but soon enough, your eyes adjust to the darkness and you can make out the shapes of object. It is a sign that you are not blind.

I thought I might start making out shapes of objects after the initial blackout, but in my case I couldn't. My vision remained black. It has been that way for ten years now.

My mother made me learn piano since I was three. Actually, I used to sit in her lap since birth as she played it. The notes, the melodies are my earliest memories and my lullaby. It's also the only thing I can do now. I'm just sad that people recognise me as the Blind Pianist.

Don't get me wrong, playing piano is my life. The amount of time I've spent sitting and just pressing the sleek keys is uncountable. The only way I could not blame the fate for making me blind and giving me something to live for.

"You have an admirer~" My best friend, Susie sing-songed from beside me. We were currently sitting in a bar after a big show. She played the cello and was a part of a big band formed by my mother herself. She had been my friend for five years now.

I laughed, carefully placing my wine glass down. "Don't tell me it's someone old and ugly again."
"Come on, babe. It was a one time thing but I can tell you this guy is hot. Even if he is a decade older than me, I'll still want him." I laughed again. "Okay, I'm feeling better with that information. Thank you very much."

I could feel her tipping her glass at me. "My pleasure. You might wanna give him a smile." I shrugged, sipping my drink leisurely. "I wouldn't be so fast. Let's see how long it takes him to introduce himself." Susie giggled, nudging me with her elbow. "You are one conniving bitch." I could only smile.

The bar was one of the upscale ones. Not too many people, not many who'd hit on ladies. Not that many men did. They ran away in the other direction of mine once they saw my once dark brown eyes turned unnaturally grey due to the infection.

In my early teens it really hurt me. Many boys actually dated me because of my family name and reputation. Some dated to show sympathy. At last, I decided not to date anyone unless he was interested in ME.

For the last five years I had been too busy, touring and doing shows. I lived for it, I lived for the applause and the spotlight, not that I could see it but I felt it. It's crazy how after loosing one of your senses your other senses become stronger than ever. Like how, I could pick out the proper card and pay for my drinks myself.

Or how, the thirty something lady sitting to my right was drinking shots after shots after her conversation with her husband on the phone about how he wouldn't be able to join her tonight. Or how Susie tried not to make it obvious that she was using her phone, texting someone as she pretended to listen to me.

I found it amusing. Susie was trying so hard to be good friend by being here for me but I could tell from the way she was typing furiously that someone was even more desperate to be with her.

"Is that my brother you're talking to?" I asked her finally when she sighed in frustration. "What? No! Absolutely no."
"You're shouting, Susie." That shut her up. "Ugh! I can never keep a secret from you. Yes, I was talking to Kyungsoo. He wanted to meet me later but I told him I'm with you."

I rolled my eyes. "Seriously, Susie. You should go meet him. My brother doesn't usually chase after women. So, if he is chasing after you that means he must really, really like you." She sighed, leaning forward on the bar. "I don't know if I should. It's not a secret that I like him but I'm afraid if things go downhill it might affect our friendship. I don't want to lose you, you know. You are my first real friend afterall."

I smiled and took her hand in mine. "Susie, I'm really grateful that you are my friend but trust me, if things do get shitty, it won't affect our friendship. You're my first real friend too."
"You promise?" She asked and I could almost see the pout on her lips. I chuckled. "I promise. Now go. I'll take a cab home."

She squealed like a pig before jumping from her seat and giving me a tight hug. "Thank you so much, babe. And don't forget to call me when you reach home." "I won't."
"And look out for the hot daddy. He looks ready to take my place." I laughed louder, smacking her butt. "Go away, Susie."

She was gone like a wind, only the remnants of her tinkling laughter still resonating in my ear.

"Mind if I sit here?" A deeper, darker voice replaced my friend's high pitched one. Letting my lashes down, I gave him a small smile. "I don't." "Thanks." He said and I could feel his smile in his voice. His voice reminded me of the velvety, decadent chocolate. Dark, delicious and quite mysterious.

"My name is Jeon Jungkook." The man said after ordering a Black Russian. "Can I order you something? Your glass is almost empty." I hummed finishing the last bits of my drink. "I would like an Aviation."

"You know cocktails, don't you?" Jeon Jungkook asked me after our drinks were delivered. I took a sip of my cocktail, letting the taste of it absorb on my tongue. "I do. I took after my dad in terms of my liking for alcohol."
"And piano from your mother I assume."

I turned to him, or where I assumed he was on my left, with my eyes wide open. "You know me." It wasn't a question. He laughed nervously. "Don't be so surprised. I actually came here after watching the show." "Oh." I uttered lamely.

There was a long awkward silence only penetrated by the buzz of the bar or the drunk lady beside me shouting for another shot.

Finally, he laughed once again, awkwardly of course. "I didn't imagine this conversation to go this way." I giggled. "Yeah, me neither. How about we start anew?" I put my hand forward. "Hi, I'm Lapis." He took my hand in his. I quickly noticed that it was much larger than mine, rougher, warm and calloused. "That's your stage name." I tilted my head, my fingers moving unconsciously over the back of his hand, feeling the veins.

"Kim Myungsoo."

"Nice to meet you, Myungsoo. My name is Jeon Jungkook."

I chuckled. "So I've heard." He laughed as well. "By the way, do you do this with everyone?"

"Do what?" I asked.

"Feel someone's hand up." I felt my face heating up and tried retracting my hand but he didn't let me.

"I'm really sorry about that, Jungkook. It's completely unconscious. It's just that I get to figure out how someone might look by touching them. I'm sorry I did that without your permission." I felt him release a breath. "What did you find out then? What do you think my hand looks like?"

I blinked rapidly. This was really a first for me but I decided to answer him. I took his hand in both of mine. Feeling it up.

"I can tell you workout a lot. Your hand is quite rough which tells me you must play some kind of musical instrument. String instrument. And your fingers... they are quite long and thick." And I think you can give me some amazing orgasms with those fingers, I thought but didn't say.

"Wow, your observation is quite right. I do workout a lot and I can play guitar. But you missed one thing." He said before bending forward, closer to my face. "I have tattoos." I felt my face heating up again as I imagined tattoos scattered over his strong arms and chest or wherever they were.

"Uhh... that's nice." I said looking away and gulping down my drink. He chuckled darkly seeing my reaction and I wondered how I looked right now because I had definitely removed all of my makeup, pulled my hair into a high bun and swapped my heavy black dress for cream coloured trousers and a lavender coloured turtleneck sweater.

"So, Jungkook, what do you do? Your profession I mean." I say trying to change subject and take my mind away from the fact that he had shifted in his seat, leaning closer to me. I could feel his body heat radiating.

"I'm a singer." He said. "I'm quite popular. You can always search my name up. I need to confess something though." I nodded telling him to carry on. "My real intention for meeting you is quite different from what you are assuming."

Ouch! That hurt. Especially after that intense conversation about his big, strong hands with nimble fingers....

Shut up, Myungsoo. Not the time to thirst over a stranger you just met.

"I came here with the initial attention to ask you for a collaboration, considering you don't do them quite often. I came here with the intention of persuading you but....."

Alright, that 'but' has just given me a sudden hope. So, I waited patiently for him to continue. And he did!

"I think.... If you agree that is.... Would you like to go on a date with me?" He said stuttering and rushing a little bit but I understood him. I looked down, feeling myself heat up again.

"Well, I would like to go on a date with you but I don't usually go out with strangers or atleast whose face I can't describe." I said hoping he'd understand my words. "I-I-I... Y-Y-You mean like...you'd touch my face? Here?" I couldn't hold my giggle as he stuttered, completely flustered. I wondered if his face became red or only his neck or ears. Oh, how I wish...

"Only if you agree. I might be blind but I am not like those few blind perverts." I said as as assuringly as I could. It sounded like he was scratching his neck, contemplating. "I guess you could. I mean, I wouldn't mind that much."

Smiling, I raised my hands and they landed softly on his chest. I felt him take a shuddering breath. It made a spark of excitement to run through me. I marveled at how defined his chest muscles were as I moved my hands up, up, up until I reached the collar of his shirt.

I took a deep breath, licking my lips as I felt how fast his heart was beating underneath my palm. "Last chance, Jungkook. We don't have to do this if you don't want to. It might be a little uncomfortable." His chest swelled as he took a deep breath. "I..." He took hold of my wrist, pulling me down from the chair I was sitting in and started walking. I figured we were going to the back where the toilets were.

He finally stopped after passing the restroom and what I thought was a break room because the music was dim and it smelled damp and a little cold. He put my hands on his chest again.

"Here, you can start with your examination now." I chuckled, stepping closer to him. I realised my head reached up to his chin. He was the perfect height for me. Smiling a little, I let my hands travel beyond the collar and on his overheated skin.

I slowly let my fingers brush along his jaw. He had a very strong jawline. "You are blushing, Jungkook." I said, cupping his soft cheeks.

He exhaled a laugh. "What do you expect from me when a beautiful woman like you is touching me so..." "Intimately." I finished for him when he hesitated.

His lips fell open a little when I traced them. Goodness gracious, he had lovely lips. "Yeah, no woman has done this before to me, you know. They usually just look at me." I grinned, moving my hands up over his eyes and forehead. "Of course, that's what they do. You are definitely a sight."

"I'm glad you approve." We both laughed a little.

"You have a scar here." I said touching his cheekbone. "Yeah and you have one here." He said touching the place between my eyebrows. "It's a sunglass scar. I got hit with a pillow and I got a very deep cut." By now I had moved to his shoulders and man, he was a muscle bunny.

His hand settled over my jaw, his thumb caressing my face. "Must've hurt."

"Like a bitch. Jungkook, how much do you workout in a week?" I asked on a gasp as I felt his defined abs. My brother tried so hard yet he didn't have such great abs.

He chuckled catching my hands and looping them around his neck before I moved further downwards, about to contradict my statement of not being a blind pervert.

"I work out like any other human being and it's definitely not relevant. Would you go out on a date with me now? You know how I look." I felt my face heating up as he put his hands on my waist, keeping me close but still respectfully away.

"I-I.., why would you go on date with me?" He tilted his head, his soft hair brushing my hand. "Because I like you?"

"Or because you want me to do a Collab with you?" He shook his head no. "I would never do that to you, Myungsoo. Neither you deserve to be treated like that nor am I that kind of man. I genuinely like you. You have no idea how mesmerized I was when you performed on the stage. You had every person in that huge ass theatre on the edge of their seats with your performance. And later when I saw you laughing and enjoying with your friend? I can't explain how fast my heart started beating and how I almost screamed when you acknowledged my presence. I've never felt this way about someone just by looking at them."

Heart touching words but I couldn't help but be sceptical. "I am blind, Jungkook. Permanently. It can't be treated. I will never have a normal life. I can't give you what you deserve because you deserve so much more than a blind pianist."

Suddenly, I was flush against his chest, his arms a steal band around my waist but his forehead pressed against mine a gentle contradiction.

"You are wrong, Myungsoo. You aren't the blind pianist. If anything you are the most sighted person when your long delicate fingers move on that piano. I don't know what I deserve but I know you deserve someone far better than me, yet I can't help but long for you. I want to be the man you deserve."

I started shaking my head in denial. He was wrong about so many things but his words stopped me from speaking.

"Give me a chance." He said burying his face in the crook of my neck, inhaling deep.

How could I reject him now? Not that I was keen on rejecting him in the first place. I liked his vibe, the way he was flustered one moment and a dominant next moment. He had a strong way of conveying his emotions despite his difficulty with speaking about his feelings. His voice was smooth and deep, luxurious and dark, making it hard to ignore him.

I sighed, brushing my fingers through his hair. "Take me home, will you? That way you will know where to pick me up from when we decide to go out."

He pulled away, surely looking at me with his large Bambi eyes. He laughed, the sound of victory as he placed a hard kiss on my lips which I was sure he didn't mean to.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry but you've just made me so happy. I couldn't control myself." He said in a rush making me laugh. "It's alright. But if you have overcome your excitement can we leave? I'm really tired."

A/N:

Hey y'all!

Thank you so much for reading this chapter. I hope you liked it!

This is the first time for me to write with Jungkook as the main lead and I'm not really sure if it is that good but still... I worked hard on this.

(P. S. : This might have a second part in future 😉)
