The train moved smoothly across the endless track, with a sound that could lull anyone to sleep. However, there was little sleep to be had for Ella. She had been laying in the bed for several hours trying different positions and twisting in the sheets. Eventually, she managed a light doze, but then she'd feel the baby stretch and roll in her stomach. At least that's the way she'd describe such normal and new movements.

Tintin hadn't been able to get any rest. She knew he was still questioning the people in the dining car. She thought about the determined look that would appear on his face once a case began. He always went into one with his whole heart. That was one of the things she loved about him, but she wished they didn't have to be so dangerous. She gently rubbed her stomach and sighed. Ella tried to clear her mind and turned on her other side. She listened to the sounds the train was making and her eyes began to become heavy. Soon after, there were many people walking past. With whispers and compartment doors opening and closing, she didn't fully go to sleep. Then, there was a light knocking on the door.

Ella slowly rose up and sighed, "Who is it?"

"Darling, it's me," replied Tintin's muffled voice.

Ella went to the door, and let him in. He had loosened his tie and his hair was quite ruffled. Right after she had locked the door and turned around, he wrapped his arms around her and deeply sighed. Ella began rubbing his back softly,

"Would you like to talk about it?"

He buried his face in her hair, "Yes and no."

Ella continued to rub his back and said, "While you were out, I couldn't get much sleep."

"Were you having more possible false alarms?" Tintin looked at her with concern.

Ella shook her head, "No nothing like that," they sat down on the bed, "Well, the baby has been moving quite a bit, but he has quieted down now."

Tintin smiled at her, "You think it's a boy?"

Ella laughed lightly and Tintin's heart softened. He took in the moment of his beautiful wife sitting beside him, with her sleepy eyes gleaming with laughter and sweet baby bump underneath her nightgown.

She smiled at him, "You know, I can't decide. Some moments I think it's a girl, and others I feel the baby is a boy."

Tintin kissed her lightly, "So do I, and thank you."

"For what?" Ella asked.

As he stood up and took off his tie he said, "For being you, and knowing the best way of getting my mind off everything for a moment."

She took his hand for a moment and said, "I love you."

Tintin gently smiled, "I love you too," and then emptied his pockets full of notes onto their little table, "I don't know how to feel about everything, it's not as clear as it usually is."

Ella laid back into the pillows, "Are there too many suspects?"

He shook his head as he unbuttoned his shirt, "I can't seem to find anyone that would fit in the suspect category. Mr. Finch said he hasn't wronged anyone to give us an idea at a motive, and the majority of the guests were strangers. Plus, there's the timing of everything that happened in the blackout I just cannot figure out."

Ella was just as confused as he was, "I see what you're saying, and how is Mr. Finch doing?"

Tintin threw his crumpled clothes into his suitcase and said, "He's doing a lot better than before."

Ella's brow was furrowed and she rubbed her stomach, "Mr. Finch has to be lying to you Tintin. Something has to have happened to cause this."

He nodded and pulled on his pajamas, "Yes, you're probably right. I feel like there is something he was hiding, but I cannot figure out what.."

Tintin began looking through his notes, "What if it's someone we know?"

Ella shook her head, "Tintin, it can't be, who do you?-"

Tintin ran a hand through his hair, "I thought- No. That couldn't be right."

Ella watched him as he sat there looking through his papers, "Tintin, you need to sleep. You know this is too complicated to solve this moment. Wait until you can question Mr. Finch tomorrow."

He leaned back in his chair and rubbed his face, "I know, it's just- I have so many theories."

Tintin turned out the light and Ella said encouraging, "We're going to figure this out."

He went over to her and kissed her on the forehead, "Thank you." and then he kissed her again so passionately she felt as though she could melt. Ella pulled him closer and felt so safe in his arms. The way he kissed her, was as though he was showing her everything he felt in his heart into one moment, into that passionate kiss.

Ella pulled away for a moment and gently touched his face, "Tintin?"

She could feel him smiling, "Yes darling?"

"You know what that made me think of" she whispered.

He ran his fingers through her hair, "Our wedding night?"

Ella couldn't help but blush at the thought of that night, "Very much so."

They shared one more kiss and soon both were asleep.
