AMANDA LOOKED over at Sophia, fear running through her veins. The blood stained onto her skin will surely give her nightmares for weeks.

"What are we going to do?" Amanda asked wearily, scared of what her friend might do next.
"I don't know," Cara said, her voice shaky with tears staining her cheeks like blood was to Sophia.

Silence. Forbidden silence.
What do they do next? A solid question but with a transparent answer. And by transparent, I meant that there is multiple answers. They could either leave Sophia's body be, or hide it, turn themselves into the police or just move on. There's more answers in fact, but neither of them could think of that. All they could think about was the dead body in front of them.

"What do we do?"

Cara and Amanda looked at each other. They could just see the fear in both of their eyes. But all hey could think about was Sophia, and what they're going to do before someone notices the dead body.

"Crap," Amanda spoke as she realized the big problem of everything.
"What?"

"My parents! Oh my god! What time is it?"

Cara shrugged and they ran back into the bathroom to get Amanda's phone. She had set it down when she was trying to find a hiding place in the small room.
She turned on her phone and saw the time in the big white bold numbers, covering parts of her Timothée Chalamet lock screen.

"It's 9:34. My parents are coming home at 10."

Amanda turned off her phone and put it in her back pocket, almost dropping her phone due to her shaking so badly.

"We have to hide the body."

Amanda looked over at Cara and when she looked her in the eye, she felt like this was a different girl than who she has been friends with for years.
"But Cara-"
"We have to. We can't go to jail."

The look Cara gave Amanda made her feel something. They were strangers acting like best friends. Cara showed her true colors; a true psycho, who isn't afraid to grab a hammer and just hit someone in the head. But Amanda? She didn't feel like she had anything new to show. She was the same girl she was when she invited Sophia in her home, and she's the same girl now, just with a little bit more information than a normal person should have.

Amanda sighed and nodded at her friend. Cara was right. They couldn't go to jail, not now. They at least had to try to run away from the law for a little while before the guilt gets to them and they turn themselves in.

"Grab her arms and I'll grab her legs. Our best bet is hiding her body in the basement and putting a tarp over it. You have a tarp, right?"
"Yeah," Amanda said quietly. The fear from Sophia went away, now that she wasn't breathing. But Amanda was still scared. And not from Sophia, from Cara. But any normal person would be scared from their best friend, who for one, just killed someone. Right?

Cara grabbed Sophia's legs, well, more like just above her shoes. Amanda walked over to the head of Sophia. The sight of the blood made her close her eyes and slowly let a tear fall.

"Amanda! Grab. Her. Arms." Amanda looked back up at Cara and winced. The tone of her voice made her just want to cower in fear. She hated it. This wasn't Cara and even Cara knew she had changed in the mere hour. "Amanda! If you don't want to then I'll just have to call the police ..."

"But you won't."
Cara's head snapped up. This got her angry. Sooner or later, a neighbor will wonder what happened when they remember that they heard screaming from Amanda's house. But they didn't even remember if they screamed, that's how bad their minds were fogged.

"What do you mean? You know what? Never mind, just grab her arms and let's take her to the basement."
This time, Amanda complied with Cara's request and grabbed Sophia's arms. Amanda made sure to stay away from Sophia's head so she didn't get blood on her pants, or her shoes. They made their way to the kitchen and once they were at the door to the basement, Cara dropped one of Sophia's legs so she could open the door. She gripped the ankle again and carefully walked down the stairs and made sure not to fall. Amanda dropped Sophia's arms and tightly gripped the door, ready to shut it on Cara and call the police.

"Amanda, what are you doing?"

Cara didn't bother trying to stop Amanda, she knew that Amanda wouldn't leave, for she had 'contributed' to killing Sophia. I mean, she was going to hide the body.

"Amanda!"

Amanda still kept her hand on the doorknob as she took one step back on the middle floor of her house. She knew this place in and out, and Cara didn't. Even though Cara practically lived there, she always had to ask what cupboard the cups were in. It was just her memory playing her out.

"I'm not getting in this mess," Amanda said sternly. Cara had a smirk on her face as she watched Amanda's knuckles turn white as she gripped the doorknob tighter and tighter by the second.
"But you already did."

The look Amanda was giving up softened as she looked at Cara, just watching the way her lips curled as she smirked.

"I'm not," Amanda said as she gritted her teeth, gaining her stern look back.
Cara's smirk widened; which seemed impossible at this point.

"Okay, do what you want. But Sophia's corpse will be in your basement, your fingerprints are on her dead body and you were going along with our plan until we got down here. Don't lie to me, you want this done, you want this body hid and you wanted her dead."

Amanda sighed, she knew everything Cara was saying was true, especially the last part. She picked up Sophia's arms once again and Cara nodded and left her smirk behind, knowing that her manipulation was key point.

The two 'friends' walked down into the basement and dropped the body, which created a loud echo in the dense area. Amanda took a step back and Cara looked at her sternly, keeping her eyes on her so she wouldn't pull another stunt again.

"I won't, I swear."
Cara nodded and looked around.

They needed a tarp. And as Cara looked around and Amanda took at the side being timid (which was never normal), Cara found the blue tarp in the back of the basement over a lawnmower.

"Cara," Amanda spoke shyly. Cara turned towards her and nodded, signally to have her finish her thoughts aloud. "Even if we hide the body, we'll be able to smell it after a few days. Do you see where I'm going with this?"

Cara nodded and smiled, happy that Amanda thought of this before they were actually caught by the police.

"Yeah, we need to bury our friend."
