Emma's POV: 

I chased chat back to Adrien's mansion; calling out for him every second I could. He ignored me. "Chat! Please, I have something to say." He stopped just outside his huge window: the house across the street. 

"WHAT?" He was visibly distraught and I don't think I've ever seen that emotion on his face. It brought a tear to my eye thinking about how much I made him hurt. "WHAT IS SOOO IMPORTANT? IS IT LADYBUG'S IDENTITY? IS IT HAWKMOTH? I DONT WANT TO KNOW, I just want you to leave." 

"But I..." I don't know what I was going to say but I knew I wanted to say something. I just let the words flow of soon as I thought them. "I'm so sorry. I..I know I messed everything up. And I'm sorry t..that you can't be chat noir," tears started distorting my words as I imagined Hugo, and maybe the rest of my family. Gone. "I'VE FUCKED EVERYTHING UP AND YOU CAN HATE ME FOR IT! T..THAT'LL BE FINE B..BECAUSE..." I started chocking on my tears so I had to wrap up whatever mess was coming out of my mouth. "But I'm going to fix it. I. I don't know how but I will, I'm going to try to fix this mess I've made and you can hate me! And you hate me in 30 years if you want but I'm going to make sure I put this right." My words were a mess and I'm sure my 'speech' did nothing to improve chat's mood. 

"Emma,"

My ears picked up at the sound of my name. Maybe I had done something!
