In a time distant to the present, in an age different from the now, resides Kayla Ryen. A 17 year old girl who aims to be successful one day. However, her mentality, her psychology, her intellectuality and her way of life is not the same as any typical teenager her age. Being the youngest at home, she's grown to be the kind of person who seems distant but close, cold but warm and intelligent in her own way.

Kayla is astounded by the wonders of space travel. In her heart, she's always wanted to fly freely without the constraints of gravity all alone on her own discovered celestial body. "One day", she mumbles to herself one night whilst in deep thought, "One day I will do it. I'll show the world what I'm capable of."

And so the fragile little soul is determined to achieve her dreams of being an explorer of the vast emptiness everyone refers to as Space.

After coming home from school one fine evening, she finds herself unable to speak after witnessing a small spaceship crash-land behind her house. Kayla dashes to her backyard to find a strange humanoid creature emerging from the wreck. Shrieks of horror lie in wait in her throat, ready to escape at any moment, fountains of cold sweat are flowing from the various pores present in her body, a sense of numbness is taking over her brain, unable to think, unable to react, unable to call for help and unable to process the situation. The creature's silhouette is fast approaching. Kayla steps back, stumbles and falls over some pebbles.

"There's no escape" she thinks, "It was a fine life I lived" she says under her breath. Kayla closes her eyes ready to embrace her untimely death by an unknown assailant, a shadow in the dark. Suddenly her brain clicks, she opens her eyes to see the leaf rake right beside her, it's just lying there like someone had deliberately placed it there. The creature is now near her feet, approaching ever so slowly. Kayla musters courage and the adrenaline kicks in, she reaches for the rake, and grabs it.

Her legs being near the behemoth, she kicks it whilst standing and delivers the final blow on the head. Right as she's about to hit, it cries out in pain "No, don't!" but it's too late. Kayla's rake has already impacted the head of the alien. She's taken aback at it's ability to speak the tongue of humans. After the dust settles, she brings out her Glassius to see the face of her kill and to her horror and dismay, it's not a behemoth, not an alien, not a demon, but a human! Now in a pool of blood circulating from his hind brain.

There's no one at home to help Kayla in this mess. Not even the neighbours. Trying to grasp the reality of the situation, she loses track of time. "How long has it been?" she wonders. It could have been any amount of time. Seconds, minutes, hours. After all, who was counting? The dead guy or the petrified girl? One quick glance at the Glassius reveals it's exactly been 18 hours. Or is it 12 hours? Or 4 hours? Her mind had gone blank and she couldn't even remember what time she reached home. She was just staring at the strange body without any regard to her surroundings. The sun had set as well. Realizing the sunset she pondered "It must have been more than 4 hours".

Her mind was not cooperating. What was she gonna do with the body? Bury it in her own backyard? And what about the spaceship? Kayla thought of calling the emergency services to deal with this mess but then she'd be arrested in the charge of murdering an unarmed human.

Kayla was not one to deal with extreme situations. She couldn't stop shaking. She felt guilty. She felt that the whole world knew of her sin. There was no denying it. But suddenly, it moves. The person on the ground shows a small sign of movement. Kayla watches with attention from the safety of her backdoor. She thinks, "What am I doing? This is wrong on so many levels." At this, she re-enters her backyard and starts poking the boy with a stick. Having received First Aid training from her school, she gets to work.

"First things first", says Kayla. She puts her ear next to his chest. A faint heartbeat is heard by her. A little too faint. On top of it all, he's not breathing. Kayla decides to put her differences behind her and begins inducing air into his lungs. A cough and a few heavy breaths later, the corpse springs back to life. Kayla retreats a few steps back holding the rake in case things go south. After some seconds, the boy stands up and begins a normal conversation with her as if nothing happened.

"Neat flying skills, am I right?" says he

"Who are you?", asks an unimpressed Kayla

"Ray Williams, son of Trifen Williams. Pleased to make your acquaintance!"

"Get that ship off my lawn!", Kayla demands and waves her rake around.

"Oh yes of course! Just a moment. Please put down that weapon"

After saying this Ray takes out a remote control from his pocket and pushes a button. The spaceship is reduced to a thousandth of it's size. Ray picks up the miniature spaceship and puts it in his pocket.

"My mother's eremurus garden! It's in ruins! She's gonna kill me when she finds out!"

"Don't worry! Everything will be fixed. Allow me"

"Why should I trust you?! You destroyed it in the first place." cried Kayla as she threw the rake away.

"You're right. There is no reason to trust me. But what choice do you have?" Ray tried to reason with her.

"Fine. Go ahead. Fix it"

"Yes of course. But...."

"But what?"

"Can you bandage my head first? It hurts like hell"

"Okay fine. But do you promise to not run away?"

"I won't leave until you're satisfied with your lawn."

"Wait I've a better idea. I'll bring the First Aid Kit here."

"Whatever, just fix my head"

Kayla goes and retrieves the kit from her bathroom but realises on the way that Ray can easily escape through the backdoor. He'd be long gone by the time she's back.

However she still takes her time to find the kit and brings it back.

Ray who was standing before has now retired to nearby lawn chair. He's just lying on it waiting for Kayla to come back. Which she eventually does.

"So ummm, is this spaceship yours?" she asks her visitor whilst opening the kit.

"Yep. I designed it, developed it and painted it all by myself. So don't you have any bright ideas of copying my design!"

"Relax. I'm not gonna steal your crappy design. I'll make one myself if I need to!" Kayla exclaims as she cleans the blood off Ray's head.

"AH! This hurts!" Ray cried

"Yea well you shouldn't have landed in my backyard then"

"I know but what kind of a person greets another person with a blow to the head?!"

"Well I guess I did take it a bit far with hitting you and all."

"'Took it a bit far' my foot!"

"Hey! At least I'm forgiving you."

"Whatever. Is it bandaged yet?"

"Almost" says Kayla as she is putting the bandage into place.

A few painful moments later, Ray is fully bandaged and on a dose of painkillers.

"Okay now watch this!" says Ray as he takes out a small robotic action figure.

"I have no time for jokes." Kayla is unimpressed as she packs up the med kit "My mom is gonna be back soon"

"I'm not kidding! Watch what happens when I press this button!"

Upon the push of the aforementioned button, a small quantity of red gas emerges from the figure and Ray instantly throws it a meter away.

"I don't want any more explosions in my backyard." says a worried Kayla

"Don't worry. Nothing can go wrong" Ray ensures her.

As soon as Ray is finished saying this, a 3 meter tall robot appears in Kayla's backyard.

"How did you do that?!"

"Well as you can see, my father invented this function which can shrink and enlarge any object at the push of a button"

"But technology hasn't progressed this far."

"You think the gadgets you buy at the mall are high-tech? The military is light-years ahead of that."

"How do you know all this?" Kayla was bewildered.

"Being the son of a genius doctor working for the government has it's perks." Ray said while a grin covered his face.

Ray uncovered his sleeve and started typing on the Glassius Holo on his wrist.

"I'm gonna program Qestial here to fix your garden okay? It should be back to how it was before and your mom will be none the wiser."

"But how will you know how it looked like before?" Kayla asked

"Oh, seems I forgot that part. It's not a very big problem."

Ray is soon immersed in his GHolo. Kayla is just looking around hoping everything can return to normal so she can go inside and do her homework.

"Ah! Here we go" Ray exclaims "Is this how your garden was before?"

Ray displays his find to Kayla.

"Yes but how did you find this?!" Kayla seems surprised.

"Oh that was really easy" Ray explains "I just hacked into a satellite passing over and retrieved some images of your garden before I crashed here."

"That was awesome." remarked Kayla

"But not as awesome as your garden is gonna be once I'm done" Ray winks at Kayla.

"Hahahahaha you're funny"

"So I assume you must be hungry or thirsty. What can I get you?" Kayla asks her visitor

"Oh that's alright. I guess a grilled cheese sandwich with milk will do fine"

"Okay I'll be back"

Saying this, Kayla is soon headed back into her house with a giant robot doing garden work in the background.
