After that day, Jaehwan and Hwanbi always looked after each other. It was becoming a daily activity.

Think of it this way, a normal couple would fetch one another from their houses. Jaehwan and Hwanbi's house is the hospital. A normal couple would always go on a date. Jaehwan and Hwanbi would always go outside the hospital for a walk.

They're happy for what they are now. But what is their relationship? No one knows, not her mother, not his father, not even themselves.

Walking hand in hand, Hwanbi's face put up with a smile while Jaehwan hums a beautiful song.

"Hey Jaehwan." Hwanbi nudged the humming boy. Jaehwan raises an eyebrow to Hwanbi.

"I want to live you know?" The girl was smiling sadly. Jaehwan ruffles Hwanbi's hair, grinning.

"We do." They continued walking peacefully to their hearts content.

Days continued like this. Until they got bored in the hospital.

"Hwanbi-ah~" Jaehwan was poking Hwanbi's cheeks. They were inside the girl's room. Her mother went out to work, trusting her to Jaehwan's hands.

"What? You're so stubborn." Hwanbi was on her period. That's why she almost snarled at the stubborn boy.

"Let's go out?" Jaehwan pouted this time. Hwanbi unable to resist his pouts, glanced at him.

"Out again? Aren't you getting tired outside this hospital?" Hwanbi was trying to be hard headed for once. Jaehwan's so spoiled when it comes to her. She's the one who pays for their meals everytime they eat.

"No, outside the border of this hospital. Meaning the city!" The girl's eyes widen when she heard what he said.

"The city? What are we gonna do there?" Hwanbi, now interested, grabbed both Jaehwan's hands. Jaehwan nodded eagerly, smiling widely.

"Like before! We'll go to the arcade, karaoke, and our favorite park!" I want to go to the amusment park too, Hwanbi thought. But she didn't bother saying it again. I should be contented, she thought.

Hwanbi agreed to the plan. Jaehwan went to his room to change clothes. As Hwanbi changes into her civillian clothing, she stares at the mirror.

"Wow, it's been so long since I wore stuffs like this." She smiled at her reflection. It wasn't like before though, with her pale lips that was always bleeding, thin face, dark circles in her eyes that always looked like she just finished crying.

It wasn't the same Park Hwanbi like before, with radiant smiles, circular face, pinkish lips, and a smiling eyes. She smiled bitterly.

Why isn't Jaehwan leaving me yet? I'm ugly, and my life won't be there too long. She thought. But then she remembered that the boy was the same as her. His life— she stopped thinking because it'll just hurt her.

The door opened, revealing a beaming Jaehwan.

"Let's go, Hwanbi-ah!" The girl followed.

They went to the arcade until Hwanbi got her first stuff toy herself. To the karaoke, until they're throats ached from singing. Lastly, to the park. They sat at one of the benches eating ice cream.

"Today, I had so much fun! Thank you Jaehwan-ah." Hwanbi smiled, this time no more worries evident in her face. Just like before, it was refreshing and beautiful. Jaehwan blushed for the first time, infront of her.

She looked at Jaehwan amused.

"Yah! Why are you blushing? Just because I said thank you, seriously?" Hwanbi hit Jaehwan's shoulder. She was also blushing now.

"This day isn't over, you know?" Jaehwan smirked. Hwanbi looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?"

"You'll see. But first you have to close your eyes." Hwanbi, because she was an obedient child followed Jaehwan's orders. Jaehwan hailed a cab while holding Hwanbi's hands.

"Why are we in a car? Are we going back now?" Jaehwan shushed the girl. Hwanbi felt Jaehwan's hands in her head, making her lean in his shoulder.

"You can sleep first. Don't open your eyes until I say so okay?" Hwanbi made herself comfortable in Jaehwan's shoulder. Drifting to sleep on the way.

"We're here." Hwanbi rubbed her eyes before opening it. They were out of the cab.

"THE AMUSEMENT PARK!?" She exclaimed. Jaehwan smiled at her, before holding her hands again.

"I rented the whole park to ourselves. Come on, let's not waste time." They entered the amusement park, the staffs greeting them with a bow and cheer.

"What ride do you want to ride first?" Jaehwan asked the still mesmerized girl. It was her first time in an amusement park.

"Let's go to the horror house!" She tugged the now scared boy. Regretting even asking her opinion.

As they entered, a white lady appeared so fast infront of them. Jaehwan screamed his highest note, Hwanbi ever heard.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAH OH MY GOD JAEHWAN HAHAHA!" She laughed like crazy after they finished the horror house. Jaehwan heaved out a relieved sigh.

"One of the ghost looks pretty." He said. Hwanbi glared at the boy.

"But of course you're the prettiest." He teased. Hwanbi shoved Jaehwan's face away from her.

"Shut up! You liar!"

After that they rode the not so extreme rides. Both scared to experience it.

They rode the ferris wheel last.

"Hwanbi, I'm scared of heights." Hwanbi's eyes widen.

"What!? I was about to say that! I'm afraid of heights too!"

"Let's just hug each other." Hwanbi didn't even think twice and hugged Jaehwan.

The ferris wheel reached the highest peek. Hwanbi shut her eyes close, tightening her embrace around Jaehwan.

"Park Hwanbi-ah." Jaehwan said looking at the beautiful top view at the ferris wheel.

"W-what, Kim Jaehwan-ah?"

"I love you." Hwanbi's eyes shot open after hearing the word.

"Can you repeat what you said?" She forgot about her fear of heights and faced Jaehwan.

"I love you, Park Hwanbi." Hwanbi smiled, her eyes were brimming with tears.

"I love you too, Kim Jaehwan." And they reached the end of the ride. When they went outside the amusement park, Jaehwan spoke.

"I was lying when I said I'm scared of heights, just to hug you." Hwanbi chased the laughing boy. Their day ended off so well.

Never reminding of their sad reality.
