This is a non-canon Valentines Day 2021 special! Enjoy!

I woke up feeling a sense of dread today.

I knew this day was coming because Mitsuba kept talking about it in the group chat. He was confident that he'd receive the most honmei choco out of all of us today.

That was right. Today was the 14th of February, better known as Valentines Day.

In the West, Valentines Day is a romantic day for couples, but here in Japan, it was a day for girls to give chocolates to boys based on their relationship.

There's giri choco, the obligatory chocolate. It's given to acquaintances, friends, and family, so just about everyone gets one. Typically it's cheaper and by no means a romantic gesture.

However, honmei choco, the love chocolate, is meant to be a romantic gesture. It's given to your romantic partner or the person the girl has feelings for. Receiving honmei choco is basically a love confession from the girl. As such, it's much higher in price, and some girls may even go so far as to make it by hand.

I was expecting to receive zero honmei choco today. After all, me and Valentines Day go together like oil and water.

In middle school, only one girl ever gave me giri choco. That was obviously Yukina. The rest of the girls in my class never even batted an eye to me. I wasn't good enough for their giri choco.

At the very least, mom and aunt Rina gave me giri choco to try and make me feel better. It wasn't much, but I appreciated it.

I was expecting the same results when I walked into class today. I can't imagine any girl other than Yukina to go out of their way and buy giri choco for me.

Oh well, I didn't really care that much honestly. It's less chocolate for me to give back to the girls on White Day. I'm just glad our 1st Year at GEN Academy was nearly over.

I got to class and sat down at my desk, where Nora, Yukimura, Mitsuba, Tanaka, Akihiro, and Kawaguchi were already sitting around silently in anticipation for the girls.

"Ahhh, I can't sit still anymore! The wait is killing me! Where are the girls?! They're late!"

Mitsuba was the first one to vent his complaints. It was true, almost all the boys were in class, and only two girls, Kita Hana and Kiba Ichika, had shown up.

As one would expect, Kita gave Ayano honmei choco. Kiba was going around the class, handing out her giri choco. Not before long, she pulled up to our circle and started dolling out giri choco to everyone.

"Sorry it ain't much, kinda broke this month."

Kiba had a rough way of speaking. This, combined with her delinquent looks, made her seem like an unapproachable and scary tomboy when we first met her. However, after getting to know her, she was actually quite a caring and delicate person.

"No biggie, thanks Ichika."

Yukimura received her chocolate with a grin. Due to their equally tough personalities, Yukimura and Kiba got along quite well.

"Hey, Kiba-chan, do you know where the other girls are? If Jun has to wait for them any longer, it looks like he's gonna piss himself." Akihiro snickered.

"Dunno. They usually keep me outta dark when it comes to that kinda stuff, which is friggin annoying."

Kiba wasn't exactly popular with the girls due to her pushy personality. She was more suited out to hanging with us guys, honestly.

"Oh well, try and not get any cavities from today."

She left to go give out the rest of her chocolates. Even though she didn't know every boy in our class very well, she still considered each of our tastes, buying us a different chocolate on what she thought we'd like.

She gave me a plain and simple milk chocolate. People like Yukimura and Akihiro got more bitter dark chocolate. Nora got a very milky white chocolate.

"Thanks for the meal!" Mitsuba didn't hesitate to swallow his down in one. "Ooh, fudge!"

"So, who do you think's gonna get honmei?" Kawaguchi asked, chomping on his chocolate.

"I think the better question is, who do you want to get a honmei from, de gozaru?" Tanaka asked.

"Oh, that's easy! I want Emica-chan to give me one!" Mitsuba piped up.

"Dude, she's not in our class. Choose someone more realistic!" Yukimura slapped the back of Mitsuba's head.

"Ow! She can come to our class! Okay, fine, if we're limiting it to our class...... I want one from Rinbayashi-san!"

It was only recently that Mitsuba and the others had noticed Amou's charms.

"Seriously?"

"What, did you expect me to say Kazuraba-san instead? Actually, both have huge tits, so it doesn't matter who I get it from..."

Once again, Mitsuba was thinking with his carnal desires rather than his brain.

"Dude, Yukina's gonna give her's to Yuuto, no cap." Akihiro snickered.

I was inconspicuously pulled into the conversation. In the first place, we weren't even a couple.

"Ugh, I know right! Damn childhood friends! I wish I had one!"

Mitsuba cried, but I knew I wasn't going to get one from her. She always gave me giri choco.

Just as I was about to tell them about my experience in the past, Tanaka cut in.

"Personally, I want one from Hono-san, de gozaru."

"Decent pick. Obviously I'm gunning for Sakigamiya-san!" Yukimura made a guts pose.

"Your chances are pretty high, actually. You and her have grown really close this past year." Nora chimed in.

"Aye, thanks. You could get one from Katsumi, y'know." Yukimura backed Nora's crush up.

"Well... I'm not sure about that."

The other guys weren't aware of this, but me and Nora secretly knew Katsumi already had a boyfriend.

"Have some more faith in yourself bro. You two like live together, right? You're practically a couple."

Nora uncomfortably laughed.

"I'm fine if I get any type of chocolate, really."

"What about you two, Akihiro, Masaru?" Mitsuba asked.

"I dunno. I'm not really close to any girls, so I only expect giri choco." Kawaguchi shrugged.

"Ehh, if I say the girl I like is in D Class, would ya believe me?" Akihiro replied sheepishly.

"D Class do have some fine women." Mitsuba sagely nodded.

"Which chick?" Yukimura asked.

"Uhh, you prolly don't know her. She's Kai Rikuto, the girl with purple hair."

"Oh, that girl! I remember seeing her in our locals before!"

Akihiro and Mitsuba often hung out at the card shop.

"Yea, that chick. I want one from her."

"We should check out D Class during break then!"

"Nah man, that's too try hard, just let them come to you."

"I dunno about you, but I'm kinda curious about how D Class is doing things, cuz they're united and everything." Kawaguchi said.

"Yea, let's rock up and check em out. Takanori has connections with em cuz they beat you up once."

Yukimura snickered at the time I was unfortunately lynched by Mikitaka. To think that was back in May... time flies by fast.

As we were chatting, the girls finally entered class with bags of chocolate in their hands. Mitsuba was the first to shoot out of his seat, and not before long, the rest of us guys looked at the girls too.

"Good morning everyone. Happy Valentines Day."

The first to greet them was our resident ikemen, Matsushita. Mitsuba snapped a pencil in half in fury when he saw all the girls in our class flock around him at once.

"That damn bastard! He's stealing all the honmei choco! Look at this madness!"

It seemed nearly every girl in our class gave him a honmei choco. Sakigamiya, Hono, Misogi, Akari, and even Fujimura. I'm pretty sure the only girls who didn't bombard him in honmei choco were Amou, Yukina, Taiga, and Katsumi.

"We are so not getting honmei choco, de gozaru..." Tanaka muttered in defeat.

"Nah, screw that, have some faith! Girls can give out multiple honmei choco, can't they?! Besides, it's just normal to give honmei to the cool guy! Those chocolates have no real feelings behind them! They might as well be giri choco!"

Mitsuba salvaged himself from the depths of despair and roared passionately, telling us to not to give up. Though, the fact he referred to Matsushita as the "cool guy" didn't inspire much hope.

I didn't see what the big deal was. I would be satisfied if I even received one giri choco.

The first girl to come over to us was Amou, who had coincidentally entered class at the same time as the rest of the girls. She was a bit of a loner, so she wasn't really friends with them.

She silently circled round our friendship group and stood in front of me.

"Here."

Amou handed me a giri choco and left without saying anything else.

I stared at the black wrapped chocolate in my hands in awe. I was so stupefied by her actions, I forgot to even thank her for giving me one.

The rest of the guys were in complete shock. They looked at me, then at Amou, then began making confused grunts.

"W-w-wait, why did Takanori-san get a giri choco but we didn't?!" Mitsuba exclaimed.

"What the hell? Takanori, explain!" Yukimura demanded.

"You've rolled your last ten pull, de gozaru." Tanaka growled.

"Hold up, did Rinbayashi really just ignore the rest of us?" Akihiro asked.

"Are we not worthy of giri choco...?" Kawaguchi cried.

"G-guys... l-let's not overthink this..." Nora tried to calm them down, but to no avail.

"Uh... I don't know either."

I could only utter those words when faced with their accusation.

"Maybe she's giving the giri choco later? That has to be it, right?!" Mitsuba wailed.

Unfortunately, it seemed like I was the only person to receive a chocolate from her in the entire class. Amou had sat in her seat, quietly observing everyone else.

"Damn it, Takanori, get your ass up and go ask her what the hell's going on!" Yukimura threatened.

"Why do I have to do it...?"

"You're the lucky punk that got one from her, that's why! Now go, before I snatch your chocolate and eat it for myself!"

I quickly pocketed Amou's giri choco and got up in fear. As I wandered over awkwardly to Amou, Taiga stopped me midway.

"Yo, Yuu-kun! Here's your giri choco!"

"Ah, thanks."

This time, I remembered to thank her.

"No prob! I expect a super tasty in chocolate in return next month!"

Taiga was always a bit cheeky like this. Despite our contrasting personalities, we had become close friends, somehow.

"I'll try my best..."

Taiga gave me a thumbs up as she went to give the other guys their giri choco. I returned to go talk to Amou under Yukimura's instructions.

"Uh... Amou-san."

"Hm?"

She slowly swivelled her head up to look at me. For some reason, seeing her doll-like eyes stare at me from below was really nerve-wracking. I rubbed the back of my neck, feeling the intense stares Yukimura and the others were burning on me right now.

"You gave me... giri choco, right?"

"Yes."

"Uh... why was I the only one to receive one?"

"You're my only boy friend."

Ouch. I couldn't report this dry and blunt reply to the others. If I told her Amou didn't even see them as acquaintances, it might create a strain between their relationships. Amou was always a little socially awkward, but I never imagined it was to this extent.

She tilted her head slightly, fluttering her silky hair, making me step back unconsciously.

"But those guys, they're your friends too, right?"

"No."

She didn't even hesitate to deny this. Scary...

"Then... acquaintances?"

"Yes."

That was... a start.

"So, shouldn't you give them giri choco too?"

"There's no reason to."

"Why?"

"It said online that giri choco is for your friends that are boys."

I see what's happened. Amou clumsily researched what Valentines Day was about because she doesn't have much experience when it comes to social events. However, while doing so, she's interpreted giri choco as being only for her male friends.

That's where the miscommunication lies. She simply didn't see anyone but me as her friend.

"No, that's wrong... giri choco is also for your acquaintances, like your classmates, and family too."

Amou's eyes widened briefly, before going back to their regular almond shape. She looked away, slightly embarrassed.

Her subtle movements were both scaring me and mesmerising me. Amou had a bewitching grace regarding her posture.

"So I was meant to purchase some for them too... how foolish of me."

"Yeah. They're kind of upset about it."

With that, Amou looked over her shoulder and stared at my friend group. Her icy glare was more than enough to get them to stop looking our way.

"It's fine."

"Huh?"

I was hit with a response I didn't expect.

"It's fine that they don't get any."

"Are you sure? You might not get any giri choco on White Day if you leave it like this, though..."

"I don't mind."

Amou then looked at me straight in the eyes. I was sucked in by the beauty of her cosmos.

"As long as you give me a chocolate on White Day, that will suffice."

An eye for an eye, huh? She said it so coldly I wondered if she actually even cared at all.

"S-sure thing."

"It's a deal."

Somehow, we had created a formal agreement to exchange chocolates on Valentines Day and White Day. We shook each others hands briefly, and I returned back to the guys.

"Ain't you suave, shaking her hand at the end like that?" Yukimura clicked his tongue at me.

"So, what's the deal? Explain yourself!" Mitsuba exclaimed.

I decided it was better to lie for the sake of Amou.

"She has a hard time communicating with others. That's why she only mustered the courage to give one of us a chocolate."

"Damn, so Takanori-san got lucky! She'll give us chocolates later today though, right?!"

Mitsuba put me in another tough position. If I say no, what kind of excuse could I use? And if I say yes, I'd only be troubling Amou. I guess it can't be helped...

"She said she'll mail the rest out."

"I guess something's better than nothing, de gozaru."

"Alright! Day late giri choco, let's go!"

Even though it wasn't the best circumstance, Mitsuba still got excited. I'll have to buy some chocolates and send them out to the guys, pretending it's from Amou. At the very least, this black wrapping should be easy to replicate.

Since we were sitting at the back of the class, we'd be some of the last to get chocolate from the girls. Soon enough, more girls started to make their way to us, the next being Tadokoro.

"Hey!"

Tadokoro was still timid in class, but she was steadily growing more confident. She could now come up to us and start a conversation, which is much better than a year ago, where we had to approach Tadokoro in order to talk to her.

"Tadokoro-chan, did you bring us giri choco?!" Mitsuba exclaimed excitedly.

"Yep! Well, sort of... I chopped up vegetables into heart shapes instead, he he."

Almost all the boys had disappointed looked on their faces when they heard Tadokoro had substituted chocolates for vegetables.

"Do I look like a rabbit to you?" Yukimura scowled.

"S-sorry! H-here you go!"

Seeing his scary face, Tadokoro panicked and handed out her cucumber hearts as giri choco. However, one person in our group actually received chocolate.

It was Kawaguchi.

"U-um... please accept this, Kawaguchi-kun..."

"Wait... huh?"

Kawaguchi was dumbfounded when he saw the neatly wrapped chocolate in the palm of his hand.

"Is this... what I think it is?!"

Tadokoro's face went bright red as she scurried away to escape the situation. Kawaguchi's cheeks started to turn pink.

"Bro, she really gave us rabbit food then slapped Masaru with the honmei. Bruh."

Mitsuba was rolling in his grave when he saw what had just happened.

"S-she never explicitly said it was honmei though! T-this could be giri!"

"Dude, we got cucumbers. You got chocolate. This was Tadokoro's way of saying you got honmei."

Akihiro bluntly spelt it out for him. Yukimura nodded in agreement.

"W-we ain't even that close! A-ah, does this mean she likes me?! Oh God, what do I do?!"

"Eat it, de gozaru." Tanaka offered some good advice.

"I don't wanna eat vegetables... who wants it?" Mitsuba offered up his giri choco.

"Yea same, some lettuce muncher can have mine." Akihiro offered his too.

"You guys suck, vegetables aren't that bad."

Yukimura, being the most healthy and athletic one in our group, swept up the unwanted giri choco and ate it for himself. Tanaka, who was now weight conscious, ate his without a fuss. Me and Nora did the same.

From the sweet taste alone, I could tell this was cucumber she had grown herself. Those guys were missing out.

"You were also mad when she gave us that!"

"Of course I was, I was expecting chocolate! But food's food, ya picky runt!"

As Yukimura and Mitsuba butt heads, Kawaguchi was still making a fuss over the honmei choco Tadokoro had gave him.

"Seriously guys, what the hell do I do?!" Kawaguchi pleaded for help.

Yukimura turned his attention to Kawaguchi and punched him in the arm.

"H-hey! What the hell was that for?!"

"Dude, just shut up and eat the damn thing. Stop being such a wimp. You panicking over this is the same as rubbing it in our faces."

For once, Yukimura was right. Kawaguchi was heavily overthinking the situation.

"Whatever man, fine..."

Kawaguchi sighed, unwrapping the honmei choco and eating it.

"G-guys... it's cucumber dipped in chocolate... it tastes like a wet mess..."

So this was Tadokoro's idea of handmade chocolate, huh? I tried to imagine the taste in my head, and it was really unpleasant.

"Suddenly I don't feel bad about not getting a honmei choco anymore."

Mitsuba laughed at Kawaguchi's mouthful of misery.

"Jeez, either that's the worst attempt at a honmei I've ever seen or she's played the sickest prank on you." Akihiro said.

"Please be the former..." Kawaguchi managed to swallow down the chocolate dipped concoction. "I'm surprised it didn't melt from the water."

"Y'know, Tadokoro-san might've been pretty smart with her confession. We know she's like, awkward and stuff, right?" Mitsuba said. "So, by giving him that "honmei" choco, depending on what Masaru gives her on White Day, she'll know whether or not he likes her back. If he gives her giri choco, she can say that her chocolate dipped cucumber was a prank. If he gives her honmei choco, they can start going out."

Mitsuba used his brain for once and deduced the reason why Tadokoro chose such a method to tell Kawaguchi she had a crush on him.

"So, do you like her back, Masaru?"

Kawaguchi spat into a tissue Akihiro had given him before answering Mitsuba's question.

"I... I dunno! I've never been in love or anything! That sorta stuff is dumb!"

Kawaguchi proudly declared his views on romance while chucking the used tissue into a bin at the back. Well, this is the same guy who prefers Vanguard over having a girlfriend, so it's understandable.

"Boo! Of course you like her! Who wouldn't be into a shy cutie pie like Tadokoro-san?!" Mitsuba gave him a thumbs down.

Surprisingly, he didn't comment on her body, but rather her face. Maybe he had grown a little too over this past year, in his own twisted way.

"Well, Kawaguchi-san has until next month to give an answer. You should think carefully about this." Nora offered some advice.

"Yeah... I will." Kawaguchi sighed. "Anyone got any juice? I can't get rid of this taste at all..."

The next set of girls to come over were Hono and Misogi. Tanaka was obviously waiting in anticipation to see whether or not Hono would give him a honmei choco.

"Here you go, Tanaka-kun."

Hono handed him a chocolate. Tanaka took it excitedly, bowing deeply.

"T-thank you very much Hono-dono, de gozaru!"

"Well?" Mitsuba peered over his shoulder.

Tanaka opened his hands slowly, like he was doing a gacha roll. When his hands were fully open, dread flooded his face.

It was wrapped in dark green, just like the rest of ours. Hono had given him a giri choco.

"D-de gozaru..."

Rate-up was a lie. Tanaka slumped to the floor, tears welling in his baggy eyes. Yukimura pat him on the shoulder in solitude.

"You'll get her next time."

Mitsuba started to sweat, realising it was also extremely likely he'd end up with a fate the same as Tanaka.

"The cookies Misogi made are pretty good tho." Akihiro munched on Misogi's giri choco. She had baked us cookies.

"Must be nice, knowing how to cook."

I knew Misogi through the cooking club. Emica, who was in the same club as her, dragged me there once to try and get me to join the club. In the end, we steamed some dumplings, and I've never went back since. I'm glad she's not chasing me up on that.

As Akari approached us, she was scratching her head and muttering to herself.

"Ehh, did I buy enough for everyone...?"

She was counting the remaining giri choco in her bag. When she finished, she counted how many of us were sat around the desks. Her face started to sweat. Our faces shifted to worry.

"Uh... which one of you dislikes nuts the most?" Akari asked, admitting defeat to her poor math skills.

"And I thought I sucked at maths..." Akihiro snickered.

"I have a nut allergy, if it makes things easier." Kawaguchi piped up.

"Oh, perfect! I... accidentally didn't buy enough giri choco for the class."

Akari laughed awkwardly to try and cover up her deflated expression. It seemed like she was one short.

"Anyways, I bought hazelnut chocolates, so, if it's okay, Kawaguchi-kun, can I give the rest I have to the others...?"

"Sure, go ahead. I don't wanna deal with stabbing myself with an epee pen anyways."

"Wait, Kawaguchi-san, you're allergic to nuts? Did you check if Tadokoro-san's and Kiba-san's chocolates were nut free?" Nora asked worriedly.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. I'm not hyper allergic to them or anything. I can take small amounts, like the traces found in chocolate, but big doses like those hazelnuts are a no-no."

"The more you know." Akari said as she handed out her giri choco.

After Akari was Katsumi, who brightly waved at us. Nora looked away slightly, making Yukimura stir up with conviction.

"Heya guys!"

"Yo, Katsumi. Got any honmei choco?"

The first person to talk back was Yukimura. He had suddenly become Nora's wingman.

"Eh? Well, I do..."

Oh no, Katsumi's air-headedness was going to leak the fact that she has a boyfriend. I had to stop her from saying too much if she wanted to keep her relationship a secret.

"Legit? Who's it for?"

"Wait, Katsumi-san. Sorry if this sounds rude, but do you know what the difference between honmei and giri choco is?"

I blinked twice as I said this to try and get her to take the hint. The other guys looked at me like I was being extremely rude. However, it seemed my subtle warning had flew over her head.

"Honmei is for my boyfriend, giri is for everyone else."

She said "my boyfriend"... I wish I could tell Katsumi that she's not making this easy for herself.

"I thought you didn't have a boyfriend?"

Katsumi was about to speak, as if to correct me, before she realised what my question actually meant. She shook her head.

"I-I meant like, my boyfriend, if I ever get one!"

Thankfully, she managed to salvage it at the last second. I breathed a sigh of relief as Katsumi started to sweat.

"So you're confessing today, eh? Who's the lucky man?"

Yukimura pressed forward, trying to glean information from her.

"I'm not! I don't have any honmei choco!"

"But earlier, you just said you had one?"

"Uh... I think I misheard you, he he."

Katsumi stuck out her tongue playfully. Yukimura raised a brow. I was hoping his own naivety would make him accept this excuse, but...

"Nah, I clearly said honmei. They don't even sound similar."

"To be fair, the classroom is pretty loud... everyone's getting excited over Valentines Day." Nora said.

It seems he's also recognised the situation and decided to lend a helping hand.

"Tch, my voice is louder."

"Actually, the cumulative decibels of the class—"

"I don't wanna hear this technical science mumbo jumbo right now!"

Yukimura gently shoved Nora to get him to stop.

"A-anyways!"

Using this shift in focus as her opening to escape, Katsumi quickly handed out her giri choco to everyone and slipped away without causing anymore damage.

"So, did you get it?" Yukimura asked.

Nora looked at the chocolate in his hand and shook his head now. Wrapped in red, she had given him a giri choco, like the rest of us.

"We're two for two on failures! Oh my God!" Mitsuba screeched.

Both Nora and Tanaka failed to get a honmei choco. Ironically, the one person who didn't want one from any girl in particular, Kawaguchi, was lucky enough to get one.

"Yo, calm down, there's still hope!" Akihiro said.

"There's no hope, de gozaru..."

Tanaka was still laying on the floor, looking half dead. Nora quietly ate his chocolate.

"I can't believe I have to give chocolates to the rest of you guys."

Sighing exasperatedly as she walked over to us was Fujimura. She was with her best friend, Suzuki. However, even though she complained about talking to us, her eyes lit up when she saw Nora.

"Though, seeing you makes doing this worth it!"

Fujimura had a giant crush on Nora, though he was oblivious to it. He just saw her as a close friend. Suzuki didn't waste any time and started to give out giri choco to us.

Even though they were gyaru and could be pretty mean, the fact they still went out of their way to get us chocolate was a sentiment I could appreciate.

Even Tanaka, who the two made fun out of in the past, got some giri choco. Yukimura, despite hating Fujimura, still grudgingly accepted her chocolate. Their exchange was very tense.

They could've easily not bothered since they didn't like us very much. Well, that would normally be the case anyways.

Me and Suzuki have an interesting relationship, to say the least. It lies in the fact that I actually know one of her secrets: she loves to write poetry. In order to not incur her wrath, I've kept quiet about it.

"As much as it pains me to say this..." Suzuki whispered as she dropped a giri choco onto my lap. "Thanks for not telling anyone..."

Suzuki looked away immediately to retain a sense of her pride. Her giri choco doubled as a gift of gratitude as I kept quiet about her secret over this past year.

Fujimura doled out the rest of her giri choco half-haphazardly before taking out a honmei choco. Stepping past the rest of us and standing in front of Nora's desk, she unwrapped the chocolate and picked it up, pushing it against his lips.

"Say, ahh~"

Nora's face went dark red as Fujimura tried to feed him the chocolate. The rest of us watched in shock as she boldly made her flirtatious advancement on him.

"S-Shouko-chan...?! W-what are you—"

Nora opening his mouth as he tried to express his shock was the perfect opening for her to strike. Fujimura gently fed Nora her honmei choco with her own two hands.

Mitsuba was on the floor, rolling in agony. Yukimura was about to punch Fujimura, but lowered his fist in confusion. Akihiro snapped a picture while snickering.

"How is it? Does it taste good? I made it myself, y'know~"

Fujimura giggled as she watched Nora swallow her chocolate.

"I... um... uh... eh...?!"

At this point, Nora had completely shutdown. Fujimura whispered something into his ear, sending him further into a meltdown. His brain had become mush as he tried to comprehend the situation.

Not only did he receive honmei choco, but he also got it fed to him by the girl that gave it to him, all while having this deeply intimate moment occur openly in public.

"Aww... you're just too cute!" Fujimura squealed. "Akihiro-san, send me that photo you took! I wanna see!"

"Ha? Uh... yea, sure thing."

Even the coolheaded Akihiro was bewildered by Fujimura's capricious personality. He sent her the image.

"Thanks! I'm definitely making this my new wallpaper~"

With this, Fujimura and Suzuki left.

"Bro." Mitsuba said.

"Bro." Yukimura said.

"Dude." Akihiro said.

"Dude." Kawaguchi said.

"De gozaru." Tanaka said.

Nora couldn't handle the judgmental stares of all of us. No proper words would leave his mouth. His face was dyed pink and his eyes became messy swirls.

"I was bout to smack her, but then she smacked me back with that feeding trick. What the hell have you done to her, Nora?" Yukimura was still shocked by what he had witnessed.

"Forget that! This son of a bitch got a honmei choco! Sure, it's from Fujimura-san, but it's still honmei! She even fed it to him! I wanna be fed too! Damn it, why is everyone else getting one except me?!" Mitsuba whined.

He seemed to forget that only two of us actually got honmei choco.

"I had no idea you two were so close..." Yukimura scratched the back of his head.

It seemed this had forced him reconsider his stance on Fujimura, even if briefly. After all, Nora was his best friend. If Nora and Fujimura's relationship continued on like this, it was very likely they would end up in a relationship. If that happened, Yukimura would start having to tolerate her for Nora's sake.

However, after a long hard think, Yukimura instead found a new resolve and smacked his fists together furiously.

"Nah, no way! Forget that! I'm hooking you up with Katsumi, there's no way in hell I'm letting you go out with that gyaru!"

"Yeah, you said it! Wait, huh?" Mitsuba had no idea what he was cheering for.

Nora slowly recollected his composure and buried his face into his hands. I couldn't tell if he was happy, sad, or still shocked.

Regardless, I ate the two pieces of giri choco given to me. For some reason, when I ate Suzuki's chocolate, it was more satisfying than the rest I had so far.

Afterwards, Yukina and Sakigamiya came over to us. They had been waiting patiently for our rowdy behaviour to die down.

"Good morning!" Sakigamiya cheerfully greeted us. "I hope you guys haven't gobbled down all your chocolates yet. It's way too early for sweets."

Yukimura tried to reply, but nothing came out due to his nerves. Mitsuba casually continued the conversation.

"Nah, we ate all the chocolate as we got it. Right guys?"

We nodded in confirmation. Sakigamiya laughed.

"Well, I can't blame you. I'd probably do the same if the chocolate was right in front of me."

Sakigamiya started to give out her giri choco. Immediately, Yukimura stiffened as he waited anxiously for Sakigamiya to give him a chocolate. I received one from her gratefully. She had wrapped it in dark blue.

"Ah, hang on..."

When she reached Yukimura, Sakigamiya started to blush. Switching the chocolate in her hand for a different one in her bag, Sakigamiya handed Yukimura a different coloured chocolate from the ones we got.

Mitsuba got up in his seat, making a hyped face, and started doing a strange dance with his hands besides his head. Tanaka rose from the dead, shooting his arms into the air with an excited expression.

Yukimura's face burned bright pink as in his shaking hands was a pink wrapped honmei choco.

"Happy Valentines Day, Yukimura-kun."

Sakigamiya smiled bashfully at him. Yukimura got up and started cheering uncontrollably.

"Thank you, Sakigamiya-san! Oh my God, you're the best!"

Mitsuba, Tanaka, Akihiro, and Kawaguchi broke out into raucous cheering for him. Me and Nora watched from the sidelines with our thumbs up. We weren't really rowdy like them, but we were still proud of him.

Yukimura held his honmei choco high into the air like a trophy. Sakigamiya laughed as he did this. Unsurprisingly, as the most popular girl in class, everyone was suddenly making a fuss over her giving a honmei choco to Yukimura.

"Dude, you are a legend! A freaking legend!"

Mitsuba cast away his own personal feelings aside to celebrate Yukimura's success. Tanaka nodded in agreement, pumping his fist into the air.

"I support this ship, de gozaru! You and Sakigamiya-chan are the perfect couple, de gozaru!"

Due to the ruckus of Sakigamiya's bold gift for Yukimura, the rest of the guys seemed to forget that Yukina was also here to give her chocolates to them. She quietly slipped her giri choco in front of their desks, but when she got to me, Yukina hesitated for a moment.

"Happy Valentines Day, Yuu."

Yukina took out a lavender wrapped chocolate from her bag and handed it to me. After checking what coloured chocolate she gave to Nora, which was also lavender, I deduced that this was also a giri choco.

"Happy Valentines Day to you too, Yukina."

She smiled, taking a seat back to her desk. I quietly unwrapped her chocolate, and ate it.

I noticed that I got a different brand of chocolate from Yukina compared to everyone else. I wonder why.
