This is a non-canon White Day 2021 special! Enjoy!

Today was the day, huh? I spent all night making this chocolate... I hope she'll like it.

White Day. It was a day that had the same concept of Valentine's Day, but reversed the roles so males would give females chocolate.

Throughout the week I procured enough chocolate to give every girl in my class, plus some extra for the girls in other classes. Last night, I made enough honmei choco for two girls. I was getting nervous thinking about it.

In the group chat last night, the guys were discussing who they were going to give chocolate to. Nora said he was just going to give giri choco to everyone. Meanwhile, Yukimura, Mitsuba, Akihiro, and Kawaguchi all had girls in mind they were going to give honmei choco to.

Obviously, Yukimura was going to give one to Sakigamiya. Akihiro was giving his to Kai. Kawaguchi made honmei choco for Tadokoro in return for what she did last month. And Mitsuba?

Well, he was going to give all the girls honmei choco. I hope they don't get food poisoning from his.

Regardless, I didn't tell them that I was going to give honmei choco. I didn't want them to know which girls were getting them. It's awkward and embarrassing if I did tell them anyways.

On my way to school, I bumped into Mai and Nozomi from 2-E. They were talking to Suzui, presumably about White Day. It looks like he's already given them his chocolate. I quietly approached them, with two giri choco in hand.

"Mai-senpai, Nozomi-senpai. Happy White Day."

"Hey, it's Yuu-kun!" Nozomi grinned, accepting my chocolate. "Thanks!"

"Morning, Yuuto-san." Mai gently greeted me, accepting my chocolate. "Thank you."

"Did Suzui-senpai give you guys chocolate already?" I asked.

"He's surprisingly bold, y'know? He got both me and Mai honmei choco!"

Nozomi laughed, slapping an anxious looking Suzui on the back.

"Does that mean he likes both of you?"

"It seems so... Suzui is very indecisive."

Mai giggled, patting an awkward looking Suzui on the shoulder.

"It's not like that! You're both my closest female friends... and I don't want to pick or choose."

"Ho, but last year you only gave Mai honmei choco. I got giri choco. What's up with that, eh?"

Nozomi grinned devilishly, catching Suzui off guard.

"I-I wasn't that close to you back then... I was more close to Mai. That's why!"

"All I hear are excuses, c'mere!"

Nozomi then got Suzui into a headlock, ruffling his hair with the back of her fist.

"Ow, ow! That hurts, Nozomiiiiii!"

Suzui was struggling to break out of Nozomi's arms. Mai laughed awkwardly watching her rough him up. She turned to me.

"Anyways, Yuuto-san, are you planning anyone honmei choco?"

"Yeah. It might wait until the end of the day, though... I'm really nervous."

"If you truly love that person, then you should have more confidence in the fact they'll accept it. No one's going to reject free chocolate."

"It's just the weight of those feelings... it could ruin our relationship forever. That's what I'm scared of."

"A little silly confession like this won't ruin anything if you two are that close. Have some more faith in your bond."

"It's difficult. I've never... felt that way for someone before, I suppose. So, I don't want to mess it up."

"Failure is the key to success. If you don't mistakes now while you're young, you'll regret it when you grow up."

Mai was right. If this honmei choco drastically alters the relationship I have with them, then I need to learn how to deal with the consequences of such an action.

"Thanks, Mai-senpai. I feel a little bit more confident now."

"Good luck, Yuuto-san. I'm sure your feelings will come across clearly."

With that, I went on ahead to get to class early. I wanted to get most of the giri choco out of the way as soon as possible. Before homeroom started, I paid a quick visit to B Class, where Natsumi was.

Things have really settled down in B Class recently. There's been a lot less in-fighting and they've been able to cooperate with each other more. Just as I was about to enter, I stopped myself when I saw Machida talking to Natsumi. I peered in, listening to their conversation.

"Honestly. Last month you were way too adamant on giving me that dumb chocolate."

"But you still enjoyed it, right?"

"...well 'course I did, it's chocolate. Just don't go outta your way to do something selfless like that again for me. It's a pain in the ass since I owe you one for it."

With that, Machida put down a giri choco on the table between him and Natsumi.

"Aww... Machida-kun, thank you!"

Natsumi reached over the table to hug him, but Machida pushed her away with a scowl.

"Hey, don't get the wrong idea! We're still enemies, aight? I just didn't want to leave you hanging."

I guess even jerks like him can be nice once in awhile. Machida left the classroom, crossing paths with me. He glanced at me momentarily and narrowed his eyes.

"...you didn't see a thing."

He walked away, trudging downstairs. I entered the classroom quietly, greeting Natsumi.

"Hey."

"Yuu-kun, what's up? You here to give me chocolate?"

"Yeah. Thanks for the one you gave me last month."

I handed Natsumi the giri choco I prepared for her.

"Hey, it's no big deal. We're friends after all."

Natsumi grinned brightly at me. She really was like a shining beacon of light. Even standing from here, I could see how much she dazzled and sparkled.

"I feel kind of bad though. You're really popular, so you're going to have to eat a lot of chocolate."

"Nya ha ha, next time you'll see me, I'll be on a diet!"

Natsumi patted her small belly, which was underneath her gargantuan breasts. I guess that's where all the fat goes.

"Oh yeah, I've got a strange question."

"Hm? What is it?"

"Kaido-senpai... does he give you chocolate?"

"Yeah, of course! Kaido-nii gets Sakate-senpai to make it especially, so it's always delicious!"

"I see. What kind of choco is it? Giri or honmei?"

"Honmei. Why?"

I paused.

"...I suddenly feel more confident in who I'm giving my honmei choco to."

"E-eh? Yuu-kun, don't tell me you're...!"

"N-no! It's not like that! I'm not a siscon! That's Asukai-senpai!"

Just as I exclaimed that, a thought came to my head.

"Ah, sorry Natsumi-san, I've gotta go now. I've still got a bunch of chocolate to deliver."

"Alrighty~. Smell ya later, Yuu-kun!"

"I took a shower this morning!"

I shouted over my shoulder as I left B Class. As I did, I bumped into Kutsukake from A Class. She was out of breath, huffing and puffing

"You...! I've been looking everywhere for you...!"

Kutsukake pointed at me dramatically. I took out a giri choco from my bag.

"Well, this is convenient."

"Huh... thanks— wait, no!"

Kutsukake was about to accept my chocolate before slapping it out of my hand.

"I'm not here for your free goodies! I'm here to tell you a message!"

"A message?"

"That's right, from Emica-san!"

...this can't be good.

"She said she's waiting for you on the rooftop. Don't keep her waiting!"

Kutsukake then picked up the giri choco on the floor.

"This is wrapped, right?"

"Yeah, you're good to eat it."

"Awesome!"

Kutsukake then ran off, popping the unwrapped chocolate in her mouth as she did. I guess I can keep her waiting and visit Emica later.

I went to D Class, where things were unbelievably lively. There was an excess of students coming in and out of the room. The girl I wanted to give giri choco to, Hoshimi, was nowhere to be seen.

"Brother! How's your White Day been?!"

The first to greet me was Mikitaka, bags of chocolate from the dollar store in his hands.

"It's been so-so. I've given out a few chocolates so far. Right now I'm trying to find Hoshimi-san, but... there's so many people here, I can't see her."

"You probably can't see her because she's surrounded by men at this very moment. With the innate power of my 530,000 IQ, I will find her using the gravity my brain creates from breathing!"

"...that doesn't make any sense?"

"Ha! Brother, you are a good man, but a mere mortal like you shall never be able to comprehend the power of the former delinquent god Takenaka Mikitaka's massive brain and it's centralised binary coding powers—"

"Oh, I see her. Thanks for the help, Mikitaka-san."

He was looking in the complete opposite direction of where Hoshimi actually is.

"No problem, brother!"

As I walked over to where Hoshimi was, she was legitimately surrounded by three men all at once. There was Zyriot, who had a stern look on his face, Yami, who had a dark look on his face, and John, who had a cool look on his face.

"Mandem, can we get dis farce over with? Mans got tings to do, ya done kno. Dis chicken's finna get cold if you lot keep waffling innit, pow."

The first to speak up was John. Did he just say chicken?

"Aye, Hoshimi, babe tings, you mans look peng today innit, but dis chicken is even more peng, ya get me? Mans got fire right here, Happy White Day and dat, dough dat dere sound mad racist, allow it fam! Here's your honmei giri choco chicken ting, brrrrrap!"

John slammed a giant bucket of fried chicken in front of Hoshimi. This... this was his idea of giri choco?

"It's da share size ting, so if you mans can't finish it all by yourself, you mans know how to call me, ring ring."

"Um... thank you, John-san." Hoshimi bowed.

This was such an awkward atmosphere.

"John, the point of White Day is to get chocolate for the girl, not chicken..."

"Bruv, you mans are really gonna say to my face dat chocolate's better than chicken? Fookin' wasteman! You wanna fookin' go bruv? Wanna scrap wid me, yea? Come outside blud, behind da Tesco's yea, let's see yous acting like a hardman now once mans hits you wid da one two one two, innit!"

John suddenly grabbed a shank made out of cardboard from his puffer jacket and threatened Zyriot with it.

"There's no Tesco at this school."

"Well shite, how's mans supposed to shank you now bruv?"

"You don't because I'm part of the mandem."

"Aye, fair play bruv, safe one my G."

Somehow, Zyriot had managed to diffuse an angry John back to his chill state. I guess it's mans never hot unless someone insults his fried chicken.

"Hoshimi-chan, I got you honmei choco."

Boldly, it was Yami who made the next move, which irked Zyriot. It seemed they both had a crush on Hoshimi. I just wanted to give giri choco...

"Funny enough, I did as well. Though, it's honmei choco using chocolate from America."

In order to gain an advantage over Yami's chocolate, Zyriot made his honmei choco with chocolate from his home country to make it more exotic. However, Yami smirked.

"Your chocolate's from America? Weak. I got mine from Belgium. The Europeans are masters of luxury chocolates!"

Yami had smacked Zyriot's advantage away in one fell swoop. It was true that Belgium chocolate was far more rich than American chocolate, resulting in a smoother and creamier texture.

"If yours is luxury, than mine is nostalgia! This is a taste of childhood, right here!"

However, American chocolate had a very sugary quality that would bring anyone back to their childhood days. The feeling of nostalgia could be stronger than the pleasure of a luxury chocolate.

"B-both of you, please stop fighting..." Hoshimi whimpered.

"Fine."

"Sorry."

Zyriot and Yami stood down hearing that. Meanwhile, John was straight up eating the chicken from the bucket he gave Hoshimi.

"Aye, dis kinda slaps cold, done kno."

"Thank you for the chocolates, Zyriot-kun, Yami-kun... I really appreciate them both."

"I'm glad to hear. Make sure to tell us which one was better." Zyriot said.

"Winner gets bragging rights for a month. I'm going back to class now, later." Yami said.

"See you!" Hoshimi waved goodbye.

Was this a good time to enter now? I stepped forward, presenting Hoshimi with a giri choco.

"Hey, Hoshimi-san. Thanks for the chocolate last month."

"Y-Yuuto-kun? T-thank you!"

Hoshimi was genuinely surprised to see me here. She accepted the chocolate gracefully.

"You sure are popular, huh?"

"I-I wouldn't say so... I just have really nice friends in this class, that's all."

Hoshimi was being modest, but on her desk were a wide assortment of chocolates from her classmates. Just as I was about to continue talking, a loud voice burst through the air, silencing everyone in the room.

"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSHIIIIIIIIIIIMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!"

That shrill cry for Hoshimi was something only her step-brother Asukai could make. He charged into the room, lunging straight at her with a massive bag of chocolate in his hands.

Not wanting to be run over by Asukai, who was charging towards her like a wild boar, I jumped out of the way with Zyriot and John.

"HAPPY WHITE DAY SIS!!!"

Asukai stopped just short of Hoshimi and poured the whole bag's content of chocolate onto her desk, flooding chocolate all over the floor. I better escape this place before I get drowned in chocolate...

Just as I was about to leave, someone delicately tapped my shoulder. It was Albert. We didn't need to exchange words, we greeted each other by nodding. Then, he took out a giri choco and presented it to me.

"...e-eh?"

Albert nodded, pushing for me to take it.

"H-hang on, Albert-san, I'm a boy...."

Albert shook his head. He didn't care. He wanted to give me giri choco.

"Uh... alright, then..."

I took the giri choco. That's when I realised. This wasn't giri choco.

This was honmei choco.

That meant, to Albert Obama, I was the main heroine of his story.

"...h-huh?"

This fact will forever haunt me for the rest of my life.

I went next door to C Class, finding Suzune. Last month, she gave me a honmei choco, but for White Day, I got her a giri choco. I understood her feelings, but I played oblivious like an idiot. I wasn't ready for that sort of relationship.

"Suzune?"

"Yuu! I've been waiting for you!"

Suzune greeted me with a hug. I hugged her back, and she looked at me excitedly with shining eyes. Her hands were wrapped firmly around my arms.

"So? What kind of chocolate did you get me?!"

She wanted to know whether or not I reciprocated. I really didn't want to give her chocolate now suddenly... I know that I'll be eaten away with guilt after seeing her heartbroken expression when I give her the giri choco.

Just as I was about to sacrifice one of the honmei choco I prepared for Suzune, the words of Mai this morning rang in my head. I had to have faith in the friendship me and Suzune had built over the years.

"I got you giri choco."

I took it out of my bag and presented it to her. Expecting to see Suzune's expression drop, I braced myself for the emotional impact. However, instead, she started laughing out loud.

"Ba—ka~!"

She shouted at me, smiling. Taking the chocolate, she wiped the tears in the corners of her eyes from laughing so hard.

"I knew it... ah, I guess I got my hopes up for nothing. The childhood friend never wins."

"H-hey... what's the supposed to mean..."

Suzune stuck out her tongue.

"You know exactly what it means, playboy! Now get outta my class before I kick you out myself!"

She spun round, thrusting out her long and supple legs in a spin kick to show me she was serious about using violence to force me out.

"Y-yes ma'am!"

I rushed out of class, not wanting to feel her heel dig into my face. I still had a lot of chocolate to give out. Where to next?

I guess I'll save my class for last. I headed to rooftop, sighing. Why did Emica chose to wait for me on the rooftop? It would be more convenient if she was in A Class. It would save my legs some unnecessary walking.

"Emica-san?"

"Oh, thank god. And here I thought Kutsukake-chan left me hanging."

Emica giggled. She was sitting on a bench, beckoning me over. I've seen enough anime to know where this is going. And yes, the bench was definitely an enemy in this scenario.

"I saved the best for last."

"But your bag still looks stuffed. Unless... your saving all that chocolate for me? I didn't know you liked me that much."

"That was sarcasm... although, if I did give you all this chocolate, I could probably make you get diabetes and make you die that way."

"Wow, that was a grim joke."

"Killing the mood is what I do best."

"Do you not like how romantically tense it is between us right now?"

"...not particularly."

Emica giggled, scooting closer to me, closing the gap between us. She put a hand on my thigh, near my crotch, and leaned forward, whispering into my ear.

"It's just you and me alone on this open rooftop. We could do anything here, and no one would be here to see us~."

Even though she's done this to me so often, her warm breath still tickled my ears.

"Don't forget surveillance camera-san."

I pointed to the camera on the rooftop meant to monitor us.

"That doesn't mean there's blindspots."

"...whatever proposition you have, I'm not going to accept. I'm just here to give you giri choco, like when you gave me it last month."

"Aw, shucks. I was hoping that you got me a honmei choco."

Emica pouted, removing her hands from my leg and using it to gratefully accept the chocolate.

"You'd be getting way too many of those from other guys."

"Actually, you're the first boy I've gotten choco from in my life before."

"...wait, seriously?"

"Yep! In middle school, no one gave me chocolates. Since it was my first time receiving one, I wanted it to be you who gave it to me. That's why I hid myself on this rooftop to make sure you'd be the first person to ever give me chocolate on White Day."

"To go so far... only to have a loser like me give you chocolate first? You're insane. You should've asked Ryouta to do it."

"Wow, I finally got you to admit you're a loser!"

"You're just as much as a loser as I am for never getting chocolate from a guy before!"

"But I thought you never got chocolate from a girl in middle school before either? So who's the real loser here, hmm?"

"Actually, in middle school, I got giri choco from Yukina. Checkmate."

"Yeah, getting chocolate from her is the biggest L a man can take. Wow, I suddenly feel bad getting chocolate from you... maybe I should've asked Ryouta-kun after all!"

"The amount of layered insults you can do..."

"What can I say? I'm a master at being a bitch."

"You sure are... you should probably return to class now, one of my classmates can't wait to give you honmei choco."

"It's Jun, isn't it?"

"Who else could I be referring to?"

Me and Emica returned back to our respective classrooms. When I entered class, Mitsuba whizzed by, flashing an angry expression at me, before catching up with Emica and giving her honmei choco. I'll endure the wrath of his questions later.

It seems Chabashira-sensei was absent right now, so I left her giri choco on her desk. It seems someone else had the same idea I did, as there was already a chocolate left on her desk. I had no idea who gave her it, but judging from the meticulous wrapping and thoughtfulness behind this gesture, it was probably Nora.

I went around E Class giving girls their giri choco, saving Yukina and Amou for last because it was going to be nerve wracking giving them chocolate. Though, Taiga chewed me out when I gave her giri choco. Something along the lines of me making her wait so long. Forgive me.

Between Yukina and Amou, I figured it would be easier to talk to Yukina first. Since she was sitting at her desk, I sat down at my desk and casually started up a conversation with her.

"How's your day been so far?"

"Really delicious!"

"I can imagine. I hope you don't mind me adding onto that "deliciousness", then."

I took out a giri choco from my bag and put it on Yukina's desk, like she did for me last month.

"Happy White Day. I made sure to get your favourite."

"Aww, thanks Yuu. Happy White Day to you too."

It was a short and sweet exchange, but my body was trembling when I handed her that chocolate. I was most scared of her reaction. We were close friends, so honmei felt more appropriate, but at the same time, that has a different meaning from what I intended.

Why couldn't there be a shinyu choco? Or a choco that was more than giri but less than honmei? Society's too complicated.

I got up, wandering over to Amou, who was sitting in her seat in silent reflection. Her eyes were closed and she was completely still. She kind of looked like a doll, especially with her porcelain skin and long black hair.

"Amou-san?"

Hearing me call her name, Amou opened her eyes slightly. She gazed at me lifelessly.

"Yes?"

"Just as I promised, here."

I gave Amou a giri choco.

She looked at it and smiled.

My heart started racing uncontrollably.

Amou's smile... too pure... so precious... must protect!

"Thank you."

She smoothly unravelled the wrapping and popped the piece of chocolate into her mouth, her long tongue wrapping around it seductively. After a few seconds, her throat subtly moved up and down as she swallowed the melted chocolate.

"Please stop looking at me like that."

Noticing I had just watched her eat chocolate so intensely, like some kind of pervert, Amou rightfully called me out on my behaviour with a stern tone. I meekly nodded and walked away.

By the end of the day, I had given out all the giri choco I was meant to. All I had left were two honmei choco and one giri choco in my possession.

I headed back home and packaged the remaining chocolates into two parcels: the first having one honmei choco, the second having one honmei choco and one giri choco.

Afterwards, I visited the post office in the neutral zone, where I signed some documents and shipped off these two parcels back to three girls living in Tokyo.

I hope they'll like it.
