I don't have any art, but I do have a story to tell.

So in my town there's this road we'll call route 412(for location purposes I'm not revealing the actual name). It's one of the most important roads in town, as it leads straight to one of the biggest cities in my area. However it is constantly flooding and closing, and the detour takes 10-20 minutes to go around.

So summer of 2018 they spent a couple million dollars. to raise the road and stop the flooding. It was closed for THREE WHOLE MONTHS. THREE. Really, there were some better solutions(in my opinion) but they did what they could I suppose, even though the road is over a marsh and is sinking back into the ground as we speak.

Anyway, that road flooded today.

It caused quite a problem, as you see, it's been snowing a lot and the detour hadn't been well salted. My bus usually comes down 412, comes down my road, and then back up 412.

Well not today! It went down the detour, then down my road, then back UP the detour! Fantastic, right? And that's not even the best part! We were skidding and sliding all over the place on our way into town, and then we had to make a stop at the local store parking lot to transfer a student to another bus.

Best part is I was 25 minutes late for school. Missed about half my Spanish class.

The school should have called a snow day.
