***Roman***

Roman looked around as paramedics and officers ran into the room. He blinked back tears. Holy shit.

"What's your name?" One of the paramedics asked.

"Roman." He replied quickly. (AN did I ever actually give them last names?? Shit I don't remember lmao)

"Alright, the officers are going to get the handcuffs off and we'll step out so you can throw on some pants, but we are here to rescue you. If you need any assistance let us know okay?" Roman nodded as the officers helped him out of the chains.

"My friends? D-Did you find them?"

"yes." She smiled a bit. The chains were released and Roman asked the paramedic to stay and help him so she did.

"Are they all alive?" He asked.

"Yes." She helped him up and he looked down. "Your son is being very stubborn." Roman laughed.

"Yeah, he's like that."

"Janus didn't want to leave without you." She helped him to the door and Roman looked down the hall smiling seeing Janus running to him.

"Hey kid." He held him in a hug and Janus leaned into his chest.

"I'm so glad you are alive." Janus pulled away from the hug and Roman laughed.

"You'd have to be stronger than that fucker to kill me."

"Dad's right. you are an idiot." Janus nodded to the nurse and they started walking out.

"Oh he's so going to kill us." Janus laughed.

"You think?"

***Patton***

Patton paced back and forth in the hospital waiting for them to arrive. He had gotten the call about the rescue an hour after it happened. Why haven't they arrived yet? Did something happen!? He panicked as he looked towards the door.

"Are you Patton Hart?" Patton nodded. "Follow me, your son's been brought to the back." Patton followed the nurse and almost immediately ran to Janus.

"I'm so glad you are safe." The nurse nodded and was about to leave when Patton ran after her stopping her. "I'm sorry to ask, uhm..." Patton glanced back at Janus who was talking to some officers. "Was Roman okay?"

"He's next door." The nurse nodded her head towards the closed door. "You can of course go see it if you'd like." She smiled and left. Patton looked back in the room and laughed as he turned and walked back in.

"Officers, how's Virgil?"

"They were able to stop the bleeding. No internal bleeding so there's that." Janus nodded.

"Thanks." He looked at Patton and Patton sat down. "Hey dad." Patton nodded to the officers as they left.

"Are you really as okay as you are acting right now?" Patton asked.

"You haven't seen me in what..."

"I'm sorry okay?" Patton pulled away from Janus. "I didn't mean to hurt you or Roman by leaving..."

"Yeah well he left too." Janus folded his arms across his chest. "Or did you two not communicate that to one another?"

"But I thought..."

"No. He didn't stay. Neither did you. Like we fucking promised each other."

"What I heard on the news..." Janus bit his lip and looked away.

"Can we not talk about it?"

"Oh my god." Patton gasped. "It's true!?"

"Yeah, it is." Janus sighed. "Look, I'm fine now okay? You don't have to be all up in my business. Go check on Roman, I know you want to."

"Are you sure?" Janus laughed and rolled his eyes.

"Go stupid." Patton kissed his son's forehead and got up walking to the door. He left and as soon as he was about to knock on Roman's door he hesitated. He took a deep breath. Come on....the least he could do was apologize to Roman. He knocked.
