Bangalore, India

In the heart of Bangalore, situated in an old yet charming apartment  was a bedroom light that stood out as it was still showing up brightly in orange hue in contrast to the grey shades of night sky.

The room was a safe haven for Eshanya Arora, the girl who ruled Paris fashion shows with her impeccable style quotient managing to design couture which would make the most average looking person a runway model.
Eshanya's bedroom seemed straight out a Pinterest board painted in a soothing shade of pastel blue reflecting her calm nature. The walls were adorned with delicate dreamcatchers in a contrasting white shade. In a corner of the room was a wooden dresser stand adorned with perfumes, trinkets and framed photographs capturing her well cherished memories.
The pastel blue room with its unique blend of elegance and cosiness truly reflected Eshanya's personality.

But tonight, she tossed and turned in her sleep, her face etched with distress. It was happening again, the nightmare was unfolding in her mind yet again. Her mind has been messing up with her yet again. She found herself travelling back to the cozy cafe in Paris . The smell of freshly brewed coffee and the soft music playing on the radio filled in the air.

She furrowed her eyebrows showcasing emotional distress as vague voices started playing in her mind,

'Why do you want to leave me in this situation.'
'It's your fault'
'You truly are not going away from right? Please tell me this is a joke'
'I really loved you and will forever love you and only you'

The cafe around her began to blur out, the voice started to disappear and the person's face began to fade away replaced by darkness.
She woke up with a wave of panic travelling down her spine, her heart pounding in her chest and her breathing pattern becoming ragged and irregular. She was quickly engulfed in a warm hug by a pair of hands which caressed her hair, helping her calm down.

"Here have these medicines take deep breaths beta everything will be alright I am here for you" Comforting words came from her mother Paridhi who was sleeping beside her to ease her up during nights.
" These nightmares maa they just aren't stopping" Eshanya spoke in pain as she lay her head on her mother's lap which was the only place she found solace these days.
"Patience beta tu toh strong bacha haina mera sab thik ho jayega sabr kar" Her mother kissed her forehead trying to calm her down.
As her mother spoke comforting words Eshanya drifted off to sleep once again for this time it was a peaceful one.

The curtains revealed a bright light piercing through the windows landing on her face as her mother woke her up from her sleep few hours later.

"Good morning Eshu" Her mom in her ever jovial tone greeted her making her smile.
"Morning maa" Eshanya woke up stretching every muscle in her body and prepping up her body for the day ahead.
She went inside her washroom looking at herself in the mirror assured herself to battle the memories.
She freshened up herself and headed towards the kitchen to see her favorite man, her dad cooking something.

"So chef Bhargav what are we cooking today?" She spoke imitating her French colleagues.
"Anything for my little girl" Bhargav smiled lovingly at his daughter who was sitting on the kitchen counter eagerly looking at him showcase his culinary expertise.
"There you go the perfect pancakes for my lady" Bhargav tossed a perfectly made pancake on to the plate and brought it near her mouth signalling her to taste it. She was always fed by her dad whenever he had the chance to, it's just their love language.
"That's so not done Rav, matlab dono papa beti milke mujhe bhul jao" Paridhi spoke in faux anger.
"Offo Pari idhar aao batao kaise bana hai" Bhargav fed a piece of the pancake which made her eyes go wide in surprise as she tasted them.

"Umm papa yeh jalne ki smell aa rhi hai" Eshanya pointed out sniffing in the air
All of them turned back to see a freshly burnt pancake gracing their sight making all three of them to pour water on it.
"Dekha aapne laparwahi ka natija" Paridhi teased her husband as he scratched the back of his neck and just gave her a hug as an apology.
"It's okay maa amateurs make mistakes right" Eshanya joined the teasing spree chuckling at her dad's expression and joining their hug.

Delhi, India
The sun dipped on the horizon and a warm amber glow was casted on the streets of Delhi. A young woman stepped out of a glass clad building and made her way towards the exit of the corporate park. Manyata Mathur the name card read as she punched out for the day. She slung her bag over her shoulder calling it a day and stepped out making her way towards the nearest metro station as the cool breeze hit her she pulled her coat towards herself warm up her body.

As she soon took a seat in the metro she put on her AirPods and slipped into the world of music which soothed her mind after a hectic day at work. Working at one of the major corporate banks was not everybody's cup of tea but Manyata being the one who would challenge herself and push her limits took this bold step to accomplish the one thing that she wanted to do in life.

The announcement of her station alerted her senses and she made her way through the exit and then towards her home, reaching her apartment she unlocked the door and stepped inside only to be greeted by the sudden appearance of her elder brother Naksh holding out a spatula as a mic.

"And there she is ladies and gentlemen the one and only Manyata Mathur conquering the corporate world one email at a time!" Naksh announced imitating a TV host receiving a blank expression speaking 'Are you serious?'
"Dadi dekho na yeh aapka golu mujhe kaise pareshan kar rha hai" Manyata went and hugged her grandmother who was sitting in the living room adoring her grandchild and their acts.
"You stop calling me Golu, how weird is it for a grown up man to be called golu" Naksh smacked his head.

"Offo pareshan kyu kar rhe ho ek dusre ko meri bachi abhi toh ghar aayi hai itna mehnat karti hai office mein" Kaushalya sided with her granddaughter as Manyata snuggled more into her arms poking out her tongue at Naksh making him visibly irritated.
"Main toh office mein samose talne jata hu na, also Manu abhi aayi hai go freshen up you look like shit!" Naksh pinched her cheeks making her stomp towards her room.

As the Mathur family sat on the dining table for their dinner Manyata broke the silence by clearing her throat grabbing everyone's attention.

"Papa Dadi Mamma don't you think hume bhaiya ki shaadi kar deni chahiye abhi" She uttered those words which were no less than an atomic bomb for Naksh so effortlessly that it took him a minute to process what she said and then choke on his food.
"Paani pi le golu" Kaushalya passed a glass of water to him as he quickly gulped it while Manyata and Parthiv hi fied each other whereas Nivedita shook her head in disbelief at the daughter and dad duo.
"Haa waise sahi toh baat hai golu ke shaadi ki umar ho gyi hai abhi toh" Kaushalya added making Naksh's eyes go even wider
"Mera sukhi shant jeevan dekha nhi jata na tujhse" Naksh glared at Manyata who winked at him in return trying to control her laughter.
"Hanji Parth mummyji sahi keh rhi hai we should start looking for rishtas" Nivedita diverted the complete attention towards his marriage.

Naksh the lone warrior fighting for his bachelor life versus his four opponents trying to snatch away his most priced possession.
The stakes are higher this time!

"Jo karna hai karo aap log" He smacked his face making his family burst into laughter.
"Chalo let me do a thing then I'll create a profile for you on a matrimonial website." Manyata spoke out excited.
"Ae disaster management team ki unofficial head, have some patience that's not your thing to do" Naksh kicked her leg under the table making her whine in pain as she let out a sigh of disbelief.

Manyata has always been the one who would get the most excited during any sort of planning!
She has been fondly called the head of disaster management team of the Mathurs as rightly said any sort of trouble that happens Manyata always had a solution to it albeit weird and crazy but she would always be ready with it.
