Years after being husbands, Blue and River have been living together with a small family. Well, a family of feline. As of the moment, they are living in Thailand and has three kittens. Blue was still working as a regular painter at an art musuem as his big debut while River was handling their company. They were able to buy a home that's just enough for them for their anniversary and River made a small art room for Blue for the boy's birthday.

Now that Christmas is coming, both of them were busy buying gifts and planning out their schedules. Of course, their gifts for each other are their top priority. River was generally confused with what he wants to give to Blue. He knew he wanted more than just brushes and paint. Well, a vacation was in his mind but if Blue's busy, then they can't fly out of the country.

Because of River's abrupt decisions, he bought those tickets and put them in a pink envelope.

Blue, on the other hand, couldn't think of something else other than neckties. He's been giving out neckties and bowties for years and every time he gives them to his husband, he doesn't look disappointed. He would even neatly fold and wear them everyday he goes to work. He doesn't know if paintings would do the trick. Then he goes to several research until he come across to an idea.

River doesn't know about it but Blue's been really secretive these days. He's been locking in his art room and never brought him to his room ever since a month ago.

Though, Blue would buy excessive amount of yarn. Well, he knew his husband's been into other art these days so maybe he's trying other mediums for another artpiece.

"Stop locking yourself in your art room please, hon. I kept telling this to you. I won't be able to see if you're alright," River uttered, while they were seated on the couch.

Blue giggled as he pushed the idea away, "I'll be alright. The window is always open whenever I paint and I have water inside."

"Seriously, babe, I'm worried. You don't even want me to come in--"

The boy stopped him, placing a finger against the man's lips, "I can handle myself."

The man frowned, "You sure you're eating lunch?"

"Riv, chill. I'm alright."

River groaned, "You're acting weird!"

"I always act weird!"

"Seriously."

Blue cupped his husband's face with his sweater paws, "I'm serious too, hon. Stop worrying. It'll be worth it."

River didn't want to let the topic go but Blue just got away from it with a small peck and skipped his way to the kitchen to grab a snack with a kitten in his arms. The man didn't push it anyway, maybe the boy really just wanted some privacy.

A weeks later, River still has no idea with whatever Blue was doing. He was still in work anyway so he doesn't really get to look. But if he ruins whatever the boy is planning, he'll just get really upset at River so he just chose not to snoop in.

Then Christmas eve came. They were in Blue's Thai friend's house for a party tonight. They didn't really get to stay too long since Blue was trying to drink all the champagne bottles again. Also, their cats don't have anyone with them.

"My parents are arriving later afternoon," Blue announced as he got a text from his papa.

"Ah, then we really need to prepare for dinner," River said, putting the car keys inside a box before he carried one of their kittens.

"Yep. We'll just go out to buy stuff."

"Speaking of stuff, here."

Blue looked back at his husband and saw that he was holding out a pink envelope. The boy was taken aback as he slowly smiled and cooed.

"Aw, thank you," Blue grabbed the envelope and tiptoed to place a quick kiss, "What's this?"

"Open it. And when you do, start packing your bags."

The boy opened it and took out two tickets to Switzerland. Blue's eyes widened before he looked back at River who was just widely smiling at him. He went to hug him and snuggled up. River just knows Blue likes Switzerland. Well, he just knows everything about his husband.

"I'm excited! We'll go into those cottages, okay?! I'll tell dad that we'll borrow his camera," the boy said then went to put the tickets on the coffee table, "Of course, I have something for you too. And this time, it's not neckties."

Blue went to grab his gift inside the art room with River chuckling.

"Neckties are fine," the man said as he puts the kitten down.

When the boy came back, he was hiding something behind his back. River raised an eyebrow playfully.

"Should I close my eyes?" the man asked.

Blue nodded then River did. The boy then grabbed his hands then placed his gift on his palms. The man hesitantly opened his eyes since the boy didn't say anything. When he did, he looked down and saw a neatly folded knitted sweater.

"I've been crocheting that ever since that's why I've been locking myself in because I don't want to spoil it. It's nothing really big and I know I could've given you something else but I guess I thought you'll like a sweater because it's the cold season and the office would be freezing."

River pouted and cooed at his husband. He immediately pulled him into a tight hug and seemed to be really happy. Blue giggled before the man suddenly pulled him into another kiss. The boy melted into it before they pulled away.

"I really love it, babe," River uttered and looked at the colorful sweater, "Thank you."

"I also crocheted a few for our babies too!"

Blue went to grab three little sweaters and put them to their cats. The boy carried the youngest kitten and kissed him.

"You have the same sweater as daddy now," the boy baby-talked, "You and your brothers will stay warm for winter now."

"But how about papa?" River asked, noticing that Blue didn't have sweater for himself.

Blue looked back at him with big doe eyes, "You'll keep me warm, right?"

The man took a second before he laughed then leaned in to give a sweet peck again and place a hand on the boy's lower back.

"Of course, babe."
