Chapter Two: Arrival of the Toa Mata PT 2

The loud humming and light show from Kini Nui was enough to wake everyone on Mata Nui up from their once peaceful slumbers. Even enough to gain the attention of various Rahi.

"Gathered friends, listen again to our legend of the Bionicle. In the time before time; the Great Spirit descended from the heavens carrying we, the ones called the Matoran, to this paradise."

Captain of the Ta-Koro guard Jaller looked up at the light show as the rest of the guard on duty did so as well from the walls that sheltered the village of fire Ta-Koro from the dangers of the Makuta.

The Ta-Matoran's grip on his spear tightened, "What in the name of the Pit?" he mused aloud to himself in confusion.

A Ga-Matoran who had spent the night due to the late time of her arrival and the dangers of the night on the island in the wilderness outside of the island, her arrival was to pass news from the Turaga of Ga-Koro.

"Jaller, where's Takua?" Halhi asked the guard captain. The Ta-Matoran's eyes widened in realization. "Shit!" In an instant the guard captain ran to his said friend's hut with the Ga-Matoran close behind him.

"We were separate and without purpose. So the Great Spirit illuminated us with the three virtues; Unity, Duty, and Destiny. We embraced these gifts, and in gratitude we named our island home Mata Nui, after the Great Spirit himself."

In Ko-Koro a Turaga of Ice left his hut at the rare noise of the Ko-Matoran of the village murmuring to another. As his translator, a Ko-Matoran named Matoro, rushed to his side, the sight of the light show from Kini Nui made the Ice Turaga lose whatever he was going to say.

In Po-Koro a Turaga of Stone and a shapeshifting Rahi that stood at his side stared at the light show.

"Mata Nui.." Turaga Onewa said breathlessly. "You can say that again." Krahka mused dryly aloud.

In Le-Koro Turaga Matau looked on at the sight. "Send quickword to Onu-Koro, the cave dwellers may not be nearseeing this." He told the Le-Matoran.

Thankfully enough they were seeing, but in their own way.

In Onu-Koro the Onu-Matoran looked at their cave carvings in the walls of their cavern village, more specifically the carvings with their foretold Toa as their eyes and Heartlights in the carvings glowed in their corresponding colors. Turaga Whenua stared at the spectacle that didn't require his Kanoi power to see the lights in the dark alongside the Onu-Matoran.

In Ga-Koro Turaga Nokama and the Ga-Matoran looked at the sky in awe and wonder.

"Mata Nui, it's happening." Turaga Nokama said breathlessly.

Back in Ta-Koro however;

"Their time is here." Turaga Vakama the Turaga of Fire and leader of Ta-Koro mused to himself aloud. "The Toa are arriving."

"Shit Takua!" The Turaga looked at Jaller, who the guard captain and Hahli went through a hut in panic of their missing friend.

The Turaga's Heartstone dropped to his stomach as he quickly went over.

"But our happiness was not to last, for Mata Nui's brother, the Makuta, was jealous of these honors and betrayed him. Casting a spell over Mata Nui, who fell into a deep slumber. The Makuta was free to unleash his shadows,"

"What happened?" The Turaga demanded. "Takua's not here Turaga, I think he went on one of his walks with his insomnia." Jaller said in a panic, being careful as he went through his friend's stuff not to knock over any breakable objects his friend would collect along with various other items.

The Turaga of Fire's face turned grim as he looked back at the light show from Kini Nui, his hands going to his shawl and fingers fiddling with a small charm he held in the inner pockets of it. A charm once loved then lost and found.

In depths below Kini Nui a figure loomed near a pair of torn wings, once a flawless white with some gold feathers had seen better days and hung on the wall of the dark lair with dried liquid gold almost like blood splotching then. And below the wings was a tank-like canister holding a golden figure that was in a spectral form, translucent with eyes closed as they laid with their hands interlocked and on their chest as the barely luminous turquoise liquid mixed with golden metal blood.

The figure let a claw hand rest on the glass of the canister, claws scratching against the glass making a horrible screeching sound.

On the six shores of the island six canisters washed up on the beaches, hissing as they bursted open their seals.

"Time to awaken brother, briefly, your children have arrived at last to their demise by my hands like it should've been years ago."

", and unleash them he did..."
