"HEARING HE HAD UNDERSTOOD SO FAST THAT THE BOYS HE SAW WERE FROM MY SMUGGLERS AND HE WAS RIGHT WERE WE WERE HIDING, IT CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD THEN! AND I WASN'T! LAUGHING! I ORDERED TO BRING HIM IN FRONT OF ME, SEE WHO THAT WEIRD PRIEST WAS! IF I EXPECTED HIM TO BE AFRAID, HIS NEXT ANSWER ONCE HE SAW US WAS UNEXPECTED!"

"After our boys brought him in front of us and he looked around for some silent seconds he finally said, Oh sweet! Are ya the leaders? Will ya help me my 'good boys'?" Red tried mimicking Alter's voice and Geno snorted. Same as Alter.

"THAT IRRITATED ME SEEING HE WASN'T AFRAID AND THINKING HE WAS TAKING EVERYTHING AS A JOKE! I LITERALLY HELD HIM FROM HIS NECK AND ASKED WHO HE WAS, IF HE WAS SPY OF THE FILTHY ARISTOCRATS AND HOW DID HE UNDERSTAND THE BOYS HE SAW WERE SMUGGLERS FROM MY TEAM!"

"Sheesh, why like that?!" Geno asked.

"Despite he didn't even know the whole reason why I was on their hiding spot, I couldn't blame him for being immediately suspicious of me. Indeed I could he anyone to him…" Alter said shrugging his shoulders.
"… But this, was were I first saw how the siren symbol works. He suddenly stopped yelling, let go of me, started holding his neck, breathing with difficulty and stumbled back. Not gonna lie, I had stopped smiling and looking at him worried." He completed serious.

"When I saw Edge ready to faint I ran near him and hissed at Al, Freak! What didja do?!"

"I understood they weren't common landlubbers. I lifted my sleeve, showed em the siren symbol and asked if they're by any chance sirens or mermaids."

"I RECOGNIZED IT! IMMEDIATELY I GOT UP AND GRABBED HIS WRIST TO SEE IF IT'S REAL WHAT I WAS SEEING! WHEN I GOT CONVINCED I ORDERED TO HEAR HIS STORY!"

"A lot calmer and with less electrified mood we sat down and I told Edge and Red everything about meeting your mother and her gift to me. Despite their surprise, they didn't betray, or I didn't get it that they know her."

"If we were never interacting with you and your mom and we weren't recognising her once the priest mentioned her, we might have had actually order to kill him. But he was very lucky the part mermaid smuggler leaders he found on his way knew and you and your siblings and your mom and your dad, bless his soul and I'm sorry for him too."

"After narrating they were more calm. Then they asked about how I met with their boys and how did I understand that they were smugglers. I told them also that and how I had understood their magic bracelet blockers around their wrists were fake."

"Wait. Magic bracelet what?" Geno asked confused.

"OH OF COURSE! SINCE YOU'RE GOING TO THE CAPITAL, YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THEM!" Edge said pulling a bag close to him. He took out of it a thin black bracelet and gave it to Geno, who examined it.

"So these basically, as Alter named them, block the magic? But… for what reason?"

"The monsters in Azores and Madera are free to use their magic. The islands are small, but full monster residences. However the monsters that live and have residence in Lisbon, after a… rebellion that happened some years ago, are forced to wear these. So they 'don't cause trouble' to the 'poor' and 'defenceless' humans. Obviously this is a f*cking excuse! They just manipulate them easier and make their lifes hell since a monster is weakened without it's magic."

"Rebellion?"

"Oooh lots of 'em were happening. But after that… rebellion, the damn human king of Lisbon made law that if monsters wanted to keep their residence in Capital they must wear the magic blockers. And so, monsters can't fight back easily. Cause blocking their magic doesn't only make 'em unable use their magic weapons, it drains their energy faster. Magic for the monsters, equals to the physical energy a human has. Welp, magic for a monster is a lot of things, but we're not sitting to explain what other uses it has." Red explained more.

"And what happens if a monster denies to wear it?"

"THEY'RE GETTING ARRESTED AND DIE!" Edge said bluntly.

"Oh…" Geno thought and a small shiver crawled down his spine. "… So if I wear it on my wrist I won't be able use magic right?"

"The less magic a monster has in it, the slower it would made them weaker. Since you're monster with more magic matter than physical, it would drain you. But worry not, this is a fake one." Alter said.

"But how do ya recognise it?!"

"Their whole movements were suspicious and I thought they were smugglers or anything close to it. But also I was just lucky I quickly observed on one of the boys' of Edge and Red's, that his bracelet was a little broken. The real magic blockers are much harder to break and only with special little keys guards has in their possession can open."

"How much harder?"

"HERE! CAREFUL EVEN IF IT'S LOCKED DON'T TOUCH MUCH THE INSIDE PART WHERE IT'S GOING TO HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH YOUR WRIST!" Edge handed another bracelet and Geno held one to each hand. The fake one on his left hand indeed felt rather… elastic and rubber, while the one on his right hand was very tough, like metallic.

"Wow…" Geno did and was about to wear the one on his left hand.

"Woah woah woah, hol' up! Ya wanna try it?" Red stopped him.

"I wanna see the difference. It's not that dangerous, right?" Geno asked and wore it with ease around his wrist. Immediately he felt just a tiny bit weaker. But only a tiny bit. He stretched his hand and summoned a bone. "I feel just a little bit weaker but it's still easy use magic!" He concluded impressed and took it off.

"That's normal. The fake bracelets doesn't drain your magic, they only hide your magic level and strength. Also something real blockers are supposed to do. If ya feel tired and weak just a tiny bit as ya said, it's not something to worry. Very useful, especially if ya interact with monster guards. They can sense magic energy much easier." Red said.

"Monster guards…" Geno remembered Captain mentioning them.

"MONSTERS WITH THE JOB TO PATROL AROUND CAPITAL ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT DOESN'T WEAR MAGIC BLOCKERS! THEY MIGHT BE MORE CAREFUL AND NOT ACCUSE LIKE THESE HYPOCRITICAL SKUMS CALLED HUMANS BY THE FIRST SECOND, BUT ONCE THEY UNDERSTAND YOU'RE CRIMINAL OR ANYTHING, THEY'LL FINISH YOU!"

"If these monsters don't have bracelets why wouldn't they-?" Geno went to ask.

"Try turn against the humans? Oh Geno, how much you're still clueless about the world we're living. These monsters are obligated and threatened. These monsters might actually be in an even more hard situation than any normal monster civilians…" Alter prevented him. Geno looked at him surprised.

"… Even if they have a little more rights, same for the monster aristocrats, this doesn't make them truly free. Their freedom is controlled by the humans. Any move from them that betrays they're doing something behind humans' back and proven, will doom them. And the saddest is that many of these monsters are being guards from fear, cause they don't want to be target for the humans…"

Heavy silence filled the atmosphere between them, not focusing on the sounds of the wind and the dolphins' noises.

"Say… after narrating to Edge and Red how ya got the symbol and what happened with the smugglers ya helped them slip from the human guards, what happened?" Geno broke the silence.

"HM, RIGHT! IT IMPRESSED US HOW A PRIEST LIKE HIM HELPED MONSTERS CONSIDERED CRIMINALS AND FROM OUR TEAM! NORMALLY, WHICH LEADER WOULD ACTUALLY CARE IF THEY LOOSE SOME MEN?! CARE FOR EACH MEMBER NOT TO GET CAUGHT, NOT TO DIE, MATTER IN ANY WAY?! WELL NOT WITH ME! I'D RATHER KILL THEM MYSELF THAN LETTING THEM IN THE HANDS OF THE HUMANS!"

"Really?" Geno asked surprised.

"Don't think it's much of big mercy and 'caring'. The majority of humans and monsters in our days tends to believe caring is stupid! In this life lil bro, many times ya can't trust not even your own shadow easily. If these boys of ours were getting caught and later on, opening their mouths to the humans through torture, or promises that they will get rich, or their lifes will be spared if they betray and tell where their team is hiding cause their will and loyalty wasn't strong enough, we would be possibly done…" Red said very serious. But when he looked at Alter he smiled a little.

"… Speaking of trust however, ya can give it with every magic cell of your body to the old man Alter. Don't worry, even if he's with pirate's side, his intelligence, kindness and friendship will save your bone butt from all dangers in Lisbon."

"I've realised it the few weeks I'm with the pirates. Don't worry Red."

"TALKING ABOUT SURPRISE WHEN HE TOLD US HE WAS MEMBER OF THE CREW REAPERS!"

"They were grateful I helped their men from their team. They asked me what I want in return. I started saying I need to return somewhere. At first they seemed to have no problem. But when they asked where do I have to go and I told them the crew Reapers they looked at me as if I had crawled out of Antichrist's realm."

"Ya put it so accurately." Red commented.

"And then they started yelling at you about being with the pirates and what is wrong with you and blah blah blah?" Geno asked.

"Short of, they just weren't happy at all they had to help a priest that was actually pirate, return to his crew. Despite smugglers and pirates are on the same path, they don't really like interacting with each other in any way, nor make deals." Alter said.

Geno remembered the sour expressions all pirates had. Edge and Red's glares as they were staring at all pirates and the expressions them and Captain changed as they exchanged words for only a short while. Both sides seemed as if they wanted to separate as fast as possible from each other.

Welp this kind of changed once the 2 smuggler leaders saw Geno and from excitement forgot that they were hating the pirates' guts, despite being also part mermaids. Dang, they weren't even paying much attention to them as long as they were talking with their little step brother.

"And what happened and eventually ya 2 changed mind?" Geno asked.

"THE FIRST FAVOR WE OWNED IT BECAUSE HE HELPED OUR MEN BUT ALMOST DOOMED IT BECAUSE OF HOW ALTER'S FAVOR SOUNDED! HOWEVER FOR THE SECOND FAVOR, I NORMALLY OWN HIM MY LIFE!"

"Come on Edge, don't exaggerate." Alter cut him.

"NO EXAGGERATIONS! IF IT WASN'T YOU, THAT ASSASSIN, PROBABLY SENDED BY THESE SKUMS HUMANS, WOULD HAVE STABBED ME!"

"An assassin?! But how would he be able find your hiding spot?" Geno asked surprised.

"Assassins are from the most well trained, even better than soldiers and the way they train is secret. Not only they're capable fight with and without magic, they are observant, intelligent, know when to keep low profile and they're amazing seekers. But they will do nothing without high payment. They're something like… short of legal criminals. They don't give themselves to anyone they don't belong to anyone. Nor humans not monsters can trust them and they're mostly motivated from gold. That assassin that almost killed Edge, we didn't learn who sended him cause I killed him almost immediately. But we can only assume he was payed by the high class to find where the Red Fangs are hiding, kill us and betray our hiding spot." Red said laying back and looking up to the sky.

"He came out of nowhere. As Edge and Red were yelling and hissing at me with hostility, I saw at the very last moment a figure like shadow approaching with high speed, towards Edge. Without second thought I pushed him away and… well… I was again extremely lucky the knife found me on my shoulder and not on my soul."

"Oh God" Geno whispered and his iris dissappeared as he was looking at Alter shocked.

"I WAS GOING TO SAY SOMETHING TO ALTER FOR PUSHING ME LIKE THAT WITHOUT WARNING, BUT SEEING THE ASSASSIN ABOVE HIM HOLDING THE KNIFE THAT WAS STABBED ON HIS SHOULDER I COULDN'T!"

"With a sharp bone I pierced the assassin's head and next with telekinesis threw him in the sea near." Red said.

"I… had fainted from pain." Geno gulped and unconsciously clenched his shoulder, feeling phantom pain in there imagining the moment.

"And… then?" He asked.

"I was unconscious for a couple of hours but when I found my senses my shoulder was bandaged and I wasn't feeling much pain. And when I looked around I realised I was on boat, open sea and travelling fast. Edge and Red were sitting near and when they saw me waking up they approached."

"And after some silent seconds Edge said-." Red went to say. Edge pressed with his hand Red's head down.

"SHUT UP!" He growled.

"Edge come on, thanking me for saving ya isn't something bad." Alter said calmly. Edge looked away with a loud HMPH!. Geno chuckled.

"After what happened, we put aside every hostility we had for him…" Red started the narration again. "… and we asked him how from the pirate ship he ended up to Capital."

"An act of hostility crewmates still had, especially Dave and they made it to make me be left behind when we did an attack to a little village far away from the central town. They took me quite by force. The cavalry somehow found us and I didn't prevent to follow the pirates back to the ship. I prevented only hide from the soldiers by climbing on a near tree with many leaves. It saved me from being seen. Even if my appearance wasn't saying I was with pirates, I didn't have magic blocker and even if my sleeves were long enough to cover my wrists, if anyone wanted to check me from closer, no matter what excuses I would give, they would arrest me without dialogue. And so, when the humans got far away enough I climbed down, knowing I had to stay away from them if I didn't wanna get caught. I thank the Lord I survived 1 whole week without anyone noticing I didn't have magic blocker and until I left. After finishing, with a little bit more sympathy Edge declared that for helping our men return safe and for saving him from the assassin he had 2 favors from us. With the first being return me back to my crew."

"BUT WITH THE TERM HE WOULDN'T TELL THE OTHER CREWMATES THAT WE HELPED HIM! THIS WOULD STAY ONLY BETWEEN US, RIGHT?!" Edge turned to look at Alter. Who chuckled.

"I agreed with the term and that I would make another story to cover it. And then I asked how was I gonna return."

"That tiger Dave said about dolphins carrying ya. Sooo…" Geno tried to conclude.

"We ordered some dolphins under our commands take him back to Reapers and make sure nothing happens to him on the way. And so, we said our goodbyes, Alter climbed on a dolphin's back, he thanked us and welp, farewell priest!" Red said. "… Though I'm kinda curious to know what happened after all those. Once your crewmates saw ya alive swimming with the dolphins."

"Oh their reaction was so funny!" Alter said and laughed quietly remembering. "… The dolphins luckily found the ship when the sun was about to start diving under the sea. I was looking ahead and I could see Michael's head as he was looking somewhere else. And so, to get his attention I yelled YOOOHOOO! Immediately his head turns to my direction, sees me between the dolphins and his surprise was impossible to hide. He immediately starts yelling, Guys guys! Priest Alter!, and in seconds many pirate heads were looking at my direction from the gunwale as if they were seeing a ghost. Dave seeing me he yelled OH SH-! THE PRIEST IS ALIIIVE?!"

Alter might did not say the whole swear word but the emotion he put, the tone of his voice and the way he changed it made his imitation of Dave's voice so good, Red wrapped his arms around his tummy wheezing loudly, Edge covered his mouth snickering and Geno, welp, same with Red but plus he was snorting like a piglet.

"After the first surprise…" Alter continued trying to keep his quiet laughter down. "… Markus ordered to drop ropes and help me climb up to the deck. When the dolphins stopped next to the ship's side and I grabbed a rope pirates dropped, I turned and said, thanks for the ride my sweet creatures. Take care. Tell your bosses ya can have extra fish."

"Which we did." Red said.

"And when I was up to the deck Captain approaches me and after looking at me for some good seconds surprised, he finally says, First sirens returned ya safe and sound, now dolphins?! What even happened?! How didja survive?!, I said there a quick story that Lord was merciful with me and He sended dolphins to carry me and helped me escape Capital."

"Called it he would include Lord." Geno thought smiling lightly. But then something hit him. "And the stab wound?! Everyone saw at least that your cassock might be ripped on the shoulder, didn't?! What story ya said about it?" He asked.

"Ah, correct, even Dave observed fast. I simply said I had a little… misfortunate encounter with a thief while trying find a way to escape. After that, to make everyone leave me alone and not make more questions I gave Dave my glare and 'supposedly angry' I said, now if ya excuse me I'm really tired after spending 1 Cursed week in there. So thank you for the concern but I don't wanna think about it for at least… till next morning. Ciao!. And so I went to actually sleep it off and gotta say, it was one of the nicest sleeps I've ever had after going through whatever I've been in Lisbon."

"WOW! THESE PIRATES ARE TOTAL JERKS TO YOU!" Edge pointed out. "DO THIS TO YOU IS JUST CRUEL! ARE THEY STILL LIKE THAT?!"

"Aaah, not much like years ago. They all have their ups and downs, they all are tough but in reality, others more others less, they have a good side."

"Imma believe that. After all, that reminds me of someone who although looks cruel has a very soft spot for animals, has more than 10 of them as his real pets cause he pitied them-." Red went to say.

"SHUT UP RED!" Edge yelled again smacking the back of his skull. Despite the hit, Red chuckled, same as Alter and Geno again.

"Sons, sons! No need for violence, c'mon!" Alter said cheerfully and calmly.

"Yeah Edge baby bro. That with his own hands feeds milky his little favourite cute pet kitty Doomf-" Red went to tease again.

"CUUUTE?! FOR THE LAST TIME! DOOMFANGER IS NOT CUTE, HE'S A DANGEROUS BEAST!"

"Hah! Prove it!"

"OH YOU ASKED FOR IT! THAT'S IT! DOOMFANGEEER!" Edge yelled. Suddenly from behind him a white cat about 1 year old jumped and looked at Edge meowing cutely.

"Ello." He meant with the meow.

"Aaaw." Geno thought. But then realising how Edge named him he chuckled. Such an adorable creature and he called it... Doomfanger!

"Ps ps ps, eiii kitty kitty!"
Red did and chuckled.

"YOU WON'T BE LAUGHING AT HIM ONCE YOU SEE THE NEW COOL MOVES HE RECENTLY LEARNED BY ME!"

"Sons, please." Alter said calmly but there was now some concern on his face. Well, the fact he had also started crossing himself was betraying his concern.

"And what did he learn? Making biscuits?" Red mocked again.

"ATTACK!"

The cat suddenly from cute and adorable went berserk mode.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! TAKE YOUR F*CKING SH*T BALL OFF OF ME!" Red yelled as Doomfanger was hissing, growling and meowing loudly while scratching like crazy Red's skull. Geno flinched shocked.

"Oh Lord and his son, these 2…" Alter murmured as he was looking up to the sky keeping crossing himself. He suddenly stretched his arm, brought with telekinesis the cat on his lap and wrapped both arms around. Doomfanger didn't try break free from Alter's embrace but just kept hissing at Red, who's skull was now full with scratches.

"DOOMFANGER! ENOUGH!" Edge commanded. All of a sudden Doomfanger calmed down, he didn't have the hostile expression he had before and meowed cutely again. Unconsciously Geno started crossing himself too.

"Jesus Christ, devil cat." He thought.

"Ya shouldn't continue. Ya were like little kids!" Alter said scratching Doomfanger's chin, who was now purring loudly.

"Technically for skeleton years, despite being adults we're still with kid's mentality a tiny bit…" Red said as he was pressing on his wounds a cloth with iodine on it. "… Geno is 21, the youngest in this boat. And ya priest, despite being older than us, you! You're the one who acts more like a kid!" He complained. Everyone chuckled.

"Where didja find... Doomfanger?" Geno asked. There Doomfanger jumped off Alter's lap and approached Edge.

"LAST YEAR IN CATALONIA! BUT I DIDN'T FIND HIM! HE DID! WHILE PREPARING TO LEAVE, I SUDDENLY SPOT HIM WALKING TOWARDS US, LIKE A JUMPY RABBIT'S DIRT HE WAS THEN! HE LOOKS UP TO US AND ASKS IF HE CAN JOIN!"

"Such a waste of time! I said at first." Red said rolling his eyesockets. "What should I do with it? Can we kill it? I asked. At the same time I was this close then to kick him and send him to the other side of the world. But then Edge, picks him up brings him close to his face and looks at him very serious and thoughtful. I thought there for a sec ya were gonna eat him." He continued turning to look at Edge.

"WHAT?! EW! WITH OR WITHOUT FUR WHY WOULD I EAT HIM?!" Edge asked.

"Oh I know. Cause the Amazing and Terrible Edge deep inside loves fuzzy wuzzy little cute thin-!"

"HE'S NOT CUUUTE!" Edge yelled furious with his face changing color from embarrassment and anger. "DON'T SAY THAT AGAIN! HE'S A BEAST! A BEAST RED!"

"Oooh, sooo beastly!"
Red kept mocking.

"DO YOU WANT DOOMFANGER PROVE IT TO YOU OTHERWISE AGAIN?!" Edge asked. This time the tables turned and Red pantomimed that he was zipping his mouth.

"I THOUGHT THAT HE WAS GOING TO BE VERY USEFUL! IF HE COULD WORK AS SPY FROM THE LAND AND GIVE ME EXTRA INFORMATION ABOUT THE ENEMIES' MOVES OR HEAR CONVERSATIONS FROM CLOSE I COULD HAVE BIGGER ADVANTAGE! SO, I DECIDED TO KEEP HIM AND TRAIN HIM! AND I NAMED HIM…!" Full with excitement and pride Edge lifted doomfanger (like rafiki did with baby simba). "… DOOMFANGER! THE BEAST THAT WOULD BRING TERROR TO OUR ENEMIES!"

Geno chuckled and Edge got mad again.

"WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING TOO GENOCIDE?!"

"Because…" Geno started trying to stop laughing. "… I can't help but think it's great Doomfanger found an amazing and terrible master, being leader of the smuggler team people fear the most, but at the same time he's so lucky to be by your side. I mean, he seems to feel so comfortable around ya, he's not scared of the sea if he follows his master everywhere."

"BUT OF COURSE! I'M THE BEST BOSS EVER!"

"Yeah, ya treat animals better than actual humans and monsters." Red interrupted. Suddenly Doomfanger jumped on Edge's shoulder and to his surprise, the cat licked one time his cheek.

"Mrrreow! Mama is the best."

Immediately Geno's irises dilated and looked at now flustered Edge with awe.

"EeeeeeEEEEE! He called ya mama!" He said and Alter next to him fought to stop laughing. Red was laughing louder.

"SHUT UP ALL OF YOUUU!" Edge yelled trying to control his embarrassment but failing. "DOOMFANGER NO! NOT MAMA! MASTER! I'M YOUR MASTER!"

"Master in business, mama when on break and with papa Stwetch!"

"NO! NOT WITH THAT LAZY SACK OF BONES STRETCH EITHER!" All this time Geno was translating what Doomfanger was saying to Alter, making the priest unable to stop chuckling. As Red explained right after, him and Edge were on relationships. With 2 brothers, like them.

Edge was together with Stretch, an also tall skeleton who if he was shortly described negatively first, he would be described as a rather chill and lazy… short of alcoholic smoking chimney, like Red. But actually caring. Alas if you were angering him, especially if something was to happen to Edge or his brother Blue.

Blue was the total opposite of Stretch, Red's love. Hardworking, taking things seriously, energetic, impossible to see him sitting down often and avoiding smoking and alcohol. In vain he was trying to get Stretch and Red stop smoking. Unlike his brother he was willing everytime to fight if needed.

But like his brother again if you were angering him by harming whoever he cares the most, even running was nearly impossible save you from his wrath. They became 2nd leaders for the Red Fangs after Red and Edge taught them how everything works in the team, how to close deals and have businesses in other islands.

Even if they didn't like much at first smugglers' life, they got used to it and had the luck, or bad luck, like and develop feelings for the current leaders, Stretch for Edge and Blue for Red. And the other way around. Their first meeting was 5 years ago when the 2 were captured and accused as 'spies'.

Not really, they were just at the wrong place, at the wrong time. However instead of investigating them and instead of having dialogue and only with 1 minute council between Red and Edge they were immediately boarded in their boat, the biggest one from all other. Reason?

"We wouldn't let them go and we would forbid them use magic, with real magic blockers. Taking them with us without a word by the first second we saw 'em and keeping them even by force, was one of the most spontaneous things we've ever done but today not really regretting. Not only we didn't understand at first, later on we both tried deny we… heh, caught feelings…" Red said flustered looking away and rubbing the back of his skull."… For 6 whole months. We somehow managed break the ice between us. *sigh* This stubborn mermaid nature we have…"

"Aaaw, how sweet." Alter said cheerful.

"SILENCE PRIEST!" Edge growled with his skull ready to explode.

"Nevermind, he's still denying it." Red said again. Edge would have slap Red's skull off again if Doomfanger wasn't preventing to meow:

"When can I have little siblings mamster?"

Twass. Edge covered his face and started yelling-growling embarrassed. Red was literally yelling from laughter while Geno was translating again with his arms around his tummy. Alter was just surprised at first but then started shaking his head left and right with crossed arms.

"IT'S STILL TOO EARLY TALK ABOUT THIIIS!!!" Edge yelled. Doomfanger then turned at Red.

"Ok fine. When can I have little cousins?" He 'innocently relentless' asked Red, who's skull turned to a big cherry. Geno translated again and Alter facepalmed.

"Mreow? What's so bad talking about babies? By the way, where do babies come from?"

"STOP ASKING QUESTIONS!" Red yelled and together with Edge kept being blushing mess.

"I've kinda interacted with Stretch and Blue when leaving from Capital and after gaining consciousness…" Alter started, looking down smiling chilly. Geno turned his attention to him. "… They didn't tell me, cause then we barely interacted, but after hearing from Edge and Red just a while ago, I can tell that despite the sudden kidnapping they went through, they're very satisfied into the smuggler's life. Happy to have meet, even in a very sudden and surprising way Red and Edge. And they appreciate each other, they're comfortable."

Geno listened thoughtful and looked down too, pressing hands on his knees.

"I thought I knew… Turns out I understand nothing…" He thought shaking lightly his head left and right. "Caring? Show affection, yes. Easy with my family. But towards others outside family? Towards a… lover? How? Why? What determines if you want these? How… Red and Edge decided they just needed someone else in their lifes?"

"Is everything ok son?" Alter next to him asked. Geno  was probably thinking so intensively Alter observed it. But suddenly a loud hawk screech filled the atmosphere. Doomfanger jumped off Edge's shoulder and hid between his legs meowing worried.

"Hawks are scawy!"

The hawk landed on Edge's shoulder where Doomfanger was before. These shoulders had big space, the vest was weird made on the sleeves, they had big surface. But convenient, as Geno thought if a small animal wanted to stand comfortably.

"WHAT IS IT?!" Edge asked who had calmed down. The hawk leaned it's head closer to the skeleton's ear hole and seemed to whisper something. Edge was listening carefully, nodding sometimes.

"BRILLIANT!"

"Wait until you hear the worst news master Edge."

"WHAT WORST NEWS?! SPEAK!" Edge commanded. The hawk this time didn't whisper.

"Bad luck. It's this month where the monster guards from Azores are commanded to patrol Capital. And they're settled there only 3 days now."

"SH*T!" Edge and Red yelled at the same time. Geno didn't, but he had understood the situation.

"What's wrong son?" Alter asked, now worried too.

"Monster guards. From Azores." Red prevented Geno and he was looking at Alter very serious. Alter flinched a little but he seemed to keep his chill well enough.

"It's ok. It's ok. I might did not pass a week in Lisbon then, while monster guards were around but if this time I have to, we'll still make it with Geno. It'll be a little bit more difficult. But nothing much…" He slowly leaned forward intertwined his fingers and resting his chin there he looked far away thoughtful. And very serious.

"What is he thinking?" Geno thought but didn't say anything. The rest of the journey was silent and only the sea, the wind and the dolphins that were dragging the boat were heard.

who knows what's waiting for alter and geno in capital? how will they plan to survive, plus with the monster guards around? the next chapters have the answers close. but before ya go, i really need your help with something.
