The next morning Rose awoke to Hermione shaking her as if every human life depended on Rose Black waking up immediately.

Rose rolled over onto her stomach, pulling a pillow over her head. "Leave me alone Mione! It's too early!"

Hermione yanked the pillow away, uncaring about Rose's groan as she began to hit her head with it.

Then she began to speak in between hits of the pillow, "You-"

*hit*

"Will-"

*hit*

"Get-"

*hit*

"Up-

*hit*

"Now!"

Rose threw her hands up for protection before Hermione began speaking again, "It is eight fifty-five Rose!"

Those words made Rose jump up so quickly she almost fell off the side of the bed, looking up to find Hermione stifling laughter.

With a another loud groan of annoyance, Rose rushed to grab her uniform and headed to the bathroom. She realized none of the boys were in the dorm, making her mutter curse words about how it was possible for Theo to wake up before her as she did everything from washing her face to lazily throwing on mascara.

"Mione!" Rose yelled from the bathroom, her voice making Hermione jump.

"What Rose!"

"Can you hand me my tights and a pair of those mary-janes?"

Hermione threw the door open and tossed them in, "Way ahead of you and for the love of Merlin stop yelling so loudly!"

Rose shot her a cheeky smile while pulling up the tights and slipping on the shoes, buckling them quickly while rushing past Hermione out of the bathroom.

She grabbed her school bag before hurrying to the door, only to look over at Hermione grinning even wider in amusement.

"Salazar Mione, we are going to be so late! Why are you just standing there?!"

Hermione let's out a huge fit of laughter while walking over to the door Rose held open and ducking under her arm.

Rose began to quickly yank her down the staircase, "What is up with you?! Did you accidentally eat one of Blaise's brownies?!"

Rose's confusion is quickly ceased as Hermione manages to push out her words amongst the laughter as they reach the common room, "It's only seven thirty Rose!"

The Slytherin gasped, pushing her friend away with a pointed finger. "You tricked me! And you woke me up at the crack of dawn!"

Hermione continued with laughter as she looped their arms, forcing Rose out of the common room as they garner odd stares from Slytherin house members, some about their antics and others whispering about Rose's murderous father.

When the two arrive at the Gryffindor table, Harry and Ron are already there scarfing down food. Rose forcefully untangled herself from Hermione before dropping down beside Harry, Hermione reluctantly sitting beside Ron with a look of disgust.

"Seriously Ron! You eating habits are horrid!"

Ron gave Hermione a glare while wiping his mouth as Rose searched the table for coffee like a rabid animal, Harry taking notice and sliding a cup full in front of her. With a grumble she took it, Harry laughing under his breath with the knowledge she wouldn't socialize until caffeine was in her body.

After chugging it all quickly and gaining the feeling of refreshment, Rose looked over and began ruffling Harry's hair. "How is my favorite scarhead on this lovely morning?"

Harry grinned while staring her away, "Just lovely, how is my favorite snake this morning?"

Lazily, Rose slung her arm around Harry's shoulders. "Hear that Mione, I'm moving up in this world"

Hermione shakes her head as Ron stays lost in his daze of eating when suddenly Rose's arm is taken off Harry, but before she can look for who did it-two warm hands cover her eyes.

"Hmmm let me guess....I smell cinnamon and coffee"

Theo smirks down at her, "That would be correct love"

She removed his hands before looking up with a wide smile, taking a moment to admire his way of always letting his tie be loose. "Sit your arse down Teddy-I missed you so much"

Theo let's out a deep laugh as he sits himself beside her, pulling Rose closer to him by sliding an arm around her waist.

Whitman dropped down next to Hermione, tiredly rubbing his eyes as Seamus Finnigan yells from a few seats away. "Oi! Go back to your table snakes!"

Rose's eyes drifted over with a resounding yell back, "Shut it Finnigan or I'll set peeves on you!"

Seamus visibly gulped and averted his gaze, Rose internally satisfied until she looked at Whitman and Hermione. "Not going to tell your best friend good morning, are you?"

Whitman adjusted the green tie around his neck impatiently, "Why are we sitting here? Can't we go to our table?"

Hermione clears her throat, wanting to avoid an argument between Whitman and the two male Gryffindors with the knowledge that Rose only sat there to be close to herself. "You two only just saw each other last night, how can you miss each other? Not to mention you room together!"

Whitman laughs at the question directed at Rose and Theo while picking up a blueberry muffin with distaste, "You know they have a weird bond, sickening how obsessed they are with each other"

In the most lovesick way, Rose and Theo smile at each other and lean further into one another.

Whitman speaks with exasperation, "See! Look at them!"

Hermione giggles, "Oh shush-like you aren't the same way Whit"

Whitman's lips twitched before he had to hear Harry's voice changing the subject. It wasn't that he despised the Potter boy for no reason, what made him angry was the simple fact Rose was always being dragged into whatever war Harry had going on with Voldermort since arriving at the school. Even with her changing houses second year and barely seeing Harry, somehow she still became involved each time.

"How's the snake pit this year?"

Theo speaks lazily with zero interest as he weaved his free hand into Rose's under the table, "As charming as it always has been Potter"

Ron grunts with the decision to finally join the conversation, "More like as horrible as ever"

The three Slytherin's along with Hermione shoot him a glare as Harry just laughs quietly. Rose could only smirk after coming up with a thought, "Ron, don't be angry that Mione spends more time at Slytherin house than in your own sodding common room"

Ron chokes on his pumpkin juice, flushing red. "I don't care what Mione does!"

Rose and Theo raise their eyebrows in unison at his obvious embarrassment over his crush being outted, making him scold them loudly.

"And stop doing things in unison it's bloody creepy!"

Every single person sitting with them burst into laughter except for Ron as he grumbled and Hermione who held a guilty look on her face that made Rose roll her eyes.

There was a reason Hermione felt guilty, but in her best friend's opinion she shouldn't feel such a thing. Hermione was a lesbian, there was no way around it and it wasn't her fault she felt zero attraction to men. Ron didn't know and no one else besides Rose did either, Hermione wasn't ready to tell the world while existing in the nineties with no gay rights in her muggle society.

Hermione needed something else to focus on, "Well, let's see your time tables then"

Harry began to slide his along with Rose's across the table, the latter going wide eyed.

"You didn't even tell me you had mine Harry! And why? Why do you have it?!"

"You hadn't had coffee yet then your boys came so I didn't have time to" Harry shrugs, "Mcgonagall swiped it from Snape to give to Hermione so you could do your comparisons but neither of you were here"

Rose grins at the name given to Theo and Whitman before nodding her head laying on Theo's shoulder, "What classes do we have together Mione?"

"Well we all have the same schedules, must be Slytherin and Gryffindor together again this year except for your potions class with Ravenclaw"

"Thank Merlin!" Rose groans, not even realizing how many classes are on Hermione's parchment because Theo's fingers kept brushing over her knuckles lovingly.

Then Theo released her hand, despite the mutter of protest-which quickly turns into a smile as he pours more coffee for her.

Rose leaned up, kissing his jaw shamelessly as she grabbed the cup. "This is why you're my favorite wizard"

"Oi! Just make out already!" Ron says with annoyance at the Slytherins still sitting with them.

Rose's eyes roll, the hiding of her feelings too easy from the years and years of practice. "Don't be envious of our healthy friendship"

Theo gulps, his throat bobbing as he casts his eyes away, getting sympathetic smiles from Hermione and Whitman. Although the latter's look holding more than just sympathy, understanding as well.

Rose was quick to change the subject, the rest of breakfast flying by in a rush. When the time came for their first class, Divination, Rose had jumped on Theo's back. He rushed them throughout the halls and up the staircase freely with laughter until they reached the steps up to the trapdoor-Draco Malfoy blocking the pathway with a smirk and his two goonies beside him.

Rose groaned as Theo sat her down, Draco speaking with a condescending tone.

"Good morning Black-almost hurt to say you didn't join me for breakfast"

She rolls her eyes while pulling the cherry wand out of her robes and pinning her hair sloppily back with it, "What do you want Malfoy?"

"I want nothing from filth like yourself, tell me...how is it being the deranged daughter of a murder treating you?" Draco spat with the intention of keeping up their usual behavior as Crabbe laughs and Goyle looks simply sympathetic.

Rose turned to the side, stomping her heel down onto his leather toed shoes. The sheer force of her mary janes colliding down made him behind over, Rose seizing the opportunity to smack his head harshly.

"Pretty fucking nice you imbecile" Rose proclaims before grabbing a laughing Theo's hand and dragging him up the stairs and through the trap door.

The Divination class had tons of small, circular tables were crammed inside it, surrounded by chintz armchairs and fat little pouffes. Everything was lit with dim, crimson light; the curtains at the windows were all closed, and the many lamps were draped with dark red scarves. It was extremely warm, and the fire which was burning under the crowded mantelpiece was giving off a heavy, sickly sort of perfume as it heated a large copper kettle. The shelves running around the circular walls were crammed with dusty-looking feathers, stubs of candles, many packs of tattered playing cards, countless silvery crystal balls and a huge array of teacups.

Naturally the Slytherins and Gryffindors took to opposite sides of the room, Rose dragging a lazy Theo to a front table in the middle where Blaise sat with Whitman who was twisting his rings around slowly while gazing up at the ceiling.

She stops them by Harry and Ron's table to speak, "I thought Mione was supposed to be in this class?"

Harry shrugs in response, Rose pinching her brows together as she continues on, dragging Theo until they reach Blaise and Whitman.

"Ello' Mister Blaise" Rose said, winking at Theo as he pulled out her chair before she dropped her bag onto the floor with a bang that made Neville jump in surprise to the left of them.

Blaise gave her a look to signal his annoyance at her not joining him for breakfast like usual, Rose propping her head up with a hand in challenge. It made him smirk before responding, "Morning you beautiful tosser"

Rose began to respond, being cut off by Sybil Trelawney's airy voice. The Divination Professor sat in a wide throne chair, directly in the center of the room with her bug eyed glasses making her appear wild, "Welcome my children, in this room you shall explore the noble art of Divination...In this room, you shall discover if you possess the sight!"

The ending of her words were spoke in a shout, startling everyone in the room except for a minor few like Rose, Theo, Whitman, and Draco. All of them were used to the sudden and constant yelling in their homes.

Trelawney began to stand with a rush, "Hello! I am Professor Trelawney! Together we shall cast ourselves into the future!"

Rose's eyes widen in amusement as she shares a glance with the three boys at her table, "She's most definitely something, isn't she?"

Before any of them can give a reaction, the professor continues on. "We shall be focusing on tea leaves this term, so please take the cup of the person opposite of you after drinking it!"

After waiting for the awful tasting tea to cool, each of them began to drink until they were left with nothing but small bits of leaves in the bottom of the cup. Rose exchanged her own with Theo, Whitman and Blaise doing the same beside each other.

"The truth lies hidden like a sentence within a book! But first you must broaden your minds...you must look beyond!" Trelawney shouts excitedly, grasping onto Seamus's head and shaking it at the end of her sentence.

The voice of Hermione Granger comes out of nowhere, much louder than meant to be from the silence floating in the room. "What a load of rubbish!"

This actually makes Rose jump, confused on where she came from until spotting the golden chain tucked under Hermione's Gryffindor robes.

A timer turner.

That's my girl, Rose thinks proudly.

Suddenly Trelawney begins to rush towards the table where Rose and the three Slytherins sat at, making each of them look at her oddly except Theo's eyes which remain dead while raising an inquisitive brow.

"You boy!" The professor points at Neville next to them, "Your grandmother, is she quite well?"

Neville looks over, locking eyes with Rose as terror contorts his face. "Uh, I-I think so"

"I-I wouldn't be too sure of that!"

Rose's lips twitch as Theo murmurs in her ear about the professor reminding him of herself after five cups of coffee, but their moment is ruined by Trelawney slamming her hands down on their table and sticking her finger directly at Rose.

Draco could be heard laughing with some Slytherins while Rose swats the hand away as if offended by the closeness of the professor.

She was in fact, offended.

"And you girl!" Trelawney put her finger back in Rose face, shaking it reverently. "Beware of a blonde-headed man!"

Rose gave the professors hand one more swat while her eyes grew wide as she began to look right where Draco sat with his eyes matching her own, the knot in his throat visibly being swallowed.

Trelawney rushes away from them, heading over to the opposite side of the room where Lavender brown sat but Rose could only focus on the gleaming blonde-headed boy staring at her from a high level in the room.

Rose kept attempting to push past Draco's Occlumency walls, him giving in after a few tries to let her speak into his mind. "Beware of a blonde man?....What in the name of Merlin does that mean?"

As Rose lets her own Occulmency, her stomach did a flip to see that annoying perfect smirk work back onto his face while he responds in her mind. "Maybe your going to fall hopelessly in love with me Rosie"

What if I already am? Rose thinks to herself, but makes sure he can't hear those thoughts.

Occulmency was tricky, many layers and many ways to hide things.

She scoffs at the assumption, beginning to glare harshly at him. "Not in this lifetime or the next will I love you"

On that note she puts her trained walls back up, hurriedly turning her gaze back to the table to find all three boys looking at her expectantly. "What?!"

Blaise throws up his hands in defense, not feeling like dealing with a snappy or angry Rose as Theo just pulls her hair closer while wrapping an arm over her shoulders. She huffs while relaxing into him, Whitman snorting to himself at her frustrated state. And against her better judgement she glanced up at Draco, finding the blonde rolling his eyes and crossing his arms.

It was unfair in his opinion, to love someone so much and them to despise you with everything they have. He always teased her about loving him, thinking maybe some sign would change his depressing thinking snd show him she did in fact never stop feeling such for him. But that's where their problem lies, Rose's defense mechanisms were so perfectly crafted by her grandmother that not even god himself could see through her.

But she did love him, she was more than just hopelessly in love with him.

As the professor had done the whole class, she suddenly begins to yell frantically enough to gain everyone's attention while standing by Harry. "Oh-Oh dear boy...you have...you have the grim!"

The class looks around confusedly as Seamus speaks loudly, "The grin? What's the grin?"

Bem, a Gryffindor say in the back of the room, begins to scold his fellow housemate. "Not the grin, the Grim you idiot"

Rose laughs without a care, forcing heads to snap towards their group as Theo stifled a low laugh before Bem continued on, "Taking form of a giant spectral dog, it's among the darkest omens in our world. It's a omen of death"

The finisher of his sentence sends Rose over the edge, her laughter growing at the 'boy who lived' having a omen of death as her classmates look at her as if she's crazy.

Well, that wasn't too unusual actually.

People often looked at her like all the screws in her brain were loose.

Sara Langley, a third year Slytherin, yells from a few seats over where Draco is sat at the top. "What?! Are you crazy?! Why are you laughing about one of your friends having a omen of death!" Rose looked at the girl unimpressed, having no time to retort as Sara stands and points. "She's just like her deranged father!"

This amused Rose, not used to anyone daring to talk in such a way to her with the terror she pulled out of people.

Trelawney couldn't put a end to the soon to be fight as Rose beats her to it, speaking almost too calm with a smirk. "Talk about my father again bitch and I'll show you just how deranged I am"

Theo raised his brows, a middle finger going up directly to Sara with a shoulder squeeze in reassurance to Rose before the professor gasps loudly at them both.

"Detention Miss Black and Mister Nott for your foul language and usage of hand signals!" Trelawney turns to face Sara while adjusting her goggles, "And you girl...what's your name?"

Sara smiled, feeling a sense of victory over the notorious pair. "Sara Langley ma'am"

Trelawney shakes her head before speaking clearly, "Your hateful energy will be the death of you!"

Sara copies the professors gasp of real shock, a few of the classmates laughing at her reddening face as Whitman gives Rose a look of sympathy she waves off.

Trelawney stares around the classroom worriedly before shouting, "Uh-Class dismissed! Class dismissed!"

Rose doesn't need to be told twice, ripping herself away from the Theo and yanking her bag off the floor before elbowing past people to rush out of the room before anyone can catch up to her.

The walk Rose made to Hagrid's hut was rushed with the need to avoid conversation, proving unsuccessful as two large presences settled themselves on either side of her. Their long legs and towering heights made it easy to keep up with her fast pace as she ignored Theo and Whitman's stares, keeping her eyes trained forward while walking down the grassy hill.

"Don't try to ignore us Ro" Theo says softly, looking down at Rose as if he could read her mind.

"Unless you want to be tickled into speaking I suggest you look at us" Whitman adds with a sly smirk on his face.

Rose paused, students walking by them as the flood of third years headed down for their class. "I'm feeling rather ravenous for a fight right now so unless you both want to be hexed into next year I suggest you leave me alone"

Theo starts to join Whitman in smirking, making eye contact with a silent communication that makes Rose aware of what's coming. She huffs, pushing by them with urgency to leave before it can happen.

But fails, being swung up onto Theo's shoulder with ease as the two boys chuckle at her and resume the walk to Hagrid's.

"I actually despise both of you now"

Theo begins, "Well we couldn't let you pout over someone as insignificant as a Langley, could we Whit?"

"That wouldn't be very much like our Ro, Theo"

Rose's eyes roll, "I'm not pouting I just want to be alone in silence"

Theo and Whitman begin a conversation, completely ignoring her to give Rose the requested silence in a mocking way.

She begins to prop her head up on Theo's back to clearly see the direction she's facing before digging her elbow into his back with force.

He yelps, "What the hell was that for?"

"For ignoring me you bastards!"

Theo lays a harsh smack to her behind, making the passerby's give them the same odd look both received when he did it in the great hall last night.

Rose gasped, struggling in the process but nevertheless laying a even harsher smack to him in the same place.

"Oh now your gonna get it" Theo says loudly.

They are about thirty feet away from reaching Hagrid's hut when he places Rose down and lunges for her, the girl immediately taking off in a sprint without the precaution that she was likely to twist her ankle in those heels.

Rose and Theo weave and bob through the mass of students. When passing the golden trio of Gryffindor, Hermione Granger can be heard yelling in mortification for her best friend to stop.

But of course, Rose didn't listen nor did she ever. Once she reached Hagrid and jumped up onto the door steps he was standing at, the burly man began to speak. "What' ye' running from Rose?"

Suddenly an out of breathe Theo appears, Rose latching onto Hagrid's arm as her shield. "You can't hide with Hagrid forever Ro"

Rose looks up at Hagrid with a smile as the man chuckles at them, Theo adjusting his bag while trying to catch his breath. "Watch me Theodore! I will gladly live here with him and Fang!"

Hagrid pats her on the back a little too hard for her weight to handle, making Rose stumble forward slightly. "Whoops! Sorry Rose!"

Rose laughs it off, stepping down to come face to face with an disappointed Hermione beside Theo.

"You could've hurt yourself running down that hill between everyone! That was very irresponsible!"

Theo grins at me and raises his eyebrows, making Hermione suddenly turn to him. "And you! You are just as much to blame for almost injuring her!"

Theo's grin drops in confusion, not believing he put her at any risk. And Rose can't resist the urge to smile sickly at him while throwing up her middle finger behind Hermione.

Out of no where, Whitman bumps into Theo suddenly red faced and breathless as well. "That is it! You two are being separated for twenty four hours! I've had enough of you both to last a lifetime!"

Hermione nods firmly in agreement, "Thank you Whitman! I completely agree!"

As if, Rose thinks.

The Black heir takes Theo by the arm with a scowl, refusing to let anyone separate them for more than ten seconds. "Is it just me or are they the same person?"

Theo looks both over with judgement, his teasing tone matching Rose's. "So much alike it's freaky"

Hermione and Whitman both huff in unison, making Rose and Theo laugh loudly at their point being proved right before she grabs his hand. Rose began pulling him away at the realization they had all been too wrapped up in conversation to notice the class being led into the forest.

With the pace of her movements, Rose and Theo ended up towards the front line of students, somehow stopping behind Draco with his two followers and Pansy trailing behind as if waiting for any ounce of attention.

Rose nodded her head at Pansy, leaning up to speak to Theo. "She's like a chihuahua, thinks being close by might get her a word or two spoken"

The suspecting laugh never came as Theo furrowed his brows, "What's a chihuahua?"

"Purebloods" Rose huffs out, eyes rolling.

"Oi! Says the pure blood! Not my fault I don't have a muggle-born best friend to tell me about those weird things"

Rose laughed, not wanting to tell him regardless he wouldn't know. Theodore Nott was one of the most genius human's she knew, that is unless it came to common sense.

"It's a teeny tiny dog, Teddy. Real desperate for attention and acts all scary but truthfully are like five pounds" Rose says, reluctantly taking her hand out of his and grabbing the monster book out of her leather bag.

Theo follows suit with a slight pause, still traumatized from the attack he and Whitman dealt with when the books were first bought.

Hargid's deep gruff voice yells out as they near a padlock, "Form eh' group over by the padlock an' open ye' books to page forty nine!"

"Exactly how do we do that?" Draco spats, Rose and Theo sharing a look before rolling their eyes.

If there's one word to describe Draco Malfoy it would most definitely be 'Drama Queen'.

Hagrid whips around, speaking as if it was the most obvious instruction in the world. "Well, just stroke the spine, of course" he chuckles before speaking under his breath, "Goodness me"

Rose let's her slight laughter erupt, stopping suddenly as Draco strokes the book-sending a uncomfortable chill across her skin.

Theo pushing her forward brought Rose out of her daze caused by the blonde, "Salazar what's up with you Ro?"

Rose clears her my throat, "Nothing, nothing"

Theo lips pull up as he drags her over to a rock where they watch Neville fall, his monster book attempting to attack him.

Rose had to elbow Theo harshly as his musical low laughter rings out before she reached down to help Neville up.

Draco speaks harshly while passing by, "Don't be such a whimp Longbottom"

Neville starts to breathlessly wipe his chewed up robes off as Rose drags him up, "Thanks Rose...I don't know where my book went though!"

Rose raises her eyebrows, looking down at her feet. Neville follows her gaze, spotting his book pinned tightly under her right shoe.

Neville nervously chuckles while picking it up, hoping it doesn't start attacking again as Rose points at the spine with one of her long finger nails while looking over at Draco's smug face.

"Incendio" she whispered, wandlessly making a small fireball head straight for Draco.

Rose smiled at Neville after, grabbing onto Theo's hand and pulling him to a large group of rocks this time. It gives her the perfect view to see Draco trying to find out who burnt his leg, bringing her enjoyment.

Hermione happens to be close by, pulling Harry and Ron towards Rose and Theo. Upon greeting Ron continues grumbling about the book, Hermione retorting firmly.

"I think their funny Ron!"

Rose looks up to find Theo's face riddled with disbelief, recalling the way his attack happened for the third time since pulling the book out that day-he just wanted this class to end.

Of course, Draco can't help himself as he annoyedly watched Harry smile at Rose.

"Oh yeah...terribly funny! Really witty!" Draco scoffs before continuing, "God this place has gone to the dogs, wait until my father hears that Dumbledore's got this oaf teaching classes"

After his words Draco looks over with a smile at Crabbe and Goyle as they laugh, and Whitman has to groan as he walks away to Rose-refusing to be apart of what he knows is coming.

Theo watches Harry begin to turn around, it makes him bend down to Rose's ear to whisper. "Here we go again"

"Shut up Malfoy!" Harry shouts.

Draco, Goyle, and Crabbe all chorus together a response. "Oooooh"

Right after Draco drops his bag onto Crabbe's arm like a servant, making Rose roll her eyes at the action with her lips involuntarily twitching.

He is so fucking smug, Rose thinks.

Draco steps forward while wearing a huge smirk, making Harry step forward too.

"Sure you don't need your protector for this Potter?" Draco asks, looking over at Rose.

Theo throws his arm over her shoulders as she holds up her hands and speaks, "I want no part of this stupid masculinity game"

Hermione used her hands to cover up her face and hide her laughter as Harry and Draco both turn to stare down one another. The latter steps forward for only a moment before jumping back and pointing up at the sky with a fake shaky voice, "D-Dementor! Dementor!"

Harry jumps in terror while whipping around to look into the clouds, and Rose flinches into Theo's arms even more as the class follows Harry's movements.

Rose let's out a rush of air to see nothing there, the sound of Draco laughing and somehow Pansy Parkinson as well. When everyone looks back at them, the three all have their hoods up with hands held out.

"OooooOooOoooo" they say, Pansy joining in on their movements-making Rose cringe and stop her annoying admiration of Draco's infuriating presence.

That's actually so embarrassing for Pansy, Rose thinks.

Rose shakes her head and points her wand at their feet, sending a wave of fire to hit all four sets of shoes while Hermione grabs Harry and turns him back around, giving them all a 'fuck you' face.

Theo snatches Rose's wrist, pulling it down quickly. If she got detention then he would, and then Whitman would, and then Blaise-it was truthfully just create a painful ripple affect.

But Pansy saw the wand and yells out, "You! You burnt us!"

Rose laughs humorlessly, "Next time I'll make sure to aim for your face"

Pansy gasps, wincing at her burnt feet as Draco and Crabbe throw Rose annoyed looks, meanwhile Goyle appears guilty as can be for the second time that day.

Theo puts a hand over Rose's mouth while flashing everyone a actual scary glare, spinning them around. This makes Rose huff and remove his hands off, taking her wand and twisting her hair back in a low but sloppy bun.

Rose looks over at Neville as they reach the rocks in front of them acting like a table, just as she is about to speak Draco walks up-making Neville run quickly out of fear.

He takes a bite out of his usual green apple and looks over at her, both ignoring the pick up of their hearts as she forces a scoff and grimace out.

Rose has to avert her gaze, looking for Hagrid to bring her out of the way her head buzzed at his proximity before she feels Draco lean down towards her ear. "Thought I'd grace you with my presence, I know how hard it is for you to go all day without me"

It takes everything in her to shove him away, stomping on his foot in the same way from earlier that day-grabbing onto his icy locks and pulling his own ear to her lips. "Next time I'm aiming for the center"

Despite Theo and Whitman's protest, Rose shoves Draco away and quickly walks in search for Hermione again. Once reaching her best friend, Rose slings an arm around Hermione with a huff. "I almost avada'd myself standing next to that twat, why does he instant to be in my space twenty four seven?"

Hermione fights the urge to roll her eyes with the knowledge she has. Before Rose and Draco started whatever act each do now, Hermione would have to hear all about Rose being in love with both her best friends like a lovesick puppy. But for the sanity of Rose Black, Hermione settled for scolding the comment made. "Do not say that Rose! It is not funny and is considered a sensitive topic!"

"I think it's pretty funny Mione" Ron says sheepishly with a rub to his neck.

Rose shot him a grin, pulling Hermione closer and laying her head atop the curly-headed girl's.

Hagrid finally reappears with the Hippogriff, Rose almost the only one not gasping, well aware this was in fact Buckbeak.

Hermione noticed her dramatic, animal-loving friend not squealing with excitement. "You went to Hagrids last night without me!"

Rose shrugs as Hagrid steps and gestured to the creature while cheering, "Ta-Da!"

Buckbeak makes some sort of bird call, Hagrid speaking again in awe. "Isn't he just beautiful?!" He throws Buckbeak a ferret before continuing, "Say hello to Buckbeak!"

"Hagrid, what exactly is that?" Ron says wearily.

"That, Ron, is a hippogriff! Now first things ye' want to know about hippogriffs is they're very proud creatures. Very easily offended! Ye' don't want to go and offend one, it might very well be the last thing you do!" Hagrid claps his hands together, "Now! Who'd like to come and say hello?!"

Rose quickly takes her arm off Hermione and steps forward, the entire class taking two steps back except for Harry.

"Well done, Rose and Harry, Well done!" Hargid cheers, "Come on now!"

Harry turns around quickly before looking at Rose, the latter rolling her eyes as she latched onto his arm sleeve while dropping her school bag. "Oh don't be a ninny Harold"

"Now you have to let Buckbeak make the first move!" Hagrid instructs as Rose forcefully drags Harry along, "So you step up give 'em a nice bow, and you wait and see if he bows back! If he does you can go on and touch em'!"

Rose instantly stood still and bowed, leaning down low and staying in that position while Harry barely lowers himself. On instinct Rose pulls him down with her, not feeling like getting attacked because of his idiotic brain.

But then Harry stumbles over a stick, making Buckbeak flap his wings rapidly and rear back.

"Back off Harry! Rose stay where ye' are!"

"Now keep still!"

A few moment of thick silence pass before Buckbeak bows, Hagrid chuckling in relief as the class lets out a rush of air.

Rose smiled widely at Hargid, sitting up straight with Harry.

"Now come on! Give him a pet!"

Where the rest of the class stood Whitman spoke harshly to Theo, "I swear to Salazar if we have go jump in front of a bird-"

Theo cuts him off, "Then we will but It's Ro, Whit. Animals love her"

Rose walks forward patiently, "He's beautiful Hagrid!"

When she reached the creature, her hand goes out-Buckbeak sliding his beak under the cold palm. Then the class starts to clap, making Rose look for Harry, only to find him with wide eyes a few feet behind.

"Potter! Move it before you have to bow again!"

After her demanding words Harry steps up, Rose having to latch onto his wrist to make him pet Buckbeak with her while muttering, "You can face Voldermort but not a bird? Pull yourself together!"

Hargid doesn't hear this, only filled with glee at the moment happening. "Well done! Well done! Amazing!"

"Can we ride him Hagrid?" Rose asks, making Harry and every other person present gasp or have their eyes go as wide as Harry.

"Of course! I reckon he should let ya'!"

Rose giggled under her breath, walking to the side of Buckbeak. Hagrid reaches out as she sticks her heel into the creatures wing, helping Rose sit down with ease. The experience is much different for the Potter boy, getting picked up by the waist from Hagrid despite his shouts of protest.

"I don't think it's a good idea Hagrid! Rose should just do it!"

Hagrid throws Harry down behind Rose, "Nonsense Harry! But be careful to not pull out any feathers, he won't like that!"

Rose laughs as Harry goes to protest again, "No no I-I-"

He's cut off as Hagrid smacks Buckbeak's behind, making Harry stop mid-sentence and throw his arms around Rose's waist frantically as Buckbeak starts to take off in a run.

The Black heir simply grins while grasping onto the neck of Buckbeak as they take off into the sky.

The two flew all around Hogwarts with Harry squeezing her so tight she was concerned passing out might be in the future. When they finally got over the lake, Rose tried her best to pry Harry's death grip off of herself.

"Harold let go this instant and look!"

He reluctantly let go and sat upright, Rose spreading her arms out with a sigh as the wind rushed by. From the reflection of the water as Buckbeak's toe dipped in, she could see Harry copy her actions before giving in and joining the laughter.

When finally reaching the padlock where the class and Hagrid waited, Harry attempted to steady his breathing embarrassingly. As soon as Buckbeak came to a full stop on the dirt, Harry jumped down, almost running back over to Hermione and Ron.

On the other hand, Rose slipped off and petted the animals before dizzily walking to Hargid-wrapping her arms the most she could around his large waist. "Oh Hagrid it was amazing! That's one more animal off my list!"

Hagrid patted her on the back with a smile, "You did wonderful Rose!"

Rose joined his smiling before letting go and beginning to walk back towards a smug Theo and a worrisome Whitman.

Two opposite people.

Her plan was foiled as Draco bust through the crowd of students, Rose side-stepping with raised brows.

"Yes. You're not dangerous at all, are you, you great ugly brute?!

Rose's gut drops and her protective instinct kicked in without a shame of worrying about keeping her fake hatred up as she ran to grab him, only turning out to be too late.

"Malfoy!" Hagrid shouts worriedly as Buckbeak rears back and swipes a set of his claws across Draco. He hits the ground and lands on his back, Buckbeak rearing backwards to do more damage for the insults.

At this moment, Rose didn't have a excuse for her actions nor any logical reason as to why she did what she did besides the word love.

Stupid stupid love, Walburga said it would kill me, Rose thinks.

So without a moment of hesitation, Rose steps in front of Draco's body. The claws coming down onto her quickly, swiping across her shoulder but she can't seem to feel the pain-immune to any sort in her body.

She keeps standing, holding an arm out to the creature to hopefully keeping him from going again because if there was one thing she knows for sure-she'd be damned if anyone thought she was moving away. "Calm down Buckbeak!"

Hagrid joins her in saying the same thing, frantically grabbing a ferret to toss far off. After a proud huff of air from the bird beak, Buckbeak begins to back away and rush to the dead ferret.

Rose clutched her chest in relief, turning around to look at Draco at the same time as Hagrid.

Draco rolls on his back slightly, being dramatic as ever. "It's killed me! It's killed me!"

Upon noticing he will be perfectly fine, Rose rolls her eyes, bending down to his level to scan him over. "Calm down, it's just a scratch Draco"

"Hagrid he has to be taken to Madam Pomprey" Hermione says, talking ten times faster than she usually does at the idea of Hargid getting in trouble for all of this.

Hagrid nods quickly while reaching down to scoop him up, "Class dismissed! Class dismissed!"

Rose sighs heavily, hiding her worry perfectly as she stands. "I'll grab Draco's stuff and meet you up there Hagrid"

"Good deal Rose" Hagrid responds, and Rose can faintly hear Draco saying something about a 'bloody chicken'.

She shakes her head, quickly beginning to walk away and towards the students when Draco starts calling her name over and over.

"Rosie! Rosie!"

Rose huffs and looks back at him in Hagrid's arms, "I said I'm meeting you there!"

After, she rushes to grab his bag and her own, the entity of the students looking at her as if this is the proof she's really lost it.

Unbeknownst to her though, the real reason is the blood seeping through her whole shirt from the shoulder gash.

As she grabs his bag, Rose shoots Pansy a glare for sitting near as if protecting Draco's materials before grabbing her own. Whitman and Theo both were rapidly rushing towards her and talking but Rose couldn't hear, only aware of the fact she had to get to the hospital wing-quickly.

With that in mind, both bags were slung on her shoulder before taking off in a run.
