Mk so I confused myself so Ima sort it out here. Nurses metal arm is her right, your left. I confused myself cause I like to draw character designs first then stuff so yeah.... letz go.))

You gently ran your fingers over the smooth metal. Not looking for anything in particular, just admiring the craftsmanship. Your fingers grazed over each joint in the hand, all made with a careful touch. Nurse had her arm laid down on the table watching you examine her extremity, Goat stood on the other side of the table watching intently at each move you made.

"So, what exactly is the problem with it?" You questioned opening the small compartment on her lower forearm

"Well, I'll be working on something, then it will start twitching out and spasming and I can't hold anything or make any precise cuts." Nurse explained moving her left arm you spotted a small bump in her wrist

"What exactly were you doing?" You asked pointing around in the jumble of wires in the compartment

"Umm..." she brushed some hair from her face, "Generally its when I'm working with medical equipment, like the Defibrillator. Sometimes it's when I mix some stuff up for the sick (y/n)s or ones with medical problems." She explained

You nodded absentmindedly. You tugged on a wire which caused her wrist to bend slightly. You nodded to yourself and continued to toy around in the wiring. You soon figured out the problem and fixed it, at least for the equipment part.

"Ok so I fixed your arm to the equipment standpoint, with the medicine I saw some residue had leaked in. Probably through your finger plates or something of that nature. So that's how the wiring was getting messed with." You chuckled to yourself, "You're oh so sensitive! But until I can get a good one on one work in with your arm, just put a glove on over it when you work."

You closed the compartment and Goat reactivated her arm. Nurse clenched and unclenched her fist a few times. She marveled at it then looked up to you.

"Why is it easier to move now?" She asked her eyes bright

"I might have made a few twiks to the wiring to make the arm more sensitive to your commands." You shrugged slightly

Nurse smiled at you and said she had to get back to the med bay. This left you and Goat alone. You hummed slightly wandering towards the computer and mess of parts. You picked up one in your hand and explained it.

"A flux-capacitor." Goat stated as she lifted another part from the ground, "A key part to make a portal, still haven't figured out how to do it.

You placed the part on a table and looked towards the computers. You pressed your fingers to your chin slightly, pondering.

"Can I see your equations you're using?" You asked walking towards one of the computers

Goat quickly nodded and rushed to the computer. Her fingers were a blur on the futuristic keyboard but soon the screen filled with massive lines of code.

"Code lines for a portals we managed to download when we stole these parts." She explained

She left you to scan over them. She started moving parts around as you pulled up a chair and studied the codes  filing up the screen. You felt a small smile pull at your lips. This was your environment, this is what you took a semester or two on in college. Codes! You interlocked your fingers and pushed outwards creating several popping sounds from your knuckles.

After a few hours of reading and editing codes Goat came and looked over your shoulder. Her goat like eyes grew wide.

"H-how did you do that so fast!?" She questioned reading the edited and added codes

"Well it's easy once you read the codes, it's all in a pattern.." you started off on an explanation the author sure as hell doesn't want to write to yeah

~Lab Rick pov~

I grunted slightly as the goddamned machine zapped me. Another stupid project from the Rick Council thAT WAS NOT FUCKING WORKING!!! I heard a hesitant knock on my lab door.

"What do you want (y/n)!?" I growled turning my head towards the door she was peaking through, "Can't you see I'm working!?"

"W-well, Rick, I've got your favorite sandwich so you can eat if you feel like it." My (y/n)s eyes, at least her good one, focused on the sandwich on the plate she held, "And there's an alarm going off in the den."

I walked up to her and took the sandwich, I took a large bite and groaned in content, I swear if this woman wasn't here I'd never eat, "That's a damn good sandwich." She bushed some hair from her face my eyes focused on the uncovered electrical scar on her cheek, I still hate myself for harming such a kind girl, "So which alarm is it."

"Umm.. I believe it was the one fifth from the door tenth from the floor and is flashing blue..." she trailed off and leaned back looking into the den, "Update: it is flashing green now."

I choked on the delicious sandwich my lovely made for me. That was the little "rebellion" of (y/n)s monitor. Green... I didn't think they could ever get to the green... I gently placed the mangled sandwich onto the plate (y/n) still held. I bushed some hair from her face. She flinched away from my touch. That sent a pang into my heart, I made her afraid of me. There's no time to focus on that right now! I walked passed her and into the den. Yup, the (y/n) monitor was flashing green.

I swept over to the monitor and started checking on their systems. Everything else was the same, but the lines of code from the intergalactic transportation hub was different. My eyes widened. Whatever (y/n) was working on it knew to much, to much on how to code and was getting to close to knowing to make  how a portal.

"(Y/n)!" I called staring at the still changing lines of code, "Get the council on the line! We have a problem!"
