Mercy's POV

I struggled at the chains as I tried to get them free from the ground. I was trying to make as little sound as possible so whoever kidnapped me didn't hear.

"It isn't worth it. These chains are stuck." A voice said. I looked up but all I saw was darkness.

"Who said that?" I said.

"Oh where are my manners (omg lol Eret quote!) I'm Lenny." He said. I still couldn't see him because the hallway outside of my cell was lit by a dim torch. "What about you?"

"What about me." I said.

"Your name what do you think I was talking about?" He responded.

"I'm Mercy. And there's no need to get snippy with me."

"Sorry I'm just grouchy I've been in here for a little while." He said with a different tone then before.

"How long is a little while?"

"2 days. They've barely fed me and I'm hanging from chains on my arms." He said. A sudden wave of fear washed over me and gave me the chills.

"My chains are on the ceiling but I can put my hands to my waist." I said and wiggled my chains.

"Then he's changing his methods. You have to be careful."

"How am I supposed to be careful I can't go anywhere!" I snapped.

"Easy. You're stressed I can tell." He stated calmly.

"Yeah I am I've been kidnapped!" I shouted. After that there was a bang on an iron door.

"Keep it down in there missy!" A guard shouted. I sighed and sat down on the floor.

I need to find a way out of here.

Hiccup's POV

I was walking in the woods, looking for anything that was left behind in the woods that could lead me to Mercy. I was at the beach where Allysa said the ship docked.

"Hiccup go home you haven't slept since she went missing." Someone said from behind me.

"And I won't sleep until she's back." I replied without turning around.

"Hiccup you're basically my brother and I'm really concerned about you. Not sleeping really isn't healthy and you won't be able to think straight after a while." Allysa said as she sat down next to where I was sitting. I sighed.

"I'm just worried. More then worried. Even if I tried to sleep I wouldn't be able to knowing she's on some enemy island or ship as a prisoner. Probably being used as bait to get to me." I said and layed back in the sand.

"Hiccup, go home and rest. I'll search here for clues and if I find anything I'll come to you." She said and pulled me onto my feet, then pushed me towards the direction of the village.

"Okay okay I'm going I'm going. Bring me anything you find!" I said as she walked back over to the shores.

Allysa's POV

I was pacing around the shores and staring at the sand. I haven't found anything yet. I was concerned for Mercy's safety but also I was concerned for Hiccup. He won't eat, he won't sleep. All he does is search for clues. I found the handle of Mercy's bow half-buried in the sand. I picked it up and noticed they carved something into it. It was a Viking skull with a sword through the top. I whistled for Violet and we took off towards Hiccup's house. We landed after about 5 minutes and I ran to the door and knocked repeatedly until Astrid opened it.

"Oh hey Allysa. Hiccup is upstairs if you have anything for him." She said with a sad tone.

"You need to see this too Astrid." I said and puller her up the staircase. I knocked on Hiccup's door. He flung it open with wide. blood-shot eyes. "Oh Gods you haven't done any resting have you?"

"None what did you find?" He asked.

"The handle to her bow, it's got a symbol carved into it." I said and pulled out the handle, then pointed to the symbol.

"I've never seen this symbol before. Hiccup have you seen it?" Astrid asked.

"No but I'm sure there's something in that book of tribes Gobber gave me." He said and ran to the forge. Astrid and I followed closely behind.

"What book?" I asked as we ran into his office at the forge. He flung himslef onto his stool and started leafing through the pages.

"This book contains details on all the tribes we've ever had contact with. It's all the details and history of all the tribes." Hiccup explained.

"That explains why it's so thick." I said under my breath.

"I FOUND IT!" Hiccup exclaimed. "They're called the Destroyers. It says that they have conquered 5 tribes in a matter of 2 weeks. And that's how they got their name." Hiccup said.

"They sound really scary." Astrid said. "We need to find where they are."

"Is there anything in that book that can lead us to their island?" I asked.

"Well there is a map." He said. "But it isn't a very nice map." He said and flipped the page.

"Is it still usable though?" Astrid asked with a panicked tone.

"Oh yeah I can just copy it into my journal and it'll look a little nicer." He said and brushed the loose dust off the map. Dust flew around the air, making all of us sneeze.

"Ugh gross why is it so dusty?" I asked.

"Well this book has been on this island for quite a while. I'm surprised the cover is still on it." He responded. "It's been given to every chief of this island."

"Okay well let's get that map copied down and we'll set out after you've had some rest." I said and walked out of the forge and towards my house.

"Allysa wait!" Hiccup shouted. I stopped and turned my body to face him while he walked to me. Once he finally reached me, he gave me a hug. I was a bit startled at first, but then hugged back. "Thank you. I mean it." He said.

"Hey no problem. Anything for the chief that saved my life, and gave me a new one." I responded. He released me then walked back to the forge. I smiled then turned my feet towards the direction of my house.

Mercy's POV

I woke up with a jump when I heard the clanging of chains. I ran to the window and looked out at what was happening. There was a boy my age being dragged into a cell, all chained up. He struggled against the guards and chains, but soon gave up and let himself be locked into one of the cold dungeon cells across from me.

"Welcome newbie." Lenny said.

"Ugh Lenny really he just got imprisoned be nicer." I sassed.

"It's okay I'm used to guys like him." The boy across from me said. "I'm Cody." He said. I couldn't see him, but when he was being draggoed he seemed a bit small. "What about you?"

"Mercy. Do you know who kidnapped us?" I asked.

"Sadly no, I was knocked unconcious during my kidnap. Do you?"

"No but when I was being taken it looked like the leader had blonde hair and hazel eyes. Then, they put a sack over my head."

"Sounds like yours was rough. What about him?" Cody asked, hinting at Lenny.

"Well to start I'm Lenny, and I was unconcious until I was put in the cell." He said with a grouchy tone.

"Lighten up Lenny. More people, the more chance we have to get out of here." I said. I heard Lenny sigh. "But first we need to figure out who put us in here, and why."

Astrid's POV

I was sitting in a chair at the table, reading, when Hiccup walked in.

"Hey did you finish the map?" I asked and placed my book on the table.

"Yeah. It's kinda far." He said with a tired tone. I looked at his face and he had bags under his eyes, dark circles and looked like he was about to fall over.

"Hiccup go to sleep please you'll never be able to rescue her like this." I begged. He gave me a slow nod then went upstairs. I turned around and looked at the map. It's in an area that's surrounded by hostile islands. If any of our ships go through there they'll be blown to bits. And the dragons would have to fly above the clouds and we don't have enough Vikings brave enough to go that high. I sat down and thought for a second.

"Do we have a map on where this island is?" Fishlegs asked as he shut the door behind him.

"Yeah. It's far and surrounded by hostile islands. The dragons would get shot down and they would sink our boats." I explained with a sad tone.

"Well there is always one ship that can go into enemy waters without being sunk." He said cryptically.

"Who?"

"Johann. He's visited every island in this book and continues to go to those islands. He can hide a small army in the deck of his ship, and we can have us above the clouds on our dragons." He said with a smile.

"Actually that could work! Oh Fishlegs you're a genius!" I shouted.

"Well I wouldn't call myself a genius." He said. "Where's Hiccup?"

"I forced him to sleep so he's upstairs. I don't know if he's sleeping though." I said and started to walk upstairs. Fishlegs followed a few steps behind. I peeked in through the door and saw him lying face down on the bed, head buried in the pillow and wrapped in the blankets. I turned around and shut the door quietly. "He's asleep." I said as I faced Fishlegs.

"I figured. We'll tell him about the plan when he wakes up, but for now, let's tell the others." He said and we walked downstairs and out of the house.
