Ada Johnson's P. O. V

With jittering nerves and shaky hands, another pile of papers is deposited onto Gregory's secretory's desk. Jamie raises a dark brow at me as she takes me in from head to toe, scanning each and every article of clothing while delving deeper into my facial expression as she then furrows both her brow.

"You feeling okay darling?" She coo's in her motherly tone while I nod my head enthusiastically. Not sure if I'm trying to convince her or myself I'm regards to my state of well being. Trying to place a smile onto my face, I ignore how it comes out shaky and just hope for the best. Instead, I'm met with an unamused expression as the woman goes into mother mode and immediately lurches up from her seat. Before I can even get a word in edgeways, I'm being grasped onto by the crook of my arm while she lugs me down the hall and into the first room that greats us with the door wide open.

It barely registers within me that we have stepped foot into the photocopying room, the place void of people with the only things being present are the few chairs scattered inside along with a half dying plant and the huge machine that is currently barely working properly leading to mist of us having to go down a level so that we could use theirs.

Closing the door firmly, Jamie turns to me, worry plastered all over her face as she steps closer to me and putting both her hands on my face to assess me all over. "Don't say you're fine Ada. You look like you've seen a ghost. Look at you," she mumbles as she raises my shaking hands, "You're shaking like a leaf." Jamie tries to steady my hands while I take in deep breaths, wanting to calm myself down.

"I'm just being over dramatic Jamie. Trust me." I want to speak aloud in a bold and confident voice, however, my voice comes out as shaky as my hands and cracks in the middle.

After that phone call, I thought I'd be able to handle it. Giving the entire thing time will help. Time heals all wounds doesn't it? Wrong.

The longer the time went by, the more fried my  nerves became till not even I could think about the situation before I started to freak out why led me this stage. Stupidly enough, I thought focusing on my internship and getting back to work would help me. Regardless of how busy the day has been, I can't escape the nagging at the back of my mind not the swirling pit embedded dip into my stomach.

"No you're not Ada. If you don't want to tell me  that's fine but just try to relax." The woman tries to assure me, getting me to mimic her deep intakes of breaths followed by a deep exhale. Soon enough my mind clears up and I feel much more relaxed than before. However, my jittery hands still continue to tremble for reasons unbeknownst to me. "It's better than no-,"

I frown at the door opening, Jamie's own facial features crunching up as she gets ready to yell the hell out of the person standing in the door way but instead clamps down on her mouth as we both take in our boss standing in the door way. Gregory himself looks taken off guard as he switches his gaze from me to Jamie and then quickly back again, his lips parting before he shuts them as he takes in the scene in front of him.

I don't get a change to speak up as his eyes zero in on my hands clasped in Jamie's, the many sauntering forward in the next second with worry running amuck on his face.

"I've got this under control Jamie. I'll handle it." He says with no room for disruption to the woman who pauses, giving me a quick once over before nodding and sending me an encouraging smile. Once she walks out of the room with the door firmly shut behind her does Greg turn his attention to me.

"You okay baby?" He ushers softly, not giving me chance to reply as he pulls me into his arms, a swift kiss being placed on the crown of my head as I wrap my own arms around him. "I'm fine." I mumble back, nuzzling my head into him while also dispelling all thoughts of appropriate workplace behaviour. Gregory holds me in his arms for a few minutes, not breaking the silence until I pull back, his blue eyes shining with worry as he cups the side of my face, placing a soft kiss on my lips which have me sighing out in relief. Loving the taste of his lips against my own.

"Ada. It's alright. We agreed on talking through this together. I don't want you to get overwhelmed although if you feel like I'm intruding, I'll step away and let you deal with it." He says earnestly, his endearing actions causing warmth to blossom in my heart but also the pit to deepen in my stomach.

"I don't think I'll be able to deal with all of this on my own," I say with a shaky laugh, "To be perfectly honestly I'm lost and I don't know what to believe."

Gregory lets out a sigh as he tightens his hold on me while caressing the soft skin of my cheek, "We'll figure it out then. I'll check to see if it's legitimate or not and if it is, well then that's up to you. I'll stand by you with whatever choice you make." He tells me, giving me another tender kiss while I try to mentally relax myself.

"Come on." He says, loosening his arms and instead clasping one of his in my own. We both make a move for the door until I realise something, a small giggle escaping me as I tug him to a halt. "What?" He questions in complete seriousness, probably expecting me to blurt out something but stopping when he notices the smile on my face. I try to further tug my hand out of his but the man doesn't seem to let up, not realising what I'm hinting at.

"As much as I'd love to hold your hand around the office, I don't think it'd be appreciated much." I say with another short laugh, watching as the frown replaces all other expression on his face. "Oh right." He grumbles in bemusement, letting go of my hand with a tad too much of dramatics.

"Don't let go." He says theatrically while I playfully roll my eyes at him.

"You do know she let go right?" I question, indirectly mentioning the movie that had me flooded in tears the entire time I was watching it resulting in a blotchy red face and puffy eye bags.

I was a complete and utter mess that day.

All I get in return is more grumbles, the man not liking the thought of letting go of my hand as he tugs at my arm and pulls me further into him once more. I go to protest but instead find his lips placed on mine, silencing not only my words but also my thoughts as he lowers his hands from my own and letting them trail all over my body till they come to rest on the base of my hips. My own make their way to his suit clad chest, tugging at the lapels of his jacket to push him impossibly closer.

A groan echoes throughout the other wise silent room when I let the man claim his mark on me by opening my lips just a tad bit so that his tongue can meet with mine. I can already feel his smirk against my mouth as the taste of peppermint invades my senses full blast. A gasp escapes me this time when one of his hands pulls me closer into him, the other reaching behind me and trailing down till he gets a handful of my behind, the action leaving me even more so breathy then the kiss itself. A warning runs through my mind in case some one finds us in such a comprising position, the words failing me to explain how something like this can happen on accident.

I tripped and my lips landed on my bosses? Yeah I don't think that will go over too well.

All rational thoughts leave my mind as the kiss gets deeper and hotter, my hand trailing up to delve into his hair, mussing the blond strands up till they're sticking out in every direction like a frenzy just occurred. The hairstyle making him ten times hotter in my eyes as his lips let go of mine only to land onto the base of my exposed neck where he continues to pepper kisses. I try to catch my panting breaths, my chest heaving with motion but then stopping completely when a gasp sounds throughout the room.

A rather feminine gasp at that with a flair of dramatic-ness edged into it.

Gregory realises this all too soon as he lifts his head up out of my neck and towards the perpetrator of the noise. He doesn't even blink nor does he loosen his hold on me all while I try to put distance between us and pretend like she's apparitions of things that aren't happening in real life.

"Hey Chrissie." Greg calls out casually, almost as if she didn't walk in on her boss and his intern casually making out in the photocopying room. The woman in question stares back wide eyed, her mouth dropping open as she looks back and forth between the two of us.

"H-hi." She manages to gasp out after a few moments of awkward silence, my own squirming not registering in Gregory's mind as he continues to stare back at her unabashed.

"Um." Is all I get out, the cliché words, 'this isn't what it looks like' running clear in my head but I know I'll just be shot down then and there by the both of them.

"Is this what it looks like or is this not what it looks like?" Chrissie asks, or rather more, demands as she puts her hands on her hips and cocks a brow. Her once shocked expression now morphing into a hard and calculating one, assessing the both of us being wrapped up in each others hold.

"If it looks like two people making out then it is exactly what it looks like." Greg comments nonchalantly that gets him an elbow in his ribs from me.

How is the man not freaking out about this? If Chrissie goes to the boss I'll be done for and most likely Greg will be too. My internship down the drain and the career I want to pursue going up in a puff of smoke. The entirety of this situation only now hitting me in full force.

"Is there something going on between you two?" She continues to ask, blatantly ignoring Greg's previous words while she wags a finger between the two of us.

"We're in a relationship?" Greg says in a deadpan manner, his own brow raised now and a twinkle entering his eye. The exact same one that occurs when he starts to get sassy with however starts talking back to him, or well, however, tries to do so. Out sassing Gregory is a feat only few can accomplish.

"What sort of relationship?" Chrissie fires again, my own temper now coming to a dead end after its fuse runs short.

Is this some kind of game show or interview that she expects us to answer her without batting an eye at the woman.

"Jee Chrissie, I wonder what kind of a relationship two people are in when you've walked in on them when they had their tongues down each other's throats." That earns him another jab to the rib via my elbows, this time a subdued groan slipping past his lips while he reaches down to rub at the tender skin.

"So you guys are dating now? Is it official?" The woman doesn't seem to be getting a hint that her questions are unwarranted and that we're the least bit interested in answering them. However, when I catch Gregory opening his mouth again, I beat the man to his game. Answering for us instead.

"He's my boyfriend. Now if you will excuse me, I have some files that need to be delivered to someone's desk. I'll catch you later." I say with finality running through my tone.

I can barely move passed her before the woman explodes, her arms flying everywhere while Gregory tries to shuffle passed her.

"Oh my God! Congratulations!" She cries out, leaving me rather dumbfounded and even causing Gregory to frown in confusion.

"Um thanks?" I say, a bit too confused as she throws her arms around me before letting go and doing the same to Greg.

"Don't let me keep you guys. Go on ahead. I'm so happy for you both." The woman continues to gush even while the both of us have stepped foot out of the photocopying room.

We head back to Gregory's office in silence, a shit eating grin plastered on his face while I frown at our predicament.

"What if she tells the boss Gregory?" I ask him as soon as his office door shuts behind us and he takes a seat at his desk. I'm awarded with a handsome smirk which is off set with the wiggling of his eyebrows.

"I am the boss baby. What? Is she going to come to me to file a complaint about me?" He says with a short laugh, my own smile involuntarily slipping onto my face which I try to rearrange into a frown.

"I mean, that's an abuse of power." I say off handedly which Greg shoo's away with a wave of his hand, "Don't worry about it. We don't have any strict company policies about dating here. Only if your relationship passes the two month mark do we make HR get involved so that they can lay down some ground rules." He informs me to which I nod, relief taking over my body as my shoulders droop.

The peace and relief is sadly short lived as Gregory taps away at his laptop for a few seconds before he raises a brow and lets out a soft 'oh.'

"What's wrong Gregory?" The man fidgets under my gaze, seeming rather unsure about what to say as he fiddles around with his tie.

"If it's what I think it's about, just spit it out please." I mumble in a low voice, taking a seat in front of his desk as he nods his head while clearing his throat.

"The report I asked for came back," he continues slowly while my own hands clam up at the pause he takes.

"It's been comforted. The woman that called was your maternal aunt."
