The structure was massive. It wasn't built into the ground, it was actually the huge mother ship so to say. So in case of emergency they could just move their entire base, smart. The outside was a stormy gray and the windows were tinted dark blue. Hazel held her breath as she stood at the edge of the woods. Jacob pulled out the bombs next to her and handed them out. Hazel felt the cool metal in her hands and felt a sense of power, she held power in her hand.

Jacob stopped at Rebecca and hesitated.

"What, just give me the dang thing," She ordered and reached out to grab it but Jacob held it over his head.

"I am not sure. You haven't proved to be the most, how do I put it, responsible person lately. Kade gets two," He said straight forward and moved on.

Rebecca had a scowl plastered on her face and she rolled her eyes.

"We have to plant them accordingly. IN important places, weapons room, headquarters, etcetera," Jacob explained.

"We should split up," Kade suggested, "I'll go with Sophia and Alex."

Cory nodded, "Sounds good to me. I'll take Jacob and Hazel."

"Who elected you team leader?" Jacob asked.

"Who elected you?" Cory persisted.

"Well, I know the most so it is a natural choice," Jacob replied and folded his arms.

"You straight up lied to us! You're one of them!" Cory exclaimed.

"One of them?" Kade asked in a confused tone.

"I would never be one of them, they have my parents. That is not something I would risk," Jacob shot back.

"Then why not tell us before hand?!" Cory retorted.

"As I said, it is not something I tell people! Imagine if it was you who had a secret you'd been keeping for more than ten years!" Jacob snapped.

I need to stop them.

"Guys-" Hazel stepped forward when Rebecca stomped her foot.

"What about me!" She cried.

"Guys!" Hazel shouted and stood between them.

Jacob and Cory stepped back and Hazel made sure they were a full arms length away from each other.

"Really? Are you two really this selfish and stubborn?" Hazel scorned and they looked at the ground with guilt.

No one spoke, even Rebecca.

"Come on. Cory, I have known you since middle school, I know you can be a better person then you are now, you have changed, don't let that all unfold. And Jacob, lighten up a bit. Stop being so controlling, this is a democracy people," Hazel said calmly.

"But-"

"Really? Don't even start," Hazel interrupted Jacob and he let his breath go.

"We all need to calm down, now let's split up and I don't want to hear a weird from either of you for at least ten minutes," Hazel sighed as they crept forward, closer to the target and crouched behind a random bunch of four or five boulders.

"Hey, you're not leader either," Rebecca stood up and said.

"Rebecca!? What the hell are you doing!? Get down!" Alex said in a soft yet stern voice.

"You can't tell me what to do little kid," Rebecca laughed.

Hazel grabbed her ankle and dragged her to the ground and put her hand over her mouth.

"If you don't shut up, the rest of us would happily leave you for them," Hazel said through gritted teeth, "we're being generous by letting you stay. You've done nothing but slow us down and complain."

Hazel released her and she started to fix her hair.

"Ugh, no! Jacob wouldn't kick me out and he doesn't think I'm useless," She looked hopefully at Jacob and he didn't even glance at her.

"Let's go," Kade said and they sprinted forward and crouched on the outside of the building behind a supply truck.

Hazel accidentally landed to hard and banged her head on the metal truck. She moaned with pain and squinted her eyes. She grabbed the place of throbbing pain and took in a deep breath.

"You ok?" Cory whispered and crouched next to her.

She nodded so small Cory could have missed it.

Cory held out his hand as he stood out and Hazel took it as he helped her up.

Jacob put an ear to a small door that blend in to the wall. He turned the knob and peered in. He waved in a gesture that told them to come on and Hazel poked her head in before letting Alex in.

They huddled in a group, constantly checking to make sure no one was coming. Cory, Jacob, Kade, and Hazel had guns in hand and at the ready.

"Ok, I'll go the left hall, you go right?" Kade suggested and Jacob nodded.

"Sounds good, meet at the wood's edge after," Cory said and the group broke apart.
