The War Against Light
Just as a simple flower brings one great mirth,
There is a war above the earth.
Fought by demons and angels alike,
It is a battle for life.
A war against light.
A truce is nonexistent;
The troops are far too persistent.
But down here on Earth,
In a land of new birth,
The war in a new light.
It is like a hurricane.
Powerful, strong, hard to blame.
It comes without fear,
Destroys us all here.
Those who wait for light.
While the battle grows strong,
One sings this new song:
"Calm, my child,
No need to be wild.
The storm will be gone by light."
When the battle is finished,
Fear shall diminish.
And joy will abound
With a glad sound,
"The light has come!"
But in one single house,
Life is as feeble as a mouse.
It is weaker,
And notably meeker.
The darkness has come for us.
But with great gladness
Let all hearts be free of sadness,
Joyful shouts across the earth
Sing of a new rebirth.
The wondrous Light has come.
Abounding with grace and cheer,
A handsome arc shall appear
It stays for but a moment,
But its message is potent.
"The light is here."
