Four days 'til Christmas: lights

If there was one word to describe the situation that May was in, it was awkward.

Completely, utterly, totally, awkward.

Last grand festival, May and Drew had their parents meet each other. It had taken less than two seconds before Caroline and Mrs. Hayden reconized each other.

Apparently they had been collage room mates.

...So yeah. As if it wasn't awkward enough having your rival's mom be your mom's old room mate, for some reason everyone thought it would be a great idea to spend Christmas together.

Long story short, Maples and Haydens were currently at the Petalburg gym setting up decorations.

(A/N I'm my world, the Maple house and the Petalburg gym are connected.)

As of now, All of the adults (and Max) were outside, decorating out there. Drew was in the living room hanging up some lights, and May was decorating the stair railings with garland.

-CRASH-

The sound echoed throughout the house, though May pinpointed the source to the living room.

May's pulse raced. Drew was in the living room! Was he okay?!?!

She sprinted in as fast as she could, to find Drew laying on the ground.

By the looks of it, he had fallen off the ladder while trying to hang some lights on a high mantle.

May resisted the urge to smack her forehead. Why had he even tried to hang the lights up there?

Normally Drew would never be so clumsy, but May knew perfectly well that he was TERRIFIED of heights. More likely than not, he had squeezed his eyes shut, resulting in falling off the ladder.

She knelt beside him. "You alright?"

"I think so..." He stood up and May giggled.

"What?"

"It looks like we have two Christmas trees this year!"

Upon falling, Drew had somehow managed to get himself tangled in the long string of lights.

----------------------

Ah, yes. Drew's fear of heights makes it's second appearance.

For those of you who have not seen the first appearance, it is one of my one shots called 'fair fun?'.

See ya!
