The man who murdered the boy turned himself in and willingly accepted his jail time. Officers commented on how he was the quietest and most patient prisoner they've ever had.

      The teen boy's funeral was in a local church and he happened to have several siblings and a widowed mother, who were devastated.

       At night, prisoners could here the man crying in his cell, while praying for forgiveness. One day, he asked for a priest and held the Sacrament of Penance for the first time in three years in that very cell.

       Once free from prison, he firstly visited the grave of the young teen whom died a horrible, yet happy death. He wept there for some time and then. a sudden bright light flashed before his eyes and floating in front of him, was the boy, dressed in white robes and his whole form glowed a heavenly light.

       Such a beautiful sight awed the man, but at the same time scared him:

       "I always knew you'd find your way back on the path," he smiled brightly.

       "I'm so sorry."

        "You've already been forgiven, by God and by me, you just need to forgive yourself."

         The bright light vanished and the man was standing alone in the graveyard.

         He visited the boy's family and apologized and the reply from the mother was:

         "If my son forgives you, I forgive you."

          After days of searching and praying, the man finally found the grace to forgive himself of his crime.
